[death solo]

A hand was held in his as they walked. Everything was all wrong but also all right. It felt odd but wonderful, exciting to be this close. Happyness flooded through him followed by contentment.

They danced, awkwardly barely touching but still almost there. She was beautiful in red. It reminded him of fire. blue fire. Never mind that her touch was cold. That they were awkward and both knew little, barely enough to get by. That his fire was bound, it would only be for tonight. And tonight he would spend every moment he could here.

He gave up his heart to this entity who promised knowledge. Figures raced towards him, fulfilling his wish. They called. Was that his true name? Why could he still not remember it? he almost regretted giving up his heart. it was his wasn't it? But he was there to be a sacrifice... his own heart had been pulled out once before.

His hands were covered in blood the rusty scissors in hand. He didn’t even realize what he had done, not until she was after him… hand wrapped around his neck, chocking, drowning. Gold fell around him like a blanket smothering, no holding him. The warm memory was warped with the attack and he could not let go of either, nor escape. He both wanted to hold her and run far away. His hand wrapped into the gold as he tried to regain something.

“My pumkpin, don’t be afraid… she isn’t that mad. She wouldn’t do anything to hurt you.” He leaned into a soft warm embrace fingers moving through his hair, circling his horns. “I know sometimes she gets angry and frustrated, but it’s because she loves you. Just as I do. If it ever comes to it, she will protect you.” Another set of arms, this one calmer more relaxing, a memory that was untainted by hearts or scissors. His mind stayed on that thought for a long moment.

“Don’t be afraid.”

He did his not to be as he faded away.

Blessing of the Hopeful
((Memory 5))

"So, you want to go to the Amityville Academy? Why. You are our heir and you must learn our ways of business."

"I'm not gonna learn the ways here, mother. I learn by doing things, and you know I don't like the methods of teaching you prefer. If I go there, I will be able to learn about my abilities. That, you'll have to admit, you don't even have control of."

The woman crossed her arms. "There will be other demons there that have the same mentality as us, ***'****. Perhaps they'll be a better influence on you than we have... yes, perhaps this is an option for us. I'll consider it. But we are doing this under my rules and my stipulations."

He pulled back his leg then sent it forward, putting a good amount of force behind it, and the ball was shot forward. It practically flew through the air, passing all the other soccer players until it hit the net. The whistle was blown and a cheer went up from his team. "We did it!" He cheered and pumped his fist in the air, happy they won and ecstatic he made the winning goal.

She'd been on his bed, because she liked it there. She had no where else to be, even though she was getting the impression that he wanted her to leave. She'd nearly gotten up, too, but she had hesitated.

The
crack! hadn't offered any warning, and suddenly he was close, pushing her over, above her and close. She knew the chair had broke, he'd fell, and now she was pinned to his bed. She nearly panicked. Her heart raced. Her hands were against him and... "Um." She didn't know what else to say.

She was terrified, though. Not by the fact that he was so close. Not by the fact that she could feel his heart beating under her hands, or by the fact that she could see nothing but his face and smell nothing but him. She was afraid that she'd do something silly. That she'd kiss him. Or worse, that he wouldn't kiss her.

*** was hot and sticky and he was pretty sure he was never going to get the pie stains out of his sheets. Or the carpet. The wall, maybe, but other peoples' doors were their own problem. He was never going to be able to so much as think about pie again without blushing. He'd never be able to look Tuck in the eye after this.

Totally worth it, *** thought to himself with a grin.

It slowly faded and died as the brief burst of happiness was countered by sudden and crushing guilt. They would never be able to eat pie again. They would never have embarrassing morning afters. They would never have to worry about something as trivial as stains, because they were dead and it was his fault.

/You're kinda stupid,/ Gir murmured sleepily, as if he'd been awoken from slumber by ***'s noisy thoughts.

Hey, thanks, buddy.

/If I eat a gumball and I choke on it a bunch and it gets stuck in my throat and I cough and I cough and I cough and then I die, is that your fault?/

Well, you can't eat gumballs, so--

/NOT THE POINT is it though?/

Yes. You're my responsibility.

/But no one made me eat the gumball!/ That was probably the first thing Gir had ever said that was even remotely close to making a sliver of sense. /I don't like gumballs anyway./

[Defensive Memory 1]

"You eat so much I'm surprised your not the size of a house." It was cruelly said and the ghoul was leering over her, laughing with others near her. "I bet you ate your house so you live in a hole."

"No, of course not!" Her voice was lighter and she was even shorter, her ears over sized on her head, not quite grown into. "Don't talk about stuff you don't even know!" She was holding back tears, but standing her ground.

Inside she was trying her best to ignore it but hot tears were coming to her eyes. "I'm just normal, normal okay?!"

”Hello?”
“Hello! Hello! You sound like you’re from London, mate!”
Hemlock does not call ***. It is not a thing that is done. In fact, almost none of the Divines call each other, not unless there are Important Matters to discuss and even then they are much happier to deal with them in person. But here she is, the witch's elder witch sister giving her a call. It seems farfetched and silly, out of place and strange that Hemlock would do such a thing when *** had just seen her a month before her return to Amityville and still her sister had not shown concern then.
Now she does, now Hemlock wants to care. *** is not convinced.

