"That you, the presiding 'lord' of this land, would be so unaware of the lands you govern is appalling young Luo? Is it so hard to fufil your duties as a young,, inexperinced Mizukage? Or must you completely rely and put your faith in your subordinates and allies because you are unable to trust yourself with the job,"

His words were careful and unleashed once the genin and Fordon had left the building. The only indication he gave to Fordon's existance was an imperceptible nod but he turned his attention to the tea LT had given to him. It was warm and the heat cycled through his body fast enough to bring color to his pale cheeks.

"My assistant? She is quite fine, I've allowed her a vacation to visit her family for the time being," said Tensai but even to the most skilled observer possessing doujutsu of the highest caliber would be unable to detect the lie without reading Tensai's mind. He had in fact been recovering from a severe heart failure during the past weeks and his assistant was traveling distant lands searching for remedies. "But on the same note It is nice to see youre relifer at your own assistants return. Fordon seems to have forgone his mask and bears those vile scars of his with...what is it? Pride? Accomplishment?"

Tensai held no aversion to anyone in the Mist Village, secretly he was found of a VERY select few but his goals were to make Kirigakure more than just a physical powerhouse. Mental strength was indeed important to the shinobi world but his teachings were so in depth that they opened new branches of power to his students. Under widespread tutelage Kirigakure would not only be a powerful nation but have masterful diplomats capable of forging allies and threading intricate plots to affect the world in more ways than other shinobi were capable of knowing.

As Tensai's first barrage of insults hit him, Luo seemed to let it go with a small sigh and a remark. "I'm sure from the hospital you as our heavenly sannin were quite capable of being aware of our country as well? Or perhaps would it be too much for your ailing heart to aid your fair village even if we were in present danger?" Luo could see this particular match taking a turn for the worse, and he wasn't liking it either. It was clear to Luo that his assistant was most likely looking for a cure to whatever has been ailing him since whatever methods he had before were clearly not working. Otherwise, she'd be right beside him with that bottle of his feeding them to him as if they were candy.

Luo had seen the man's medical records since the last time they spoke, and from what he could tell from the simple chart the old man was not in good health. And as he spoke about Fordon, Luo's temper slowly dipped over the edge. It was rare for it to happen, but when it did his anger was a controlled disaster meant for whoever brought it forth. And he was glad the genin were not in there to see or hear what he had to say either, for fear that the bloody mist nickname would be re-established. Tensai in insulting Fordon, had crossed a line he knew very well he shouldn't have.

"My apologies Tensai, but you must have Fordon confused with my actual assistant, Mrs. Kanai. Is your memory in poor health as well Tensai? No, Fordon is the only hunter-nin in the village. In short, it is his job to hunt those who desert Kirigakure and dispose of their bodies so I would suggest a little gratitude on your part. Only the gods know the last time you were on a mission worth anymore than your own personal gain and more than a mile from a hospital." As Luo spoke, he seemed to stand at last from his elaborate royal blue silk seating pillow with gold embroidery. His mutter then seemed to elevate to what could only be described as a normal speaking voice for anyone else. For most anyone it would seem as if he had at last been cured from his muttering ailment, however to those who knew him and knew him well would note that for Luo it was a drastic change in voice level, and would be considered by them to be on the verge of yelling.

"Tensai before you pick petty squabbles in order to place yourself over others, re-evaluate your opponent. Do not take my age for a weakness, and do not dare take my trust in my men for incompetence. I know more about what happens in this country than you could ever dream to know from that dull hospital room you spend your time in. You may be the wiser when it comes to many things, but remember your place in this hierarchy and remember it well. You knew my father, and you know my clan. As such, open your aging eyes and come to terms with who you are talking to. You will earn my respect just like everybody else, I will not hand it over to the sage of heavenly riches. When you enter my office, you humble yourself accordingly; lest your pride be the death of you, not your failing heart."

As Luo sat down finally, his regular tone had resumed. Staring into Tensai's eyes he muttered, "Now, what is it you came to see me about?"

Kanzuki sighed and looked at the mission board," Well....guess I'll go pick up garbage then..." he muttered to himself as he walked off with trashbag in hand, ready for one of the most boring missions a shinobi could ever be sent on.

