Standing up to eat isn't fun...Atari laughed, shaking his head as he moved to the bench with Esca, waiting for her to sit first before he made himself comfortable.

"I agree! Well...I suppose it depends on the food really." She blinked as she sat down, smoothing out her skirt.

Well, actually, I've eatten a lot standing up. But...It's more of a walking around, and not with cheesy dippies and freezy drinks. Atari laughed, shaking his head as he scooted over slightly to set his box and drink down a moment.

"I suppose eating something like pretzels and cheesy dip could get hard if you were walking." She smiled. "And a freezy drink would make your hands really cold, wouldn't it?"

It'd be hard to hold it all and eat at the same time, too! Atari purred, his tail curling over his lap as he sat on the bench with Esca. He pulled his box onto his lap and examined the pretzel a moment before pulling it apart, wincing just slightly at the temperature of the bread as he squarshed it between his fingers. I've never had this kind of pretzel before...he squeaked after a moment, letting the snack fall from his hand back into the box.

"Mm hmm," Escarelia smiled with a small nod, already having started on hers. "No?" She said, dipping some of it into the cheesy dip before taking a bite off it, chewing and swallowing to keep it from burning her mouth. "They're good."

Atari watched Esca take a couple more bites before picking his pretzel up to break little pieces off like she did, nibbling it shyly a moment before his eyes widened and his ears perked some. Wow...these are really good! he purred, shifting to pull his legs up onto the bench to sit crosslegged, the box tucked in his lap as he hunched over just slightly, rather like a large predator over it's kill.

Concur? Atari asked, tilting his head some to Esca as he finished the bite of pretzel he'd popped in his mouth. What's that mean? Under the purple tint of his skin he blushed, feeling silly for not knowing a word's meaning.

Escarelia chewed and swallowed her bite before smiling, looking over at him. "Just a fancy word for 'agree.'"

Oooh...I think I heard that before, my papa from my momma's side says it lots, but I never really knew what it meant...he admitted, blushing a bit deeper, causing his cheeks to turn a shade darker as he popped more pretzel in his mouth.

She noticed his cheeks but chose not to sa anything, instead continue her smile. "Well, now you know, right?" She tilted her head slightly, then looked down at her own pretzel. "Learning new words can be fun."

One of my brothers, who lives in the Underground already, he knows lots of words. Lots and lots of words! he offered, feeling shy and thus not looking to Esca while he spoke for the moment, picking at his pretzel still.

She smiled, pulling another piece off her own pretzel. "That's a good thing. A large vocabulary can make things easier when you're trying to tell someone something..." She paused, thinking. "Unless of course, you don't use the words..."

Shinji's not really good with his words when speaking them, but he's a really good writer! he offered Esca, looking to her again. He writes lots of poetry...
