Why were so many of the others complaining about this? It was simple! Not work that a prince should be doing, of course, but simple nonetheless.

All of the stones were just abundantly lying around. Edgar made a mental note to mock literally everyone he saw on the beach once he resurfaced.

As Edgar moved towards another cave, he thought that he might have discovered one of the reasons the other subjects disliked diving. Rather, it discovered him.

If this were not occurring underwater, Edgar would have shouted something like 'begone!' at the seaweed. But it was, so we were all saved from that brief moment of absurdity.

The choice to come along on this dive mission was definitely among those life choices, however. Edgar's doubts only strengthened when more seaweed coiled around one of his legs.

Daggerlike weapons were not particularly effective in deterring seaweed, but Edgar tried anyway. He eventually escaped.

Just past the seaweed was another cave of stones. Edgar grabbed the edge of the cave and peeked inside.
