Zosee &&
ZeroZero left Algenders castle and split up from Solaris and his guild when they reached the city. He headed straight for the Hospital.
Skidding to a stop in the reception hall, the Glaceon grabbed the nearest nurse and explained what had happened as fast as he could. Then he ran ran straight through the Hospital, up several series of stairs, and finally skidded to a stop in front of one of the many quarantine rooms. The one that Zosee was held in.
The Glaceon waited and fidgeted impatiently as he waited for word to get out in the Hospital and the quarantine rooms would be opened. Unfortunately for him, it took a long while. The Hospital was cautious, and had went to confirm the news with the Guild before reaching the decision to open quarantine. An hour or two later (or to Zero, an infinity), a nurse finally came with the key to the room.
Zero pretty much barrelled through the door the moment it was unlocked, looking around for his Zosee.
The room was home to about a dozen different Pokemon. All of them looked dazed, confused, and when they spotted Zero and the nurse, began to demand question all at once. "Where am I?" "What happened to me?" "Why am I here?" Some of them were strapped down to their beds, obviously to restrain them when they had been rabid killing zombies.
Zero spotted a familiar electrike amongst the group, and bounded over. She was awake, sitting on the bed, and clawing at the collar at her throat. It was leashed and tied to one end of the bed. She had a bunch of bandages around her haunches, although Zero could imagine that the physical wound from the fight was well into its healing, if not healed already.
"-an't get the damned thing off, stupid..." She was murmuring, sparks dancing along her fur but all seemed to be drawn harmlessly into the collar. Looks like the Hospital was well prepared for restraining Pokemon with elemental abilities. Which was to say most.
The electrike looked up when she realized the door had been opened, and she broke out into a grin when she spotted Zero. She padded over to the side of the bed -as far as her leash would allow- as the Glaceon nearly crashed into it.
"Gods it's good to see you again Zose." Zero murmured as he stood up with his paws on the bed, nuzzling Zosee affectionately.
"Nice to see you too. Not being totally insane anymore is also a bonus."The Glaceon hopped onto Zosee's bed and laid down. The electrike laid down next to him, closing her eyes contently, her tail wagging slowly from side to side. If she was a cat she'd be purring.
"It must have...what happened?" Zero asked quietly. Zosee cocked her head, looking up at her partner, and then figured out what he meant. Ah, the virus, Zero was asking if she did anything while under the influence of it.
"It was fine at the beginning, we were exchanging letters at the beginning right?"Zoro nodded- one of the nurses helped him sneak letters in and out of the Quarantine room.
"Well, about the same time you had your meltdown, I started losing it. I was asking around when I came to an hour ago and apparently I trashed half the room until they restrained me." Zosee scratched at her collar irritably. Zero chuckled, just imagining the chaos, no doubt a mirror of the trouble he caused himself when he barged in the day Zosee was taken into quarantine.
"You didn't hurt anyone right?""Um...about that..."Zero sighed. He should have warned the nurses; Zosee was a lot more powerful than she looks. Something else that Zosee said hit him then-
"Hey, how did you know I had my, uh, little incident last week?""One of the nurses told me. You had a pretty serious fever. Normal Ice-types fevers don't go up to twenty-five degrees, possibly higher. What happened to you?"Zero shrugged and then shifted aside as the nurse came to take off Zosee's collar. When it came off, the Electrike immediately jumped to her feet, shaking her head to reset some of the fur that was displaced for a week from the unaccustomed collar.
"Long story. Let's go get you out of here and to some proper food, Arceus knows the food here is terrible. I passed a herd of Stantler on my way here, you good for some venison?"Zosee nuzzled Zero and hopped off the bed.
"That sounds great. I haven't hunted in ages."The Glaceon got off the bed more slowly as Zosee pretty much ran out the room and down the hall, faster than the nurses could say "you're not free to go yet!". She was pretty happy about bring free- being stuck in one room for half a month couldn't have been all that fun for a lively one like her.
"I love you Zose." He sighed to himself, following behind contently. He felt a part of him release pent-up tension, the part that had been worrying about Zosee for the last two weeks. The part that had made Zero act so rashly for so long disappeared. He could be himself again, laid-back, easygoing, without a care in the world...
As he left, he unclipped the I.D card from his collar and handed it in at the reception. He had said he would stay until Zosee was free, and well, he's got other things to do now.
"Feel free to ask my help any time." he told the Chansey there, and then strode outside where Zosee impatiently waited.
