Everything was going pretty well, Rep wasn't really as bad as they said, or even seemed to be at first glance. Hell he seemed to have nicknamed her. The first time Mercenary had a bitter bite to it, like Canibal before it, but now? The last time Rep said it there was a sense of something else. That same bullshit me I bullshit you relationship she had with Nuk.
Never mind she was hitting on Candace. Always a plus to hit on a good looking gal' or at least it was till both of them dropped in time with each other.
Her violet eyes snapped over towards the bar tender. "You... son of a..." Before anyone could react Sammy was reaching across the bar hauling the poor bartender over to get in his face, "The ******** did you put in their drinks!?" One hand held his collar the other threw her coat to the side pulling a gun from its holster, this one jet black compared to the others white before cocking the Hammer and leveling the weapon at the poor sap.
"Someone check on them!" They where getting up and she shot them both a look as she held the squirming bartender still, "You two okay? Did he slip you something? The ******** was that?!"

Malodore straightened at the sudden sound of breaking glass; slowly, it got to its feet, an almost smug grin spreading across its face. "Are you quite well?" it asked, looking between the two of them. "Do you require... medical assistance?"
Please say yes.

Okay, now she was a little more confused than before. Olivia gave the winged boy a very puzzled look because of his response. Why was he pushing her so much into converting and making such a big deal about time, when he was waiting himself? It was only okay for himself to wait? The small girl frowned, but didn't say a word on the matter but just turned and walked away from him.
Andrew had seemed to have read her mind about cleaning herself up, and there were only a few that Olivia could think about talking to. Roar, again didn't seem to be much of an option but Candace still might be. She was still talking to people at the bar, but ... maybe a small interruption wouldn't be too harmful. Olivia made her way over, only to squeak back in surprise when the other woman fell over.
Okay, maybe... it was a bad time? Candace had gotten back up well enough, but... "Um....."

A shout beside her pulled Candace back to 'reality', turning her attention to Samantha and nearly sneering. Her. She frowned. "We're fine. Leave that poor man alone, he's been through enough tonight." Her tone was somewhat sharper. Fainting would do that to you, right? Put you on edge? She took a few steps toward Rep to help him up until another stranger begged their attention. "We'll be fine, doctor. But thank you for your concern. We're just tired." She gave him a forced smile before turning to the next person beside her.
"Yes?"

He wasn't okay. Oh my god he wasn't okay. It felt like he wouldn't be okay again.
What had he done? What was he meant to do now?
He looked around him frantically, everyone looked so real, like they would bleed, like they would feel, like they would hurt. And Harrison. He'd betrayed him once before and he would have to again. The vision came back to him, condemning him to death.
A hand rested on his arm, Tracey's red eyes as wide and haunted as his own, she.. HE knew. He knew too. "It's not him." He said. "It's the him you were afraid of." Rep clung to Tracey's arm. It was the fallen angel, the one who lived in his head, the one who knew all the pain, all the fears he'd been living watching Harrison waste away. They'd come here for a reason, they'd come here to save him no matter the cost.
It was like he had a knife in his heart where the tattoo glowed, a source of such pride before.
He didn't want to let go of Tracey. He wanted him in his head again. He needed help, he felt like he was drowning.
"Naw. Naw man. I'm no. I think like. The alcohol like. Going to my head and s**t. I like. I should get some air."
He cast a glance back at the stage. He'd said he'd never leave him. This was him keeping his promise. It was dragging a frenzied mad cat to safety no matter how scratched he got along the way all over again. He would do what he had to do because he was lost without the other part of himself.
We'll bring you home.

Malodore half-bowed. "Such a pity," it murmured. "Ah, well. Perhaps another time, then." It retreated to its barstool, but continued to watch both Rep and Candace, its eyes bright and glittering behind the smoked lenses.

