"Actually, this was depicted by a painter during the last war.... Before the city sank and they left." He said the last part with a bit of regret in his voice. He moved closer to the mural, he placed his hand on it. "Now I'm the last one." He said sadly.

That last bit caught Karasi be surprise. The people in this mural, they were a winged folk, like herself. But... Khuni had no sign of wings. She was reminded of what he had said teh first time they met, just a few days ago, though it seemed longer. He had said he knew what it was like with wings, but had never really explained how he knew. "Khuni...." she paused, not sure now if she should go on with her question, she did not wish to be rude.

He chuckled. "How did I lose my wings?" He said, turning around to look at her. "I was captured by the Ehsar after I watched the city sink. I was forced to work the mines so they could make their weapons and armour. I led a revolt within the mines, but because of insufficient weapons and such. The revolt failed, and as a reward. They cut off my wings in hopes of breaking my spirit." He said.

Karasi's eyes grew a little wider at that, and her wings flexed just slightly. She could not imagine life without her wings, nor the pain he must have gone through to lose them. "What did you do?" She asked quietly. She supposed it would depend on the circumstances, but if that happened to her, Karasi thought that her spirit would indeed be broken. To add to that, he had seen his whole nation parish, to be the last of his people... Karasi mentally shook those thoughts from ehr head. It was no buisness of hers anyway.

"Well, I did what my people do when what we love is destroyed. I got pissed off and killed the ones who cut off my wings, and I made sure it was painful." He said. "After that, I basically hung up my warrior's coat and I started to wonder around." He said with a shrug.

While the queen was resting Shin had went to the mage training ground. He hadn't worked out his magic in a while. Shin recalled the last few days and noticed he had been spending a lot of time with the queen. He needed to get out. Shin loved the queen's presence, but he felt he had been stasionary too long.

Shin paraticed his wind and fire magic together for sometime. Trying to put them together at the right moments and firering at the right time. Afterwards, Shin felt that he got better at both. He yawned and looked around. The sun was setting into a golden horizen, with purple lining the edge of it. He sighed and climbed onto the roof of the castle to watch the sunset. Tomorrow, he would go see his old friends in Esther.

Suddenly, Shin felt extremely tired. He closed his eyes. Shin hadn't slept for two days. The ex-spy had a lot on his mind. Namely marriage, Takara, Ratic...RATIC! Shin had almost forgotten about his trail!

Those he was tired, Shin ran to the spot Ratic had came to him. Ratic's body was gone, but the trail was still there. Shin's tried eyes followed the trail, trying to see what was up ahead. He turned down the trail of blood and ran down it. It was odd how long it was. Sin was passed all the houses and already far away from the castle and city grounds. As Shin looked forward all Shin could see was a forest.

Unexpectedly, Shin felt into a hole. It was covered over with grass, so no one could have saw it. He fell for what felt like an eternity, until he just finally hit ground. By that time, Shin was already knocked out from hiting a rock with his head.

((Doom has turned into Kenshin.))

Takara took in a breath before she stood up again slowly, wavering slightly before she walked over to Tamuril. She sat down beside him, Eveel clinging to dress when she had walked. Takara brought her hand up, placing it on Tamuril's shoulder. She felt light-headed, but that was to be expected. She ignored it, just focusing on her breathing and the one she was sitting beside. She didn't want to say anything that would make him anymore upset, and she wasn't even sure what she could say that would make him feel better. Even though she was a woman, she wasn't the kind that had the touch of comfort. She'd pushed that part of her away, and now she was trying to get it back without much success.

"Calm down." Takara told Tamuril softly as she gave his shoulder a small squeeze. "I can help with the jewels. They were able to cut off the pendant's power over you before. Besides, you are a knight of the royal gaurd. You are strong, mentally and physically. You know what the pendant can do. Resist."

((Myth is right, she is.))

Tamurl raised up his head, glancing into Takara's eyes. Her words did little to him. The jewels would do little in the future too. The pendant was a part of him now. She was right though, he should calm down. There was little he could do about it now. Although he knew it'd be useless to resist the next time it happened, he could at least find out what causes it to come, and how to stop it.

