Tyler secured all their gear and weapons, and did a few quick calculations in his head, after surveying the supplies onboard. He ran the numbers again and again, and decided that there was enough to last the trip into the North. He settled himself in the captain's chair in the engine room, and depressed the button on his radio. "Attention everyone! Get comfortable, 'cause we're on the way out. We ain't stopping 'till we get to the Promised Land! The radio conversations we've all caught at one point or another before the plagues spread seem to allude to a city in Canada, which has been sealed off from the undead. That's where we're going!"

Ellie smiled when she heard this. Heading strait to Canada sounded like a fabulous idea. But... There was the issue of Bellatrix's lover, Bryce. Was he still in town? Or did he already leave? One quick study of Bell's face proved that she wasn't worried or in shock that they were leaving. Which meant he wasn't here. Good. One less thing to worry about. Going over to an extra radio, she voiced her second worry. "Hey, love. How long do you estimate it will take to make it to the Promised Land, over?" She asks this because she could almost feel something stirring within her and this was the first time she was able to feel it without the pumping adrenaline in her body.

John got up from his seat and walked out of his office into a white corridor. He took a few turns and entered a door. Inside there were several other men and women. "Well people we have a large group of survivors heading our way. I think that their farce has gone on long enough. Our plans shall not be undone by a group of misfits. Prepare for my brother's arrival...and those survivors. Dismissed." John turned and walked out as the men and women talked amoungst themselves.

Ellie nodded before heading over to the engine room. Once inside, she closed the door and stood next to him. "What's up, Ty?" she spoke into his ear to help him hear her, placing a kiss on the shell of his ear while she was there. She was feeling exceptionally affectionate after her latest discovery, which would most likely have Tyler jump for joy (at least she hoped so).

((No worries, Strider. I'm working on a sequel to Black Tracks. Of course, everyone who's been playing this one is invited to join! I just wanted to change the premise up a little, and freshen it up.)) Tyler placed an arm around Ellie's shoulders, and another behind her knees, and picked her up. He settled down in his tall chair, with her sitting across his lap. "Okay...here's my question. Can...can a vampire become pregnant by a human? It's been a good while since our first time together...and I've been thinking about it lately." He would love to have a child. A birth would be a bright symbol of hope in the dark place that the world had become. But he was worried that it might be too soon. He was afraid that he wouldn't be strong enough to stand, if he were to lose another child to the ghouls. Whatever Ellie's answer was...he decided he would be happy with it. If it turned out that he could not give her a child...then Tyler would ask her to turn him when the train came to rest in the North.

When Tyler picked her up, she couldn't help but let out a small 'eep' before giggling. Sitting down in his lap, she snuggled against his neck and shoulder. "It's possible for that to happen. But most people don't see a reason to even screw a vampire in the first place." Chuckling bitterly at her own reply, her smile returned. "It can happen, though. In fact, I think we might have a child on the way. I say might because I'm not certain quite yet. So don't give your hopes up if it doesn't take."

"Hey, that's great!" He stood up suddenly and lifted Ellie high into the air, spun around with her once, and sat down again before kissing her passionately. "Even though it would be tough to raise a child like this...I can't help but hope that you really are pregnant. It'd make this whole nightmare seem a helluva lot less scary." He tightened his embrace. "How's your friend, by the way? I hope she doesn't mind being around so many humans."

Ellie made a noise of surprise as he suddenly stands and spins her before kissing him back. When he broke apart to speak to her, she couldn't help but smile a little. "I hope so, too. I'd really like my first baby to be yours." Giggling a little, she let his embrace tighten. She wanted to hug him back, but she couldn't quite trust her strength. "She seems alright. She seems to be a lot better than when we first found her."

"Good to know." He laughed out loud. "We are one strange-looking family. A super-zombie, a couple of vampires, and a whole group of misfit humans. I think the fate of the world's in good hands."
((Okay, timeskip.....now! lol))
Tyler closed his eyes and enjoyed the sound of the brakes squealing as the train stopped, just below the Canadian/American border, in the city of Montpelier, New York. The effects of the plague had been even more drastic in the northern states than back home, where the group began their journey. They had not found a single new survivor. The group only encountered more and more monstrous ghouls, in the week they took to get to the border. Tyler shouldered a repaired SAW, and sighted along the lonely rails of the new station. There was no one, alive or otherwise, to be seen. He whistled through his teeth, giving the signal that the coast was clear. For the moment.

Ellie was currently reloading her gun with a new clip when she heard the screeching of the brakes. Even though they might not be needing this train anymore, those brakes were in desperate need of oiling. It didn't matter, slipping her gun into a new shoulder holster that one of the others lent her, she strapped her katana and dagger to her belt. She had changed her outfit to the one she found in the pawn shop, and for a reason. It was a definite now; she was absolutely, one hundred percent pregnant. But it was still early; she wasn't showing signs yet. But she was expecting to be showing the first signs with a month or two. Hearing the whistle, she grabbed her naginata and motioned for the others in the car to follow her lead.
