I stiffen up and closely watch this man in case he is an enemy. I try to see if the lenses will reveal an ID for him.

Apollo: Your spell becomes ready for a minor blast that will deal a small amount of damage within thirty seconds. More power will require longer preparation. What do you do?
Nyx: The lenses do not give any information.
Everyone: "Thank you," the man in blue says to Willow. "It is a nice coat, isn't it?" He turns to Mazurn. "I am not a vampire," he replies. "I am a human." He then looks everyone over. "I am the President of Triton Enterprises," he says at length. "The greeting was necessary because I needed to make sure that only you seven saw me. You are the last players to have entered the game. And you shall remain the last until further notice. This is because, sadly, something has happened. The exit protocol has been shut down, and we don't know why; the NPCs aren't acting as they should, and we don't know why; and when players die in the game, they die in reality, and we don't know why." He pauses, waiting for reactions.

"So that partly explains the bad feeling I had before entering the gates of the city. Would that explain why the lenses' IDs are starting to fade and become harder to read? Also, I noticed that the dead NPCs haven't been respawning like they should have. I'm guessing that's part of it as well."

"So are we suppose to survive until you fix the problem, or do we have to figure out what is going on?" Mazurn said as he still held his sword ready, but interested in what else he had to say, if anything at all.

Still facing away, Willow spoke slightly louder so that the strange man could hear her "Maybe you can answer my question. When I tried to logout earlier it failed, but there was some sort of strange....Precense, it was only there for a second but..." she couldn't think of a better way to phrase it.

I dispel the energy from my spells upon hearing who the man is. "In other words, you are no longer in control of this world, and it's up to us to fix it. Is that the gist of what you're saying?" I say.

I relax my posture, and dispel the blades. I give him a quick curtsy. "My question is the same as Apollo's; are we to fix this matter, or are we simply holdout until the repairs? Could you also explain why I've been having weird memories... or flashbacks... or whatever these things are? I've taken like 5 fencing classes, and yet I able to swing a sword like I grew up with the stuff!"

I heavily sigh, still somewhat sad that the bandaged dude is ignoring me, but hey, this blue guy just showed up. "Hey Mr. Blue President? How much time do we have left? How much control do we have in here that we can possibly do something about this glitch?"

I stand up a bit straighter from my original crouching, fighting stance, but still hold onto my blade for security. "There's a lot of "dont know why"s in that statement...." I didn't say much else as everyone seemed to be bombarding the guy with questions.

Everyone: "Yes, the ID Lenses and the other GUI items will lose effectiveness over time due to this anomaly," the President says. "The players and NPCs do not respawn because of this, yes." He looks at Willow. "That presence was Zizal, the Raven God," he replies. "We don't understand why he reacted when you attempted to log out. However, the log out is unusable because the Exit Protocol is gone." He looks around at everyone who asked about survival vs. helping. "Both," he says. "We need as many players to remain alive as possible, but we cannot risk any more lives. Seeing as you were the last people to enter, I would like to ask you all to help us by attempting to find out what happened and try to fix it. As for knowing more than you should, your characters give you memories and knowledge from time to time. However, these pieces of information will grow increasingly more frequent as time progresses. Once you have been in the game for about a month, you will fail to remember reality and instead will believe yourself to be the person of this world, the character you made." He looks at Branwen. "You have no control," he replies. "You can only do what your character is capable of. Also, you will notice that you are all evenly matched. No one, not even Nyx or Willow, is stronger than anyone else at the current point in time. This may or may not change as you learn new skills in the future. Also, this infighting that I've noticed...stop it! It gets you nowhere! I am speaking mostly to you, Nyx, as you are the instigator of the majority of the fights! You cannot fight like this; you must work together in order to survive this ordeal! Any questions?!" He is clearly agitated and is unlikely react well to retaliation of any kind.

"Fine Mr. Stick-up-his-a**. I'll try to stop fighting. You should also tell Leina to quit being a lone wolf, Willow to stop attacking people who are trying to help her, and Mazurn to stop being such an arrogant moron." I roll my eyes. "Now, is there any way to resist the process of losing memories from our real lives? I still haven't found the person that murdered my real parents in cold blood right in front of me when I was a child. And I'm more concerned about finding that person than finding the one who killed my in-game parents. And I don't plan on giving up on getting revenge or giving up my boyfriend. I refuse to lose myself."

"I look foward to a cease fire. With as much strength thats we've lobbed at each other, we could flatten our foes with ease were we to turn it on them instead." I say, supporting the President's comment without being partial towards someone. "Also, could you hack the game in our favor to send us care packages and buffs to our abilities every so often? If not, could you direct us to people or places to increase our power or learn skills?" I ask. Going into the fray unprepared was always a bad idea. I prayed for the good of us all that certain tempers and grudges could be buried, lest we'll never survive...

I listen intently on the further explanations by the president and then shrug somewhat when he's done. I had nothing much to say. Plus I didn't want to bring too much attention to myself in case Layla really didn't want me here. I could sleep outside, but having an indoor option was nicer...

Willow simply nodded, beginning to bore of the whole situation, she walked over and sat on the stairs, admiring her scythe.