After Taima's initial reaction to physical contact, the last thing that G was expecting was the pat to the back of the hand. He only stared at it for a moment, as though afraid to hope that that had actually, yes really, happened. Her hand was snatched before she could quite pull it away, giving it a little squeeze before he immediately let go. No need to make her any more uncomfortable than necessary.
"It'd be... pretty damn unbelievable." But Gargantuan's grin was a mile wide, not unlike a kid in a candy store. Space, space, space! He loved space! He wanted to pretend to swim in it like a fish! 'Course, couldn't tell anyone that last part, that'd just be embarrassing.
The big man only nodded at her words, not about to pressure her for any specifics. After all, he didn't have any right to ask for too much information. Didn't want to scare her off just after she seemed to have gotten comfortable. "Might be real nice. Go to a beach somewhere, just relax for a while..."

Obsidian was still cocked leveled at the Bartenders chest, he was still squirming about smacking at her other hand trying to get the grip on his collar to end, and hopefully before Sammy pulled a trigger and painted the Blue Kingdom Casino a lovely shade of red.
Instead she found Candace actually seeming to snap at her which caused the girl to frown a bit, "Candace I... you and Rep just dropped like someone slipped you something foul..." She looked at the Bartender again who shouted something about doing nothing wrong and swearing on his mothers life he only ever wanted to work for the Boss. Sammy turned back again to Rep, watching the way he clinged to Tracey. It was almost disturbing, seeing the usually so cocky, so proud Queen suddenly so disturbed. Maybe nearly dying had that effect?
She looked at the Bartender one more time before giving him a thump on the head with her guns butt, he would be out for a moment, not much longer then Candace or Rep, but he would be sporting a lovely bump on his head when he went to served the next drink.
"Rep, you sure? You sure it was just the booze? Neither of you tasted anything off with your drink?" She looked at Tracey next, "And your drink, we're both up, did you feel anything odd?"

Olivia kept her mouth shut for a moment, watching Candace wave off the Confusing Doctor Man. Perhaps it was just her reasoning of the Tower, though she had no inkling of what had gone on in her beloved former home.
Olivia chewed on her bottom lip as she was then addressed, trying to find the right words, "I.. was wondering if there was a place I could get cleaned up?" She wasn't sure just how much she would be getting out of it, if anything... but anything was better than nothing.

Great. The zombie b***h was sad now. Candace managed not to roll her eyes or sigh with annoyance, instead giving Samantha a warm smile. "I understand. I'm sorry I snapped, just try not to jump to anything like that again, hm? We trust Jeeves. Family, remember?" Family. Her smile twitched almost into a frown but she fought against it. Po put a hand on her shoulder and leaned down to brush her lips against Candace's temple. Her smile returned, though sadly. "It tasted like it should have. It wasn't the bartender, trust me, okay? Seems Rep can't handle his drink as well as he boasts." She laughed and turned to grin at the man, almost losing that cocky air when she saw how..broken he looked. Oh, Rep. "...Yes. Get some air, Rep. A..Po, can you go with them to make sure they're okay? Tracey's had a hell of a night." Po nodded, leaving Candace's side to join Rep and Tracey.
"C'mon, you. I'm sure Jordan'll be comin' along any minute now too. S'for Harrison, remember?" She whispered to the man. "Gotta say, I've been wanting to talk to you for a long time. Hopefully another day will come where I'll have this chance." Atropos didn't offer a hand, not wanting anyone but Candace to touch her, but she knew Rep would understand.
"Po also fainted, Samantha. She wasn't drinking." Candace pointed out kindly, finally turning back to Olivia. "I'm sorry about that, sweetheart. Sure, there are showers in the staff locker rooms. I'll show you the way and find you some new clothes if you like. And how is your head?" They had to distract them...and eventually take them out.
At least the unfamiliar faces wouldn't be so hard, though this one was adorable.

