Attacking the Queen again, Ash could suddenly remember something. Something to do with her real life, and the academy. She could see in her mind a little pin, her emblem, HERS. But, most of all she could remember how if she was defeated by another student of Amityville, she would have to give it up to them. It would be the proof that she had been defeated, and really she didn't want to ever have to face such a loss.

"Ah. Oi'm sorreh." Wincing at the damage he caused to the other, the hatter extended a hand as apology. "Oi thought oi saw the queen, but her image faded to ye..." His face was worried. "Are ye hurt much?"

Joy had been hoping someone from the White Queen's faction had their cards working but the guy with David had proven her wrong. "s**t," was all she could manage given her current condition. What she wanted to do was make a joke of things, like how at least now the rest of her skin will match her face. (Yeah, something was definitely lost in translation.) But then everywhere around them, mirrors appeared.

Okaaaaaaaaaay, either the White Queen's been reading too much Snow White, or- the rest of her thought was cut off when she was assaulted with the image of some lovey-dovey couple. Which turned out to be a one-sided thing. Which then turned out to be some sort of plot from a telenovella on the girl's end?

The next thing she knew, shards from a mirror were stabbing into her, and then there was a fist. There was a solid crack as knuckles connected with her cheek, and all Joy could think was Oh. It is ON, ******** was already losing the feeling of her hands and feet but she had enough anger to make her knees propel her forward. Even without the full dexterity of her limbs, she could still throw her weight around. Literally. And ended up falling on Feytouched with her full weight."And now. We're even."

Joy asks hapl me up?

Joy didn't have that much problems with lying on top of some random dude. Mostly because in her head she fell on him and was still crushing him with her weight until she could wrangle herself upright. (Except she's not really, she may be getting petrified but she didn't think she was gaining weight, was she?) It was a slow process that may have required some help but she eventually got back on her feet.

When she looked up, she made the mistake of looking into a mirror. Her good eye widened at the sight. Because she was older. A whole lot older. Like two whole decades older! And she, she wasn't alone. She was carrying a little boy with pale, pale hair. He was fast asleep, with his head cradled in the crook of her neck.

From off-mirror left, an older girl with a mess of dark hair and bright green eyes ran in. Sporting a muddied white dress and skinned knees, the girl came running up to her, all bright smiles and a missing front tooth. "Mama, mama! Look at what I found!" the child giggled, showing Joy a bunch of feathers she suspected came from a neighbor's feather duster.

Joy didn't look the type and she certainly didn't act the sort with her adventurous weekend excursions, but she wanted to have kids. She wanted to be a mom, not necessarily a housewife because she was sure she'd go stir-crazy from it but she wanted to be a mom. And to her, that was the highest form of authority, not just guiding and teaching and making decisions in their lives but having the power to bring them into the world.

But the White Queen swept into view and laughed. Laughed and called her silly and that what she thought of authority was stupid. Joy couldn't feel it but she was willing her hands to ball into fists, and she lunged with a choking scream.

Only to realize that like with the mad hatter, whom she struck wasn't who she expected it to be.

Joy barely had the time to recover from the first glimpse into the future when a second one made itself known. It was weird to say the least. She didn't look that much older than she did right now, which should have already prompted her to stop looking. The thing was, there didn't seem to be any real indication that it was future.

She was pedaling along at a casual speed, obviously in no rush, laughing at something the silhouette riding beside her said. And when she actually saw the features, when the form took a distinct shape and she saw it was Andoy, Joy almost thought the mirror was defective and showing her the past. Because Andoy had been dead for five years but there he was, and there she was, laughing and cycling along the crisscrossing chain-link fence's shadows.

As soon as they pulled away from the fence it hit her. While the posts and signs and the occasional shrub cast shadows, neither she nor Andoy did.

The next thing she knew, she was ramming her shoulder into the mirror. Through the mirror and right at another person behind it.

Ampota naman ito does nobody think to ******** move around here?! she mentally fumed.

Another vision, and this time belonging to...was it one of the others? The things from the other world? Or was it a hunter like herself, imagining themselves as such? With a frown, America took in the scene, and there was such in it that told her if there's truth to what she saw, then she was definitely better in Moon. There was no room for the sort of softness the scene inspired when you were in Sun, not really, not if you had to attack and mean it.

It's kind of shitty when the enemy is made up of monsters and they still manage to seem like people.

By now she was expecting the sudden strike out of nowhere, though it didn't hurt any less for all that. She gave the smaller girl a tight smile and nodded, "It's fine, don't worry. This battle is ******** us all up."
