Ava nodded to the professors instruction. The water was still boiling, and the be sure it stayed that way, she lit the bottom of the cauldron and then began to time herself as she stirred the potion counderclockwise, adding one clockwise spell in every seven stirs. She did it for the full five minutes.
As the time ran out, she took her spoon out, and added the lacewing flies. The potion did some sort of... simmering thing, and she stopped what she was doing. She looked into the potion, and looked around. This became a problem. It didn't look like anyone else had reached this point, and she was nervous because she didn't even know what acid green looked like, let alone what shade of gray it was. Maybe she could easily ask the professor to check. Ava walked over to the professor, and very obliviously asked "Professor, I'm not exactly sure if my potion is acid green. Would you mind checking it for me?" She hoped it didn't sound to obvious. Most kids, even the first years, probably knew what acid green looked like.
[ Hah! You should totally just tell her to compare it to something in the room... like her robe or something. Then she'll have to tell you about her color blindness! ]

Ayamae raised an eyebrow in the girl's direction. "I know you probably didn't attend muggle pre-school, but...you know....green's that color you get when you mix blue and yellow...one of the primary colors of Slytherin House? The one you happen to be in?" She didn't appreciate the girl yanking her chain like this, really. No one else needed this much hand-holding.

After stirring, Meiko minced the lacewing flies and added them into the cauldron. She extinguishes the fire beneath by using aguamenti to let the solution cool down.

As the solution cooled down looking acid green with shimmering fumes, Meiko added a teaspoon of dragon blood to the potion. She waits patiently for the potion to finish by waiting if the color will turn blue-green.
She sighed with a smile as she saw the solution turned blue-green. "Thank goodness... professor Akahana, I'm done with mine." she called out as she raised her hand toward the professor's direction.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra noticed the ingrediants and the instructions for the potion pop up on the board and smiled. Finally an assignment to do! After reading it a few times over she deduced that it was a relatively simple for the class as a whole. Perhaps they would be preparing a more difficult one in the furture. Pushing thoughts of future potions from her head she demanded her mind focus on the one at hand. She took out her potions kit and set out all the things that she would need minus the water, that would be wand provided. With the cauldron set up just right, she began her potion making process. Aludra read Step 1 on the board and cringed. Bringing water to a boil was possibly the most annoying thing to do in potion making. Aludra sighed and pointed her wand at her cauldron. After a non-verbal spell casting, exactly 3 cups of water was dropped into her pot. After adding the water, she pointed her wand just below the cauldron and said "Incendio." A few flames shot from the tip of her wand and lite a nice looking fire, perfection in her eyes. "Now to wait..." she mumbled in a grumpy mood. ...7th Year Slytherin

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Ghaleon set the water to boil as he set the rest of the ingredients up in a perfect row on his work station. It didn't take all that long and he was soon adding the Horn and Venom into the mix, believing he added them at the same time as far as he could tell at least.
Then began the stirring and Ghaleon often wished he did more sports, as he found his arms weren't up to the task alone, having to quickly change arms every minute or so.
Tossing in the flies, as fast as he could.. the idea of touching the things made him winch a little. Taking note of the green fumes.. well the professor had said acid green, though he wasn't completely sure what shade of green acid green was. Still it was green so.. he certainly hoped it was correct.
Now finding himself waiting as the potion cooled down, before continuing on.

Aludra Yvette... After waiting for what seemed like ages, the water began to boil nicely. "About damn time." she said in a rather heated tone. Waiting was not her strong point. Aludra glanced up at the board once more and read step number 2. She nodded and measure out just the right amounts of the powdered unicorn horn and the acromantula venom. Very carefully, she added then into her boiling cauldron at the same time. Once they hit the water Aludra had her wand back into her wand hand and began to stir her potion, counterclockwise with a clockwise stir every 7 stirs. She did this for the allotted five minutes and grabbed up the pre-minced lacewing flies. The very second that her five minutes of stirring was up she stopped and threw in the flies. After a minute or two the potion turned a lovely acid green color and the fumes that were emitted shimmered like glitter. She took her cauldron off the fire and let the potion cool off. After it was cooled, Aludra added in the teaspoon of dragon blood and the potion once more changed colors into a blueish-green color. Now all she had to do was wait for it to be tested. “I’m done Professor.” ...7th Year Slytherin

After the potion had cooled down Ghaleon added the Dragon blood and watched it start to turn a little blue but still keeping it's green like tint. He wasn't entirely certain if the color was perfect.. still he figured he'd at least done alright, raising his hand. "I think my potion is complete Professor." he said.

Ayamae summoned a box of mice from her office and set them down on her desk.
"Everyone that's done may come up, get a mouse, and test their potion."

Meiko headed to the professor's table to get a mouse. She heads back to her place as she held a tiny mouse in her hands. She sighed as let the mouse stand in on her table. "I'm so sorry, mouse."
She gets some of the potion into her medicine dropper and drops it onto the table, making a short line.
"Yes~" she said to herself with a grin, seeing that the mouse had not crossed the line made my the dropper with the potion in it.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra skipped up to the front of the room and picked out a small looking white mouse, one similar to the feeders you would feed a snake. She held it lovingly in her hands as she walked back to her desk where the potion was. "Hello, my pretty little mouse. Your going to help me get a good grade." she whispered. She took her medicine dropped and filled it with some of her potion. Aludra then drew a small circle on the table and set the mouse dead center of it. The mouse sat in the center for a moment, not moving. Then he started to run around the edges of the circle, not daring to move outside of it. "Perfect." Aludra smiled to herself. "Professor, my potion is good!" ...7th Year Slytherin

Meiko grinned, as she heard the professor's voice. Meiko happily replied, looking at the professor as she patted the mouse's head."Yes, thank you, professor Akahana~!"
She quickly turned to the mouse, speaking to it softly as she levitated it back to the box on the teacher's table. "And thank you, mouse~"