At Luo's word Tensaijin's cool smirk melted away into a completely dead face in such a sudden jerky transition almost any person would assume that the sage had suddenly transformed. Luo would be allowed to unleash his assault on Tensai, no doubt exspecting the sage to be humbled by the show of vehemence unleashed onto his 'frail' countenance. Instead, like the falling dust of a particularly powerful attack, the Tensai mental fortress would be unharmed but unlike their previous bouts Luo would notice more about the sage and the true depths of his knowledge.

Had there been a breeze running through the room it would dry out and die within mere seconds as Luo and Tensai stared into the others eye. Deep within those regal hues a powerful force pulsated and surged as Tensai narrowed his indigo eyes into focused points. The Sage of Heavenly Riches opened his mouth and his voice was so controlled and level that the world seemed to bend inwards in order to hear his words.

"Luo"

The single word was heavy bearing an extreme weight that resonated throughout the room. "You may believe you hold rank and knowledge over me, but don't ever make the mistake of trying to enforce your will upon me. The daimyo, the true ruler of this land, is my lord not you nor any shinobi in these lands. Your respect is virtually worthless to me as a sannin and your threats carry no weight on shoulders that have borne burdens before you have existed. My health is of no concern to you a child in the world of adults. My intentions, loyalties, and obligations belong to only two people and have only belonged to those two people. The presiding daimyo and myself"

With those words each calmly spoken, venomous undercurrents laced each syllable and acidic tones reverberated around the room. At a whim, especially with the eye contact forged by Luo, Tensai could tear the Mizukage's mind to pieces or invoke physical manifestations of his greatest fears to tear him apart. The sannin rising to his sandaled feet and reaching into the folds of his cloak produced a simple letter and flicked it onto Luo's lap with a contempsuous movement, defiantly raising his chin.

"It's a minor report only nessecary for documentation. A potential traitor attempted reconassaince on our hospital, I eliminated the threat but I kept the offender in custody,"

It was an extremely minor thing what had occured but Tensai was always sure to have everything documented. "In addition I require a mission of at least B rank to pass time with,"

As Luo stared into Tensai's eyes, it could only be said that it was only his own restraint over his power which caused him to allow the man's insulting tone to pass without simply killing him without using the long outdated methods by his and his clans standards of implementing malicious intent that Tensai himself was still bound to use. And although Tensai held some sort of power to which Luo would readily defend as nothing short of sheer power, he wondered if the man knew the extent to which Luo was capable of dispatching a life.

His voice as calm and muffled as usual, Luo caught the paper and put it aside without bothering to look at it for now. The man had surely over stepped his bounds now, and it was to a point which Luo found utterly ironic. "So your purpose for becoming a shinobi of the mist held no regard for its people or even the slightest of respect for my former sensei in his time as Mizukage, what an ironic life you live. Do me a favor Tensai and remember in whose hands your title is held. It is your will which holds no grounds not only in my office, but in this village. The Daimyo puts up with you because of fear, not loyalty or obligation. You place a man who holds you in his company in order to stay in your good graces higher than you should; your lord is a coward. But that is just as well, it may be the only reason you keep him in your company at all. I'm sure having the Daimyo in your corner has worked wonders for you as far as the previous cabinet is concerned, but make no mistake Tensai neither you nor the Daimyo can sway the way I will do things without just reason. Your intelligence is so clouded by your selfishness, it could almost be considered a waste in itself. Then again, who am I to judge a man of such high honors" As Luo's last words seemed to echo within the room the depth of its malicious intent, a dull look overcame his face.

As Luo wrote on a small parchment paper and sent it with a courier hawk, he turned to open and close the window for the bird to leave. Looking at the bag he had set aside next to his desk, he tossed it to Tensai. As the cat within the bag seemed to protest the movement Luo smiled lightly, venom seeping out of every word he chose to speak. "There is your B-Rank mission. I have just sent word to the Daimyo that The Sage of Heavenly Riches himself would deliver his daughter's precious cat to his compound so he will be awaiting your arrival. When you are finished with that, we'll need to discuss Kirigakure's defenses as you suggested a few months ago. I also need to discuss the prospect of giving you a squad. I realize this isn't exactly 'in your best interests,' however if I am to have competent shinobi in my village capable of protecting the Daimyo and Kirigakure, then there's no other option." Although Luo had given the man a rather demeaning task in taking the cat back, Luo's intention (which he knew the man could see) was to let Tensai know that despite his rank and status, it was Luo he had to report to at the end of the day when it came to giving mission reports and receiving them. It was Luo's way of letting Tensai know that he was not one to roll over when it came to his words. Although there was clear mutual detestation between the two for some of the qualities they each possessed, Luo lost no respect for the man's strength and in some way knew Tensai felt the same way. It would take them quite some time to end the game they played which would get heated every once in a while, but the controlled nature in which they played it denoted that whether they liked to admit it or not, there was some sort of basis for respect among the two. As Luo's smile never faltered he muttered to Tensai, "Be careful with that cat. I would hate for such a well kept face to receive such unsightly lacerations."

