Tenmei glanced back to see if Sho was gone yet. She was distracted for just a split second but a large ice shard caught her side, dripping blood onto the grass. Holding back a yelp in pain, she clutched at her side. However, now she seemed to be changing tactics. Tenmei moved more around the field in a circle around the mysterious man as much as she could, and with her hand over her side, she was actually making sure blood hit the ground is somewhat large amounts until they were fighting in a marsh of soppy grass and blood.

Kiden noticed exactly what Tenmei was doing. It was a risky move, but if it worked, then the mysterious man will turn out dead. However, losing so much blood to get the set up just right, Tenmei was putting herself at a great risk. The griffin actually stopped nipping at Sho's hand and merely stood next to the prince, ready to keep him safe but at the same time, knew that if this was going to end soon, there was no point in taking Sho back to the castle.

The ground was soaked with Tenmei's blood in the circle that they were fighting. As they moved around in the circle to dodge one another's attacks, blood was splashing about, coating their shins. Tenmei darted to the side to dodge another ice crystal, and fell over from the loss of blood. The man laughed and aimed a final ice shard to end it, but the man suddenly froze up himself. As soon as Tenmei had fallen, there was a spark of electricity from her oddly dark-gold colored hair. The blood sparked to life like a strobe light, bolts flying in all directions in the field of blood, but not in the normal grass. The intense amount of electricity shot through the man, however, he disappeared to dust soon after, leaving Tenmei laying in the blood.

Tenmei kept one hand over the gash in her side while looking up at Sho, smiling weakly. "C-can you... do me a favor?... Bu-urn the gash close... It'll stop the bleeding..."

Tenmei bit her lip at the flame but held rather still. Once it was over, she let out a sigh and shut her eyes. "I-i'm sorry..."

"For making you worry... for bringing you to spar in such an open area... and because I was foolish and got hurt, taking a risky move to make sure you were safe..." Tenmei responded without opening her eyes. Her voice was quiet, mostly weak, but then again, she had lost a lot of blood.

Tenmei opened her eyes slightly and looked up at him. She let out a weak laugh, only to break off coughing. When she could speak again, she shook her head back. "I'm the one... who's supposed to protect you..."

Kiden followed closely, keeping an eye on Asa as well in case the small cat wanted to ride on his back. Tenmei only sighed and shut her eyes. She didn't have the energy to argue right now.

By the time they were back at the castle, Tenmei had fallen asleep. Kiden poked Sho's arm lightly and nodded down the hall in the direction of Tenmei's room.
