Alex turned her attention back to Batman once he was finished and over by the bikes. She blinked a moment, then hopped up from the chair and started towards him.
Was he...yeah. He was hot-wiring one of them. "Loose the key?" she asked as she got closer. She was just kind of assuming that it wasn't his bike or something. This was obviously his hideout, considering all the little secret passageways he knew about, but that didn't mean he was the only one who used this place. Bike could have belonged to someone else. She'd had to "borrow" a few things from teammates every now and then herself.

"... Never had one to begin with," he said after a moment, his tone distracted. Luckily, hot-wiring a batcycle was a lot easier when you knew the kinds of anti-theft measures that were likely to be in place. The next moment, the bike roared to life, and he got on, slipping on the obligatory bat-themed helmet.

Alex grinned a bit, then slid herself onto the back of the bike. "Sapphire should still be in the large city next to the one we were just in. Not New York, but the other one." she said. She still had no idea what the other places were called here.

"Metropolis," he said immediately. The engine revved. "Hold on tight," he added, and then they shot off into one of the tunnels and out onto what looked like some kind of interstate highway.

ENTER from GOTHAM

From one of the many dark shadows of the underground base, Reaper emerged in his human form. He stood there for a moment, looking around.
He'd gotten his telepathy from his 'niece'...she'd read the younger Spider's mind...Batman was a comic book character in his world. So, though he'd never met the Bat before, he knew where the Bat lived.

Unfortunately, the place looked empty. Very empty. And there was no sign of life coming from the mansion above either.
Great. Still no sign of any heroes.

Since the original Reaper was close enough to the boy to unintentionally continue scrolling through his thoughts, the Reaper in the cave gathered more information on the...DC world...
Hmph. Who knew telepathy would be so difficult to learn how to control. He'd learned shadow teleportation and telekinisis rather quickly.

Glancing around one more time, he walked up to the largest computer in the underground complex. If he couldn't sence anyone, then that meant there wasn't anyone here, right? Which meant he could try to use the computer without much interfearance, right? This was supposed to be some super-computer, so he could use it to help him locate people, or contact remaining heroes.
....try being the main word here.

He stopped in front of the computer, staring down at the mass of buttons in front of him.
Hunh....alright. So, which one of these...turns it on?
PostPosted: Thu Aug 26, 2010 6:02 pm

Hours had passed...and Reaper now sat in front of the large computer, leaning on it with his hand pushed through his hair...and looked positively frustrated.

Every light in the cave was on, there was an angry mob of bats swarming around, cursing apparently at Reaper to turn the blasted sonics off. He unfortunately couldn't get it to turn off, or much of anything else he somehow managed to flick on. He was wanting to find a satellite image or something. What he was getting was a rather intense profile of a few villains he'd yet to meet.

"......hermmm...."

[Enter Jinx from Surrounding Area of Gotham]

Jinx followed the signal along the road as it turned inland, then the signal pointed away from where the road curved. The goth sorceress slowed down and pulled off the road. She noticed a dirt path leading into the woods, "Sheesh, Robin. Going for the Park Ranger Titans, are we?"

Shaking her head, she followed the dirt path where it got obscured by a small stream. Jinx paused a moment to make sure that the GPS was functioning properly. After verifying that the equipment was working properly, Roshni continued into the woods and became concerned with the now dark sky.

Slowly and cautiously proceeding forward, Jinx finds the entrance of a large cave near the rapid stream. Staring at the aperture, Jinx -- knowing that she was going to get wet -- announced her displeasure, "Great. A freaking stream in my way to a base designed by Captain Caveman. Absolutely fan-freakin-tasic."

Grumbling under her breath, Jinx put her Titan's comm on her belt, walked the bike across the stream, and made her way in the large cave.

As she carefully navigated the wet, dark cavern, Jinx felt water slosh inside of her shoes and socks. That sensation irritated Jinx, doubled with the air current freezing her thoroughly soaked form the sorceress grumbled a number of curses at Robin under her breath.

