"Best to sit on a blanket or something to keep it from getting everywhere," Roydon added. "It really does get everywhere otherwise."

"I'm going to go ahead!" Amalirahc grinned. He looked down at Miyuki and winked at her. "Race you!"

Amalirahc grinned. "Go!" he shouted, and he gave Miyuki a few seconds' head start before he started running after her. Of course, it wasn't long before he passed her: he was a lot taller than she was. He ran up to the front door of his grandparents' house and threw the door open and tumbled inside, falling head over heels into the living room. "Gwaaa!"

Amalirahc grinned at Miyuki. "Of course I am. It's not like I fell very far. Or hard."

"Just getting used to being taller," Leyenda laughed, standing in the doorway to the kitchen. "He's just gone through a growth spurt. At any rate."

"Miyuki gets to tell you!" Amalirahc blurted. He jumped to his feet and turned to Miyuki. "Tell her! Tell her!"

Leyenda giggled. "Good. Because we've already started preparing to leave. Mother and I are preparing the food for the voyage, we sent Kaito, Earendil and your mother up to the city for supplies, they probably won't be back for a while."

"Want to go upstairs?" Amalirahc grinned at Miyuki. "Nana's got lots of ships up there that she made when she was even younger than I am!"

Amalirahc grinned and took Miyuki's hand. "Come on, I'll show you," he told her, leading her towards the stairs. "But we have to be careful with them, because they might break. They're kind of old."

"Watch who you're calling old," Leyenda called after them as they headed up the stairs.

Amalirahc just laughed.

Amalirahc giggled. "Nope. They're itty bitty ones! If they were big they wouldn't fit upstairs. They wouldn't even fit in the house! Well you'll see tomorrow, because we're going on some ships tomorrow. But they're not even the big ones!"

He grinned at her. "Most ships are really big, like they can fit a whole house in them! And the one that we're going in the day after tomorrow, that one's really really big, it can fit a whole bunch of houses in them!"

"Because that's how big my neko built it," Amalirahc grinned proudly as they reached the top of the stairs. He started down the hallway. "Come on, this way."

Three doors down, he led her into the large gallery room, where there were well over a dozen model ships on display of various types and sizes.