And she has every right to be. Her sisters had abused her emotionally growing up and while perhaps Hemlock was never the one to do the hefty damage, she didn't stop it. She still helped, even a little.
“It’s alright. I figured you wouldn’t believe me right away anyways. We’ve not always been the best of friends. It’s almost like we weren’t even sisters!” The elder witch explains on the phone, having caught her sister in a moment that means she will forgive her. *** heaves a sigh on her end of the line and adds a soft, but genuine "But we are."
So that means it is easier to forgive. Just a little.

"I did not!" ****** had crossed her arms, staring down her brother with glaring eyes.

"Well I'm just saying if you did I forgive you but you gotta fess up." Why did he always have to tower over her like that.

"DIDNOTDIDNOT!" She roared unhappily, shaking her head from side to side. "Stop blaming me ok?!" Pursing her lips she made a squeaking sound. "I bet you did, didn't you?"

"Don't you think you're being overly defensive? If you did you should just-"

"I DIDN'T!"

[Memory 1 creative ]

He dipped the candle carefully, one after another in a deep red until the stick was long but still thin. His mum watched from nearby a book in hand as she made sure he didn’t do something stupid, like spill the wax over himself like he did a while ago. Splotched still covered his cloths as he carefully changed from read to black. Blood candles he would call them. He explained his idea to his mum who smiled and told him what a good idea it was.

When his mother got home showed her the creation, lighting it, her smile as she gave it a small bit of amusement. “Perhaps if you make enough you could sell them.”

He shook his head. “One of a kind, just for you. Well you and mum.” Maybe he would make a few more for them but only them. His other candles remained simple white, red, black. But this one was for his mother.

blessing 1/5

Eyasa remembered a pretty blond girl, with the fluffiest hair-- Charlotte. Saya struggled over the piano to learn the music, hesitantly pressing keys along the way as the division assistant prodded her in her own nervous way. She recalled the first time she met her, the shh motions as Charlotte indicated they head somewhere secret--

blessing 2/5

She fell into the orange division's lead's arms, like a princess. He mentioned something about princess tutu to Simon--

blessing 3/5

She was curled up in Wilson's arms-- What had she been crying about again?

blessing 4/5

"N-no, we're not together--"

She heard a defensive remark behind her, to the grinning hunters in front of them.

"We havent even decided yet--"

blessing 5/5

There was a strange boy, almost obsessed with games, as he and her started an avid talk in the hallway and she learned the secrets of the universe from him.

#### didn't say a word to her as he got up and left the room. She didn't even try, just watched him go. He did see her lean over to grab the phone, no doubt to call their parents.

The lights to his room remained off as he walked into it, he didn't want to turn them on. Not to see the disappointment on his face followed quickly by the anger and frustration that flooded his system. How many years had he been dreaming of this, waiting for this day. Not this day, not like this though. Not this rejection. Not like this.

He was standing in front of his humble display of morphers, figures and megazords. Meager in comparison to some people's he'd seen online but decent enough for a barely into college student living with his sister. #### grit his teeth looking at them, snarled under his breathe. Picked up the Delta Squad Megazord and smashed it against the wall.

Memory 1/5 - Greater

She was slightly consoled by the ghost of a smile the other ghoul gave her, but then she left and she was fairly certain it really was over. The trouble was she still couldn't quite bring herself to move, she was just terrified that something would return.

She gave a slight jerk as she felt something heavy on her shoulders and then relaxed slightly as the warmth and familiarity of HIS coat surrounded her. She seemed to wither slightly under it her arms moving into the sleeves as she let the leather protect her exposed skin from the night air. Her lips twitched in a faint smile, she was sure he hated watching her fight in just her negligee, but really everyone had been so preoccupied staying alive it wasn't like she was being ogled. No doubt he'd been more concerned about her being exposed and being seriously injured, but really she'd fought in less or equally impractical outfits before.

"I...I'm very tired...I think...we should go see how our suites have fared..." She leaned against him slightly her fingers tracing over his arms and her eyes on his chest as if assuring herself he was unharmed before she moved back towards the Demon Dorms swaying slightly. She paused to look back again her eyes worried, would she be able to sleep knowing those things could appear as they had someday again?

So many questions...and no answers in sight. With a soft sigh she turned her eyes away from the gate and let her boilfriend help her back to her room.

She regarded the stallion as he rose to motion her further into his hut, silver and gold trailing from the toes of his boots, up strong legs to caress the chiseled plains of his stomach before raising to meet the crimson of his eyes. Her own filled with an appreciative heat as she heeded his invitation and strode across the fur strewn floor until she could lay the delicate tips of dark fingers against his chest.

She could have told him that she'd literally rushed to see him. Running on bare feet across the grounds of the reserve just to lay eyes on that familiar, handsome face, and hear the rough gravelly tone of his voice. She could have let it all spill from her lips in needless words, but instead she let the truth of it show in her eyes, in the gentle glide of her fingers over tanned skin as she slide her hands upward to his shoulders and around to lace at the back of his neck. Standing on tip toe so she could rest the barest whisper of a kiss at his throat. Could he assist her? Oh yes, he certainly could.

Trebor never saw what he was looking for when he turned around. His big body fell like a tree, crashing to the ground, but he never felt it fall. His heart had been all that was keeping him standing, and now he was gone. It still rested on the gold pedestal, beating with yellow and iridescent light. He was still there, but only just. A collection of memories, nothing more.

They played like a movie, chopped up and edited wrong, faded around the edges, but somehow still just right.