He began to give her words much thought though. He was a royal guard. He had worked hard for many years to earn a position like that, and now he had it. Maybe next time he could fight it, at least now he knew what would happen when that time came.

Tamuril stood up, beginning to get the proud figure that once surrounded him. He looked down onto his queen with a small, proud grin. Perhaps it was a little over confident too, but he didn't care. "The next time, I won't need your jewels powers!" He picked his sword up, and thrusted it high up into the air. He had cleaned it before he entered the garden, so it was now shining brilliantly. "Ha! To even think that a mere pendant could overcome the great Tamuril!" Tamuril walked by Takara, placing his sword back into it's sheath. "Excuse me, I must make ammends." He said, turning his back to her. His head peeked over his shoulder. "Thanks..." He said before he walked out.

Takara watched Tamuril with a small smile, waving to him as he looked his shoulder just before he'd left. Eveel whistled after Tamuril, jumping up once from his spot on the queen's lap. Then Tamuril was gone, but even though he was no longer there, his large ego still seemed to be. She shook her head, the smile still remaining her face as she lowered her hand. Eveel hopped off of her lap, running through the grass and leaping into some flowers. Then the came back, carrying a violet flower in his jaw. He went to her lap again, dropping the flower and cuddling against her legs.

Takara smiled for a few more seconds before it disappeared, lifting her head up to see the sky. It was painted red and orange, showing that nightfall would arrive in about two hours or so. She didn't want to leave the garden - not quite yet. But she had duties to do. Then again, she'd already sent her orders out, and things seemed to have settled down to what would be expected. Takara brought her arms down to push herself up, only to find that she was too tired too. She let out a sigh, her arms trembling as she set herself back down. It seemed as if she would be stuck here for the time being.

And an hour passed, and half of the sky was dipped in a light blue. A few stars glimmered down at the one who was still sitting at the fountain.

"Hum-di-di-dum...." Eveel sang, wagging his tail as he played with a flower on Takara's lap. There was quite a bit around her now, since the dragon had continued to gather them up. Takara had her head lowered with her eyes closed, her back curled and her shoulders down. She was still awake, but she felt like she was going to fall asleep. Not that she would mind falling asleep in the garden, but she didn't really want to go unconcious right next to the fountain. Eveel continued to sing, occasionally worrying over Takara again and franticly running around her at some points. As it grew closer to night, Takara only wondered how well Tamuril was doing.

Tamuril shakilly walked into the training grounds, trying to think of what to tell the others. Once he did walk in, the others seemed to become more worried, and afraid. Some even tried to walk out, before Tamuril could even say anything. "W-wait. I have come here to re-deem myself. I know I can never fully redeem myself for the atrocities I may have commited, but I ask of you to at least forgive me!" Tamuril then began to explain everything that he knew of, trying to explain why he had acted the way he did so. One of the knights walked up to Tamuril, he seemed to be releaved. "Of course we forgive you, Sir Tamuril. I think we all knew that that was not truly you!" The others seemed to also think the same, as soon after the knights speech. About another ten minutes, everything appeared to be back to normal. Even know this was so, Tamuril knew that that day would never be forgotten.

About an hour passed while Tamuril was training, until finally a guard had charged up to him. He explained to him of a civil unrest in the slums of a Tavern, and that Tamuril's immediate actions were requested. "How many?" Tamuril looked down at the ground, this person sounded alot like what Tamuril had been, but probably less sychotic. "I shall investigate this problem immediately, go and warn the queen of these actions."

Tamuril grabbed his sword, and charged out of the training grounds with full speed. The thing that Trusar definately did not need was some person killing the towns people. As Tamuril left for the tavern, the messanger he had sent for the queen was already at her garden. "My highness, there is something that Tamuril requested be brought to your attention((You take over messanger now, Myth.))!"