There is a loud chime in the air, the only warning before a heavy weight settles upon everyone in the Kingdom.
Click image for the URL comic version
"I am the Voice. The Black King has fallen, but I am not merciless." Silence. Relief perhaps. It was not them. "To fight to redeem, to fight for the title as True King, I announce the Final Tournament that will take place in the Great Battlefield. The King's entry of sacrifice will be of two of your Pawns. A sacrificed Pawn is a great sacrifice indeed, and their toll must be paid in blood. If a King feels resolute about their own power, they may instead, sacrifice themselves, don their weapons, and enter the battlefield. They will pay for the blood in the battlefield themselves and fight to the end, a warrior or a True King. And to the battlefield I give my greatest blessing, a fragment of my Power. With it you may challenge many, and bring victory to your Kingdom. Fight in battle and emerge victorious, and I will bestow upon your kingdom the power of the True King."
The trials were just a beginning then, this was the real test. It was time.
OOC
PREPARING FOR BATTLE
- Let the King decide on their battle speech and make choices. - If they choose to sacrifice TWO PAWNS (who must ICly volunteer in the thread), the King will have to kill them as tribute. They can then stay in the safety of their Kingdom. They literally will just "chill" there without knowing the outcome of the battle. If a King feels the need to participate, then they may at any point in time, move to the battlefield. Once you move there you CANNOT return to a Kingdom. - If a king decides NOT to sacrifice two pawns, they will have to fight themselves in battle. - When a group is ready, simply head over HERE to commence battle, read the first post in that thread. Make sure you write in OOC what faction you're in so people don't get confused!

Rep was almost relieved when the terrifying doctor backed off, he had already woke up in dubious medical circumstances today, he was in no mood for more having science talked at him. Sammy he eyed with sinking anxiety. What did you do when you suspected people of not being real? Were you meant to be nice? They were fragments of Harrison's imagination so it would do well to keep them on their side for the time being. Like that ******** movie, if the dream like detected you and s**t it would send Leonardo Di Caprio after you....or something like that. It had been a while since he saw it.
He tended to lapse into mental rambling when he was nervous, it was only Tracey's concerned look that snapped him out of it.
"Oh right. Naw. I must have. Just.. over exerted myself or something."
His gaze flicked to Nuk and he remembered acutely the over exertions he'd flippantly referred to. The room spun again. He couldn't pass out. "I'll be awright in a minute."
His posture tensed, everything about the normally feline and relaxed Underboss twisting into something nastier, most paranoid, more self concious. The walls he hadn't needed, he needed now to shut these emotions out. Sever the ties. Cut all the fledgeling bonds to these people who his other self had been so attached to. He had no connection to them, they were tricks, lies in the way of freeing Harrison.
Something iced over in his gaze, a look not far from the way he'd eyed a cowering old lady and her sheltered scareling wards.
They were all in the way of their mission.
He was colder as he nodded to Atropos. The real Atropos. A weapon, one of them. "I'm... I'm feeling more stable now man. I was..overwhelmed. I got it now." She got a shaky smile. "Aye. Jordan. Jordan will help." Jordan had been there in that world between worlds. "It's nice to meet you again." and he meant it, it was nice to meet someone real.
Tracey helped lead Rep out of the room, into the hallway where he seemed to push down even further the emotions that seethed in him. When you had too much to deal, with don't deal with it. It had always been his coping mechanism.
"Why am I such a wanker here?"

It was a short ping pong match, watching the exchange between Candace and Sammy, and Olivia was - naturally - silent through all of it until she was addressed.
Still nice, she realized. Just when the other woman first greeted her. Olivia nodded, "That would be wonderful, thank you." She smiled weakly, "and.. its a little better, thank you." Though, hard to tell if it was still throbbing from her initial fall or just everything else piled on top of it.

Bound in blanket and good-grooming, Jerry suddenly awoke from his previous exhaustion- had he been asleep? Fainted? It didn't matter. He was awake now, and scrambling, his voice a loud, startled yelp, "ROAR! Roar oh god-" His glasses fell askew as he jerked away from Melvin, practically falling forward onto his face as the blanket restrained his movements.
Melvin was startled from resting on Jerry's shoulder when the man called out and started to flail around. Holding the other end of the blanket to him, he stared, both scared and worried. "What? What is it? Everything is okay. Shh. Look, you're clean now."
He took one of Jerry's hands in his and then looked down. "I'm here. Not...Roar." So much for their date. Unconscious people were much more enjoyable company.