At first, the cotton candy haired sorceress' low light vision came in handy. However, as she went deeper and deeper into the cavern, the less she saw. As a couple of minutes streached into fifteen, Jinx was moving forward in almost complete darkness. She prefered moving in the dark. But when she stumbed over something, she quickly changed her mind.

For half a minute, Roshni rolled on the cavern floor holding her left knee on which she landed hard -- cursing liberally in Hindu. Sitting up, Jinx fumbled her fingers on the utility belt and found a tiny flashlight. She turned it on and saw what she tripped over: a gatling gun.

"Wha?" Jinx uttered in sheer horrific bafflement, then panned the light around and found other armaments such as nets, lasers, everything you would expect for defenses for a James Bond villain's lair, "Paranoid much, Robin?"

Roshni got up and slowly proceeded up the incline wheeling the Robincycle, watching where she tread and actively looking for booby traps.

After bypassing numerous traps, Jinx began to see a light ahead of her. It wasn't very bright, but it was appearently bright enough to disturb a large population of bats. Roshni could hear their complaints. Slowing down, Jinx doused her flashlight and crept forward.

The goth sorceress finally emerged into a large expanse with the cavern several stories high and very wide. Many lights shown here with several bat-themed vehicles, a museum of rogues, and computerized equipment. Thousands of bats swarmed in a bizarre holding pattern in the upper third of the cavern. Almost directly ahead in her line of vision was a full-size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex, a giant Lincoln penny, and an oversized Joker playing card.

Jinx stared with her jaw hanging open. After a few moments of shock, Jinx muttered out loud and mentally registered whose cave this was, "Oh God. I am so dead."

Reaper had completely given up on trying to use the computer to locate anyone. Frustrated and in a rather serious need to punch something, he had left the cave close to an hour earlier to help himself to the mansion above.

One of the patrolling Comrad units had wondered towards the path to the Wayne Manor; according to the Foreman's data, this manor belonged to Bruce Wayne, but for security reasons, this unit was not given information on Batman and his connections with Bruce Wayne, so if his memory banks were captured, they could not be used against Batman.

Wayne was a prestigious man of riches and it was in the programming to check up on all citizens and record their numbers to properly determine the patrol for each Comrad unit. This unit stepped up to the front door of the manor and analyzed the front, before extending his hand to ring the doorbell. Suddenly, the Comrad stopped. upon the external scan, there was a different path and it had recently been used. This was an oddity, but without knowledge of Batman, the Comrad continued his previous action and pressed the doorbell to the manor.

Reaper nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound of the doorbell. He'd purposefully kept his powers open so that he could sense when anyone approached the house or anything. More specifically kept 'an eye out' for any blood that came close to the house.
But there was no blood. No heartbeat. No real thoughts for that matter.

Creeping carefully down the hallway towards the entrance of the home, he stopped and stared at the door. A bag of chips in one hand, and a piece of a chip sticking out of his mouth that he had been in the middle of eating.
He just...stared for a moment. What was out there? It wasn't human. Not a live one at least. Did...did he answer the door? He really wasn't supposed to be here himself.

Cautiously, he approached the entrance. Instead of opening the door, he tried to look outside to see just who...or what...had wrung the doorbell. With any luck he was just being a bit paranoid. Perhaps the bell had a slight malfunction and went off on it's own. He had played with the machines in the "basement" quite a bit after all.

The Comrad unit detected some kind of movement beyond the door, subtle noises that pointed to a entity occupying the house. From this data, it was standard to quote the counting method for patrolling and if a person was living all the way out here, it would be a strain on the Comrad patrols, but it was still required by protocol to count every living head. The Comrad unit this time knocked twice, in his mechanized voice similar to that of the original Nimrod, the Comrad unit spoke to see if he could contact anyone inside.

"House Resident; it is suggested by patrolling protocol that all residents must be accounted for. Open the door or I will open it for you."

The Comrad unit was programmed on simply taking the door apart from the hinges, through it was probably a more complicated door then that; a rich man like Bruce Wayne would obviously have more advanced doors and locking mechanisms. The Comrad unit was an advance piece of machinery itself, so the Commissar was usually confident it could handle most residential doors and put them back together again in case of dire immergencies.