Tensai unleashed a short burst of demeaning, cruel laughter at Luo, tossing his head backwards as his shoulders heaved at the Mizukages words. Luo's ignorance was not apalling to the sannin but instead understandable. Tensai was more than on 'good terms' with the daimyo, the two were actually good friends and in the past met often to discuss politics.

"You believe the Daimyo fears a land of shinobi? Child you know very little about anything outside the shinobi world! The Daimyo tolerates and uses the shinobi for protection and a method of executing his will for a relatively cheap price. His guards are composed of shinobi far more powerful than some of the Kage's combined! His alliances with foreign governments can call upon a swarm of warriors fierce enough to severly damage the ranks of the entire shinobi world. Make no mistake Luo the major daimyo fear nothing and are well prepared for any rebellion on our part. After the Tailed-Beasts incident we are all lucky that they did not wrest some control from the Kages!"

Tensai's cool smile split across his pale features once more and he flicked strands of hair from his handsome visage. The smile didn't waver once Luo's grasped the bag which held the cat and once the animal was tossed in his direction Tensai found it nessecary to at least dodge the improvised projectile but instead clasped the hilt of one katana in a reverse grip.

A shimmering crescent lit the room as the secret ninjatou was unsheathed and swiped through the air in a neat arc to cut into the bag and miraculously leave the cat unharmed. The small animal leapt from the opening in it's prison and charged over Tensai's head though not before the sannin had resheathed the weapon in record time. The cat bounded from the office and down the stairs, hissing at passerbye's as it fled. The sannin was not worried by the cat's exit for as a genin he had sought that same cat's mother and would find it easy to recapture the beast.

"Oops~!"

Defiance for the demeaning task but at the same time the mission was titled as B-rank, granting Tensai simple pay only to deliver an animal to the daimyo. At the words of being assigned a squad the sage of heavenly riches sighed and imagined a group of eager genin jumping at his heels. He DIDNT seem amused at the prospect but he soon turned his back to Luo while the Mizukage was finishing his final words. He didn't bother to address Luo's last words but instead added his own quip.

"By the way you should really talk louder, isn't that something even children outgrow?" There was no time to respond to the words, Tensai's body melted into a faint shadow before reappearing just outside the Mizukage's office in clear sight from the window. On his shoulders was the calmed cat glaring shiftily at any passerbye's who came closed. Abnormally the mist soon enclosed Tensai's body but would burst outward harmlessly, marking another high speed movement that transported him past the gates.

At this time a piece of papaer drifted from Luo's ceiling and would fall to the Mizukage's lap. In the clear and prescice cript of Tensai is read;

Luo:1
Tensai: Incalculable

Keep up the good work, already your doing better than most young lord~

As Tensai seemed to regale Luo on the fighting force the Daimyo had behind him, Luo seemed on a general scale disinterested. It never mattered how many men you had if the one who killed you was never seen. The Daimyo was still a coward, and hid behind his militia of underpaid shinobi, something which Luo had already sought to change. His personal guard were indeed some of the strongest, however it was forgotten on Tensai's part who held their profiles. Luo knew these men inside and out, and if given the opportunity would simply enjoy the chance to have a friendly spar with one of them. And although Tensai's words were meant to scare, Luo sat unyielding in his faith in his shinobi and even himself.

As the cat was literally let out of the bag, Luo watched rather unamused as it ran out of his office. Without a chance to give any sort of retort to the man, Luo simply sighed as he picked up a paper which fell into his lap. Opening the note and reading it, Luo couldn't help but chuckle aloud. The man certainly knew when to push his buttons, but it was good to see he gave credit where it was due. This of course was despite the 'incalculable' number Tensai gave to himself when it came to their matches. Folding the note neatly and placing it into one of his pockets, Luo opened the mission report Tensai had thrown towards him earlier with a slight smile still on his face. Although he didn't seem to think about it much after that, in some way or another the note put Luo's mind at ease. If The Sage of Heavenly Riches could come to admit at least one defeat, then surely he was doing something right.

