As Charlotte would finally speak, Atticus looked towards her and smiled, "Vin is just fine. In fact, he's back at mine and Shira's apartment, he has Shira and Ellise watching over him." he told her before looking around. "You should go and hide somewhere. You aren't in any condition to be fighting or worrying about someone. Whoever did this to you, will definitely try and come back to finish the job. I'll take care of them." Atticus would take the serious, even though he was not at full strength and even then, with the limiter still on, he could never be at 100%, "Let me take care of this."
Charlotte sighed in between heavy breaths, still trying to relax "Why do you think I am here?" she asked "I separated my realm from Death City last minute... The territory is locked down too now... Somehow I think they may try and find me again." she said as she glanced at the ceiling "Two assassins in one day... though the second one had these sort of bullets that were a lot stronger on me..." she trailed off then and frowned as she recalled what the girl had said and tried to get up before falling back on the couch, still weak. Whatever was in those bullets had cancelled a lot of her magic. "Mirai... The girl who attacked me said there were some more going after Mirai..." she said, obviously really worried right now.
As Charlotte spoke about Mirai and how she is being targeted as well, it took everything in Atticus, to not rush off to his sister's side. If what Charlotte said is true, then leaving her here and going off towards Mirai would be abandoning Charlotte to die. He could tell just by looking at her, that somehow, she is far weaker than she should be, even if she was shot, her powers, the seemed to have been weakened. Was it the bullets? How was it possible, who were these people that attacked her. "Sorry. Charlotte, but I can not leave you here on your own, unable to defend yourself. I want to go and check up on Mirai, but I can't abandon you, especially not in this state." Atticus would say before sighing, "Mirai is on her own...for now." It pained atticus to say this, but he had no choice, Charlotte was in danger and couldn't leave her. "Besides, Mirai is a smart girl, if she is in trouble she knows what to do."
Charlotte grimaced as she couldn't do anything at the moment. "I hope so..." she muttered, obviously worried for Mirai's safety. "Whatever group attacked me... they are definitely dangerous." she said as she looked to the side and thought about it. She looked at Atticus again "I should be fine here... when I am able to stand, I want you to go and find Mirai for my peace of mind." she told him with a dead serious expression.
Hearing Charlotte, Atticus shook his head, "Charlotte, you and I both know that aside from the injury, your powers have weakened a great deal. Whatever bullets they used on you, must be specially made to handle witches." Atticus had already reached that conclusion as no normal bullet would be able to injure and weaken her to such an extent. Thus, there must have been something special about the bullets or the shooter. "With that in mind, there is no way that I am going to leave you here on your own. Right now, your safety is more important to me. Anyway, Mirai has that boy with her, even if I don't like him, I'm sure he would protect her with his life." Atticus admitted.
Watching Charlotte relax, Atticus would smile, "For once, it is time for me to take care of you, Charlotte." Atticus said before looking over at Luen. "And you as well, Luen." Reaching over, Atticus gently took Luen into his hands and placed the doll next to Charlotte. "You two should rest. Take this time to regain the energy you lost. I'll protect you all." With that said, Atticus moved Charlotte so that she was laying down on the couch with Luen, placing a blanket over her. He honestly didn't know how to care for an injured person, since he is the one being cared for most of the time. Standing up, Atticus looked down at the two, "I'm going to go keep watch outside, if anyone tries to enter your territory, I will kill them." he told her before leaving the room and the house. As he stepped foot outside, Atticus looked around and let out an frightening yell, one full of rage, as his soul wavelength increased. He wanted to kill whoever did this, he wanted to destroy everything.
There was the sound of ripping fabric, almost as if someone were tearing a cloth in half and seemingly out a thin air a long, wicked blade cut through the reality separating Charlotte's realm and the real world. "BWAAHAHAHAHAHA you were actually dumb enough to connect your realm to the real world! It was only a matter of time before we back-traced the connection! MURDER TIME FUN TIME!" The girl stepped through the portal. Her voice and face would be very familiar to Charlotte. "Now where are you?? Oh, who's this?" She said, seeming slightly surprised to see Atticus there.
[[gotta get to bed for now but I'll be ready to fight tomorrow!]]
Charlotte was close to falling asleep until she felt a familiar presence enter the realm, she shot up then before leaning over in pain "I though I separated my realm all the way... damn it..." she muttered, it seemed she lost a majority of her energy before she was able to separate the connection between her territory and the real world completely. She couldn't do much at the moment, leaving her completely helpless.
