My parents like Linkin Park. But most other parents think that Linkin Park, rock music and rap music inflicts a bad message to their children, saying it's okay to be depressed or go and sleep with people. But in reality, some people just listen to that kind of music because it sonds good. Other listen (mostly rock) to it because they know there's someone out there who know how they feel. That keeps kids from killing themselves. But parents don't see it as that, but as a bad example.

My father is a gothik but listens also to metal....but linkin park...omg
He hates this musik.
Once I listened to By Myself he asked me if these guys hurt themself

once my mom came into my room and it just happened to be the part of One Step Closer where they start screaming SHUT UP....yeah so i lunge for my radio and...
Me: ....god
my mom: YOU LISTEN TO THAT TRASH?!
me: >.< thats only ONE PART of the song...
My mom: oh ok
she dosent like any kind of music....shes just like stupid.
but i dont care what ANYONE thinks of linkin park cause i know that tehy are the best band ever and thats a fact.

my parents hate all the music i listen 2
cause i play it loud and it has heavy beats
i listen to lp ever now and again but not as much cause i listen to more newer songs
im waitin for their newest cd to come out

buzzybugg that and they are old and the general population of parents are not used to bands like lp , korn etc..they prefer bands like the beatles True, but when they were young THEIR parents hated the Beatles! I think it's a generational thing. 3nodding

i dont know i guess im weird or something cause my mom LOVES lp and she loves korn and other bands i like its weird. guess it comes from her growing up listening to zeppelin and bands like that its weird but kinda cool that she's into the same music as me
and trust me most parents dont hate LP i know tons of ppl on the LPU that have their parents join or parents got their kids to join so don't generalize because some people's parents hate LP not to argue just bringing this fact up

I don't think my parents really know what I listen to.. not that I listen to anything they wouldn't approve of, and I show them new CD's when I buy em -- especially when I get them to pay for them mrgreen -- but I don't really listen to my music unless I'm by myself. Especially Linkin Park, just coz of the screaming and stuff. I like that they don't swear, otherwise I probably wouldn't listen to them -- what a loss that would be! *Dies at the thought of not having Linkin Park in her life!*
I usually listen to Linkin Park in my room, or if I'm absolutely dying to hear it while I'm on my computer, I'll put it on quietly.. I just don't like listening to it near my brother or parents for some reason lol
Maybe coz my parents haven't really heard it and I don't want them to decide they don't like it and I shouldn't hear it.. and because I don't want my brother to like the same music as me.. stare
