Lillian nodded as she listened to Adrian, letting her eyes drift around, taking in all that she typically would have overlooked just due to it being night. "It really is nice out here. I really do miss out on things when going to bed. Maybe I should stay up later on the weekends. I--" she said, but was interrupted as she saw three silver colored fox kits. She figured that these must have been the foxes that Adrian had mentioned and she looked at them in awe, yet she noticed the one that stopped and was looking at her with a quizical look about its face. "Those are the cutest little fox kits I've ever seen." she said in a soft tone as she looked over the kits in turn. When Rokai settled herself right between Lillian and Adrian, Lillian tilted her head and then softly chuckled at Adrian's comment. 'That's cute.' she said in reply to Adrian as noticed Roxy staring at the three fox kits curiously, yet not moving at all.

Adrian shrugged one shoulder at her comment about Rokai. "Animals have their own minds and souls, which tend to be drawn to different people just as some people are naturally drawn to others," he murmured, not mentioning that he was drawn to her like a magnet. He saw Getsu, the amethyst eyed fox kit, dart at Roxy and shoot between her paws in an obviously playful way. Akami came more slowly before she nuzzled Adrian's hand, obviously wanting attention as she stared at Lillian with her deep amber eyes. "Animals are far smarter than so many realize, if people simply pay attention," he said softly.

Holding one hand for the kits to sniff Lillian rubbed Rokai behind her ears with the other hand. She wasn't paying attention to Roxy for the moment, though Roxy wasn't doing much other than staring at the foxes, until one darted between her legs. Roxy jumped and tugged at her leash while trying to play gently with the fox kit. "Woah Roxy! Let me get this leash off before you choke yourself on it." Lillian said as she got up and removed the leash, hoping that Roxy wouldn't run off into the trees if the kit took off out of sight. 'Yes, yes they do. Yet there are some people who think that animals are just things that have no feelings or anything. I know what you mean about that, I mean Roxy and I were so close when I first saw her. I didn't think that any of the other puppies were like her. And I know what you mean about being people being drawn to one another.' she replied to Adrian as she walked over to the blackberry bush, grabbed some from it and went back over to Adrian. "I think that I may take some of these home with me. Dad might like them." she said, thinking of grabbing more to take home with her. She suddenly thought of her phone, which was in the Jeep and she wondered if she should check it, yet she didn't want o be bothered by that right then because she was enjoying spending time with Adrian and watching Roxy playing with the fox kit, though she could tell that Roxy was mostly letting the fox do the playing and she just romped around trying to keep from being caught.

Adrian tilted his head upwards, gazing at the moon. "There's a basket behind the bush," he said softly, well aware that in the silence his voice was clearly audible. He knew the basket was roughly half the size and diameter of a basketball, so quite a few berries could fit in it.

Lillian let her feet hang in the water for a little while longer, though she started to get really tired and she pulled them from the water. As she did this she heard Adrian saying that there was a basket behind the bush and she figured that she was going to be able to use that to take some of the berries home for her father. She stood up, sliped on her shoes before heading over to the bush and finding the basket. She filled it up nearly to the top, but she did not fill it completely. "I think that we should get going. I'm getting tired and I'm not all that comfortable driving tired..." she said, setting the basket of blackberries in between the two front seats, before calling Roxy over, who was a little reluctant to come and stop playing. Although, she came after a moment and jumped into the back seat of the Jeep.

Adrian nodded. "That's fine with me; it's a cool night with winter coming, and I think the last thing you'd want to do is get sick," he said with a slightly teasing smile. He wasn't surprised when Rokai rose and followed Roxy, nuzzling the Husky as if comforting the dog. He was mildly amused when the fox kits yelped as if saying 'stay, play with us'. He blinked as he realized he could understand what they were barking. "We'd love to, but maybe we can come back either tomorrow or in a few days, I don't know," he said quietly to the kits, two of whom ducked their ears as if they understood while Getsui yipped a couple of times, her barks sounding muffled. He snorted an incredulous laugh as he saw the little fox kit, who was all of a foot and a half from her nose to the tip of her tail, holding a writhing fish almost twice and half again her size in her mouth as she dragged the trout up onto the bank. "I think we have a fishing fox," he murmured to Lillian, fighting back chuckles of amusement.

Lillian looked over to Adrian as she heard him speaking and she nodded at what he'd said. She certainly did not feel like getting sick because she was always so miserable when she got a cold. Watching as Rokai nuzzled Roxy in a comforting sort of way Lillian smiled. "I wouldn't really like getting sick... Being sick is no fun at all, though I do like getting to eat chicken soup and laying in bed all day. But I can't go have fun or hang with anyone when I'm sick," she said pouting. As she heard Adrian talking to the fox kits she just thought that he was guessing what they had been saying, not realizing that he could really understand them. "I think that we'll probably be back tomorrow. I could more than likely talk Daddy into coming, well if I turn some of these blackberries into jam, since he really likes the jam I make. It's a pain and it took forever for me to learn how to make it from my grandmother on Daddy's side of the family." she said as she hopped into the driver's seat and belted up, waiting on Adrian. She heard the comment about a fishing fox and she gave a small chuckle. 'That sounds adorable,' she gave in reply before thinking about something, she had seen the kits, yet she hadn't seen the mother. 'Where's the mother fox...? They can't be out here unprotected... right?' she asked, knowing that she probably was worrying too much and that the mother was likely somewhere nearby watching from the shadows, though she wanted to be sure those three fox kits were not out there alone.

