Lore chuckled, it sounded exciting in a way, and he could always ask. There were parents out there who liked to raise their child as naturally as possible.

"Indeed, but we're getting ahead of ourselves, we won't be able to do anything until we get back."

Speaking of which, they should be getting ready for dinner soon.

Meanwhile, Lin and Earendil were just arriving back at the castle. They had just come in through the main door when they ran into Tinuviel - in Earendil's case, very nearly literally.

"Ah - sorry," he apologized, flustered, as he stumbled around her. Then he grinned at her. "You're all dressed up ... don't tell me you're actually trying to impress the man this time."

Tinuviel glared at her brother. "Do you really think I would waste the effort?" she asked him crisply.

Earendil coughed into his hand. "Um ... one of your best dresses, loads more jewelry than usual ... and if I'm not mistaken, perfume ..."

Tinuviel rolled her eyes. "Uncle Lore and Aunt Elnara are here, all right? It's a special occasion. You should dress up, too, everyone else is."

Earendil looked down at his dusty pants and loose shirt. "What's wrong with this?"

Blinking up at Earendil Lin couldn't help but giggle, she had always viewed Earendil as the more mature one out of the two of them, but he had just revealed that he was very much like many of the guys back home.

"It's your everyday clothes," Lin replied, "And we're dusty from today. If everyone is going to be dressed up, then it means it is time to get into a different set of clothes."

Elnara agreed with Lore wholeheartedly, and she smiled peacefully as she sank back into the pillows once more.

"I could get used to you being around all the time again," she teased him with a wink. "I think we're rather spoiled by all the free time we get to enjoy in this world. Your weekends ... people would love to have them, I'm sure."

"I think your first mistake was asking if she was dressing up for a suitor," Lin murmured.

She shook her head, who knew Earendil was a typical guy at heart? Then again wasn't he supposed to be an adult, for some reason in Lin's mind's eye she could see him being one of the teen boys from her school.

"And while normally I wouldn't dress up, I did forget that Lore and Elnara being here with the twins is deemed an important first visit. If it was just me, well... I'm always here, but Lore and Elnara... with the twins, that's special. Especially with the twins, and it's not often you guys get guests.. well suitors not included, coming here. So it only makes sense everyone is dressing up."

Elnara pretended to think about it. "Relax yes," she murmured, "but finish work ..."

She giggled. "Though with all the sleeping I've been doing I suppose you would need something to keep you occupied."

She leaned closer to him and kissed him on the cheek. "And don't worry," she whispered, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Your secret is safe with me."

Well she had to admit Tinuviel was far more dressed up than she would have preferred. Lin herself would think something nice, not normally worn and maybe a decoration or two. Not the amount of jewelery that Tinuviel was wearing and certainly not perfume. Though she resisted rolling her eyes at Earendil, while the logical was heartily felt, she was pretty sure that was not the point.

"Just a formal pair of pants and a nicer shirt Earendil, I do admit the fine dress, jewelery and perfume is a bit overkill, or maybe that's just me."