Tamuril quickly got to the tavern. He slowly approached the seemingly demented charachter in the middle of the street. This...thing was a priest! It must have done something in the past to have caused this to happen. Attack first, ask question later, seemed to be his motto. "hey, what is going on here?! Explain yourself!" Some of the other towns people around the scene noticed Tamuril, and even some cried out 'We're saved! It's Sir Tamuril!'.

When she heard a voice Takara's back and neck went strait again, her eyes reopening. She looked over at the messanger, her vision blurred up for a second since she'd moved so fast. And her lack of blood didn't really help to that effect. "What is it?" Takara asked, her voice just as flat and emotionless as it normally was. The messanger explained what had and was happening, and at the end telling her that Tamuril had left to take care of it. Eveel tilted his head, though during the middle of the messanger's speech he resumed biting on a flower.

"I see." Takara stated, sounding as if she didn't care, though that was the complete opposite. "Send more knights to calm things down." She already had a war on her hands, not to mention her own personal issues, so she didn't need some maniac killing her people. Not that if the war wasn't happening it would make any difference on how she currently felt. "Be sure that Sir Tamuril does not get seriously wounded. It would be a rather ill wished casualty. Go now."

"Yes Queen Takara." The messanger gave another bow despite he was already in one, then turned around and went out the door. He shut it behind him, and the moment he was gone Takara's relaxed her back and let out a sigh.

"Most likely someone from Ehsar." Takara remarked quietly, talking more to herself than to the dragon who was still chewing on a flower stem. "...Another problem added to my list.... Hopefully this can be ended without anymore serious deaths...."

Sentinel, being dismissed, flew over the city. He came upon the Slums, a rather unfortunate place. He always hated seeing all the people begging on the streets. He then saw Sir Tamuril rushing through. Sentinel saw where he was heading, towards the Tavern. A person was in the middle of the street, bodies strewn everywhere.

"A..a priest?!?!?" he thought, looking at the figure. His clothing was tattered and blood-soaked. He flew down and started to tend to some of the slightly injured. "What happened?" he asked the man he was healing, who was in critical danger.

"Well, I did what my people do when what we love is destroyed. I got pissed off and killed the ones who cut off my wings, and I made sure it was painful." He said. "After that, I basically hung up my warrior's coat and I started to wonder around." He said with a shrug.
Karasi gasped lightly at this. Turning back to the painting, she was surprised to see that it had changed, at least to her eyes. Instead of the people flying about a coral tower, they were now screaming and had expressions of terroro on their faces. The sea seemed to be rising, engulfing them. As she stared at the mural, she felt a tuging feeling, as if somethingwas calling her very esscence forth from her body.

She was standing very still now, and a distant expression was on her face. If one were to look at her eyes, they would seem empty and souless. As for herself, Karasi could see a world tumbling around her. She could feel sea spray on her face, soaking her wings. Around her, the sea roared and tumbluled. The building around her was crumbling, caving in behind her. Before long she had the sensation of drowning, she could not swim, she was being dragged down into the sea. Looking down, she could see that her foot was caught between two large rocks.

Her lungs felt about ready to burst when she was suddenly no longer in the sea, but a dark room. She was not in this, she was mearly an observer. Around her many men were chained together. They were under clothed and under noureshed. Amoung them was one who looked stronger than the rest. He had a large pair of wings that were tied together. Khuni, this she knew. He had a fire in his eyes that she had not seen before.

Again, the scene changed. She was now near the mouth of the tunnel, a mine. To her left were the miners, running towards the guards with their picks and shovels raised. Looking to the guards force, she knew there was no way they could hope to succeed. She could also tell they did not care. They would be free one way or the other. Karasi tried to close her eyes so she would not have to see the slaughter, but found taht she could not. Most of the men were killed, Khuni and a few others were dragged off after the fight.

Karasi dreaded what she knew what must come next. She was in another stone room, though this one was different from the other. In this one, there were tables andinstruments of tourture. She then found herself chained, unable to move. She could hear some one apporaching, and then felt a peircing heat near the base of her wings. Letting out a cry of pain, she finnaly was able to close her eyes.

In the library, Karasi cryed out after but a few moments, and had fallen forward, her shoulder hitting the wall as she passed out.