Adrian tilted his head slightly. "Well, I wouldn't mind being sick if you were feeding me chicken soup, though I don't think I've had it before," he said softly with a faint smirk, teasing Lillian. He glanced around the bushes, noticing a momentary flicker of silvery fur and pale silver eyes. "She's not too far away... she's almost as intelligent as a human," he murmured, fairly sure that their mother was far more than she appeared.

Lillian grinned sleepily as she heard Adrian speaking. "I could give it to you even if you're not sick. It really helps to warm a person up if they are cold. I do that sometimes." she said as she turned the Jeep on and tilting her sleepy head at Adrian, wondering if he was going to come before she got tired and passed out. She wasn't really that tired, but she was tired and wanted to get home, shower off and then get to bed. 'That's a relief. I was afraid those sweet little foxes were alone. And I could believe that, since animals can be nearly as smart as people, some can be smarter than certain people. Mostly the idiots who are ruining the environment with their stupid cities... All that icky smog and smelly city stink. It smells so nice out here. yet there are people who say that the trees, and forest smell stinks. I think that it smells refreshing and I don't choke when I breathe.' she said to Adrian as she looked back into the rear seat and had to stop Roxy from trying to eat the blackberries. "No, Roxy! Those are for Dad... I'll get you some food when we get home..." she said, receiving a whimpering bark that was pretty much her begging Lillian to let her have some of the berries.

Adrian slid into the Jeep, unconsciously touching her hand and without even thinking about it, gave her a bit of his own energy, not realizing it would be the equivalent of giving her a shot of adrenaline. "Don't worry, Roxy, I have a few," he said quietly, offering the Husky one of the berries, blinking as Rokai quickly snapped up the other in his hand with relish.

Lillian yawned momentarily before she felt Adrian touch her hand. Her tiredness was almost instantaneously gone and she couldn't figure out why, though she just drove home and pulled the vehicle into its parking place and slid out of the Jeep. She let Roxy out of the car and told her to go inside while she grabbed the basket with the blackberries. "You know, I really didn't want Roxy to have one, but I guess that it's all right... I just hope she doesn't get sick like she did when she got into that blackberry jam... Although, it could have been that she ate the whole jar without hardly even taking a breath." she said as she grabbed the basket and moved aside so that Rokai could come out. She thought about what might be said if there was a fox-wolf hybrid walking around the house, though she hoped that her father might let it go and not get angry.

Adrian was mildly amused when Rokai walked towards the rear of the house as he unconsciously expanded his senses and realized she'd slipped into the guest bedroom quietly. He saw how Lillian bit her lip as if nervous. "Hey, your father won't see Rokai unless she wants to be seen, though if she picks up some of Roxy's begging habits it'd be kinda funny," he said with a chuckle, guessing from her body language what she was thinking rather than reading her mind. "Trust me, if Roxy likes your jam that much, I'll have to try it sometime," he murmured, unaware that that choice of words could have been misconstrued as a sexual desire with a different kind of 'jam' though he didn't mean it that way.

Lillian headed into the house and she was relieved to hear Adrian saying that Rokai would only be seen if she wanted to be. "That's good. I wouldn't want Daddy freaking out and I know that Mom won't ever say anything about her. And I think that might be funny too, yet there could still be an issue... I mean he barely wants Roxy, other than for breeding. But if he sees Rokai, well he may just have a fit..." she replied as she stretched. She heard Adrian speaking into her mind, although she did not pay much mind to the fact that his words could have been taken differently than they had been. 'I think that there's some strawberry preserves in the fridge that I made the day that I found you. I know that Daddy usually eats it all right as soon as it's finished, but he doesn't eat the strawberry jam as much as the blackberry. If you want that you'll have to get some either right after I finish making it, which it'd still be a bit warm, yet when you put it on toast or an english muffin it's not that bad. Or you could risk leaving it cool and have Dad find it before anyone can get some.' she gave in reply before thinking for a moment and making mention that they could put it into the mini-fridge in Adrian's room, well the guest room.

Adrian cocked his head with a playful if slight smile. "I don't know much about making jam, but I'd be willing to help, not to mention I know something else that I'm sure both of your parents would love," he said with a chuckle as he pulled out a gourd that was fixed with a wooden stopper. It held about a half gallon of a drink he'd made himself from blackberry juice, crushed strawberries, finely chopped mint leaves, fresh spring water, and a few herbs. He knew it would surprise Lillian, though he had other drinks very similar to this one in his cavern. He had used more strawberries and blackberry juice than water, however. A faint smile flickered at the corners of his mouth as he saw Roxy tilt her head before rolling in the yard in a manner that signaled a blend of her natural energetic nature and a euphoric relaxation before she rolled back to her paws. He wasn't that surprised, as the fresh scent of the mint blended with the tangy scent of the blackberries and the more subtle sweet scent of the strawberries in the air.

Lillian looked to Adrian and said that she could show him how to make it, though she would show him in the morning because she wanted to get up to her room and at least take a nap. However, before she did she called Roxy inside and heading to the kitchen to grab the strawberry jam and some slices of bread, as well as a butter knife. She had taken notice to the gourd that Adrian pulled that seemed to have something in it. She suddenly realized how thirsty she was and she asked politely if she could try some of the drink that Adrian had, if it was in fact a drink, and then she would let him have some of the jam that she made. "Just to let you know, this would taste a lot better if it were fresh, though I haven't made any since the day we met. I hope that it's all right being a few days old." she said, rubbing the back of her neck as she set the jar down with some bread on a plate.