The moment Atticus stopped yelling, he would hear a strange noise and second later a weird blade could be seen appearing out of nowhere, as it emerged, with a young girl connected to it. Seeing the girl, Atticus didn't say or do anything, until she asked who he was. The moment the last word left her mouth, Atticus had already darted in front of her, his hand cocked back and charged with his demonic energy. "Call me your executioner." he shouted as his fist was now inches from her face, with not a single expression on his face. He was in a serious mood now, he wanted to kill and the girl could not have come at a better time.
The girl leveled her gun towards Atticus and went full blast as he came for her. Bullets would slam into Atticus like a pressure hose at full strength, but strangely they wouldn't cause any damage. Nor would they hurt anymore than bee stings. The girl's eyes widened as she saw that her bullets had no effect but she didn't have enough time to dodge Atticus. Even though a single punch to the face was far from a devastating attack, its effects seemed to be much more powerful on the girl. The punch to the face sent the girl flying backwards, slamming into the ground several times before skidding along on her back for several feet until she stopped. She stared up at the sky of Charlotte's realm as she tried to recover. "owww....not a witch then..." she muttered, rubbing her face. She slowly got to her feet and reached into her pocket, pulling out what looked like a radio except much more advanced; created with unknown technology. She clicked the switch on the side. "DEMON WEAPOOOON!" She yelled into the speaker. There was a pause before a faint reply could be heard. Affirmative.....stand by. She slipped the radio back into one of the leather pouches on her belt before she turned to look in the direction of Charlotte. "Hmm...attack me or rescue her??" She asked with a grin as she pointed her machine gun in Charlotte's direction while watching Atticus. She pulled the trigger and again the sound of gunfire tore through the silence as multiple, large caliber rounds began shooting towards Charlotte.
Charlotte looked outside through the window, seeing the girl call for backup. "Crap..." she muttered before hiding and closing her eyes, trying to disconnect whatever ridge was left between her territory and the human world. She heard shots and quickly managed to hide behind some furniture which took the blows. Luen followed, obviously not wanting to get hit either. She continued trying to disconnect her territory, using whatever energy she had left before doing so. Now she was just a sitting duck. At least it seemed she didn't have to worry about any other nut jobs getting into this place.
Atticus could feel the bullets fired from the gun, hit him, but they did little to no damage at all, as his fist made contact, Atticus watched as it seemed to have done more damage than it was supposed to. Watching the girl skid along the ground before regaining her composure, Atticus had already begun to analyze what was going on. As the girl took out a radio and yelled Demon Weapon into the speaker, Atticus was left completely confused. Just as Atticus was about to rush towards the woman again, he would stop as she pointed her gun towards Charlotte's direction and started firing. "You'll pay for this." Atticus muttered as he quickly changed directions and darted off towards Charlotte's place. Rushing into the house, Atticus looked for Charlotte and found both her and Luen hiding behind the couch. As the bullets hit him, Atticus still showed little damage, it seems that he was starting to understand why this is so. "Charlotte, you need to leave this place." he stated as he ran over towards her and began typing in coordinates into his mechanical arm. "I'm sending you to Shira's, once you get there, both you and Vincent need to find a place to hide." More and more bullets would enter into the house, making more and more unstable, if they stayed there too long, the house could end up collapsing on top of them.
Charlotte frowned "If I got there, they will find me. I'm staying here." she said. She glanced outside "I need to get one of those apples from that tree I have. It is suppose to collect madness from nightmares and turn them into energy... if I eat some of those apples I will get my energy back." she said. "I will be able to fight or support you and also keep this place from collapsing." she told Atticus, looking at him "I refuse to go." she told him "I have been useless for a while now and refuse to back down."
Hearing Charlotte, Atticus glanced outside and saw the tree, but the problem was that it was located right next to the girl. "If anything happens to you, I know Divine will never forgive me." he muttered before standing up, as soon as he did, a portal would open up. "I've already got most of that girl's power figured out. She can not damage me, because for some reason, her bullets are only effective against witches, meaning you and judging from what she just said on the radio, she is calling for someone to take on a demon weapon." Atticus had finally started to understand the woman's goal and why she was after Charlotte. "And if that is the case, both of us will be in danger. Even if you manage to get an apple, you will be up against a being specifically made to kill powerful witches, while I will face one that is made to kill demon weapons. Worst case possible, we both die, but if you can leave, then at least one of us, will survive." Atticus was already on the verge of death, so why risk Charlotte's life, when his is nearly over with. "Charlotte, leave this place."