During the war between his superiors, LT's face turned so red he slowly and quietly pulled his ANBU mask over his face. LT and the ANBU agent next to him slowly turned to look at each other. The ANBU shrugged and slowly melted away into the shadows, with either fear or embarrassment, possibly both. Its not like this is the first time this has ever happened in front of LT though, but he could never admit that it was easy to witness. But the Mizukage and the Sannin seem to kind of forget about the Jounin Commander/ANBU Captain when LT was present. But both of the superiors knew that for his safety he would never utter a word about this to anyone. For outsiders might think of this as a weak moment, and that Mist is having internal arguments, but in truth, these wars between the two powerhouses were mostly healthy debates. None the less, LT sat still while they 'talked'. Rigged and Silent, the most faithful servant his people could ask for.

As Luo finished the report given to him by his sannin, Luo seemed to glance over towards Tares and the commander who was in hiding. He could see the rosiness in Tares' face, and sighed a bit. It was so rare for Luo to lose his temper, he seemed to have completely lost track of who was even in the room. It seemed his temper and complete attention was fixated on Tensai for the longest time, that his friend and the subordinate with him went unnoticed for quite some time. Sighing as he opened a document, Luo noticed something on the tip of Tares' tongue. He couldn't exactly pin point the last time he blew up on someone like he had just done (or his equivalent of blowing up anyway), but he was almost positive Tares was in his presence. He just could never tell behind the man's mask if Tares was ever really affected when it happened. "Well, you have something on your mind I can tell. Spit it out already, it's been a while since we've had the chance to talk anyway."

LT let out a small laugh, "You know me so well. I havent seen you that fired up since Zane." LT removed his mask, and looked around to make sure that the Sannin was really gone. "I cant believe he commented on my coffee being unhealthy, but he just has to find something to pick on doesn't he." LT turned in his chair to start another pot of his delicious brew. "I wish we could talk about something different but unfortunately we must talk about work. We need to assign the students to squads and figure out what we are going to do with the genin too. Also, the Hokage sends his regards and might possibly may be visiting off in the future."

Nodding as he filled papers out, Luo rolled his eyes as he stared at the numerous words. "He's none too fond of being overlooked for my current position. I think just the sight of this office affects his mood really." Finishing the last of his paperwork and placing it in his finished pile, Luo at last looked up to Tares as he listened to the coffee percolate. "I see. Well, I've been looking over the files a bit lately, but I'm curious as to what you think." As he heard news of Matsuya, Luo smiled a bit. "Ah, so Mat-san is doing well then. Hopefully he has figured out where his missing genin has been. I told him the last time I saw him that adding an Oinin unit in Konoha would be a good idea, but maybe Konoha's council didn't exactly agree. Perhaps this little incident will change their minds."

"No I dont think the Hokage found his missing Genin yet, and i also hear that one of the kages was assassinated by a genin as well, though that is just a rumor im hearing from my ANBU, and you can never trust rumors. So what were you and the Sannin fighting about this time, it seemed more heated than usual. I can be sitting hear, listening to you two the entire time and still not know what it was about." LT finished brewing the grains and poured the black liquid into a mug and handed it to the Mizukage. He leaned over the desk to view some of the profiles laying on the desk. Afterwards LT returned to his seat asking, "So about the squads, Are you going to decide who gets what when, or are you going to decide after the genin exams? Do you know where my squad is at? OR am I even still in-charge of them any more? Sorry for some many questions, i just feel like something big is coming and we dont have enough time for it."

Drumming his fingers as Luo thought for a few moment, Luo looked back up to Tares. What he said next conveyed utmost seriousness in the way Luo conveyed the message. "At first it was a simple debate. However, Tensaijin crossed a line he knew very well existed the moment he insulted Fordon. I will not tolerate those who insult my men, even if it's one of my own who doe so. The man's pride didn't allow him to hold his tongue, and it was that which set me over the age. Sorry about that." As Luo reflected on the moment for a second or two, he answered the next question his right-hand man had. "They're being put together as we speak actually, that's why I've been looking over their profiles lately. You forgot already that you asked me to send Kai and Yama with Fordon? Well, that's where they are and they're patrolling the countryside with him. Put your mind at ease for now Tares, you're always so stressed. You should take a vacation soon, perhaps with your squad."
