User ImageReaper grinned a bit. Well, he had been spotted so there was no point in hiding. At the same time, why get into the middle of their little tussle. The man in red in blue seemed to be the only one with powers. Heck, the other guy didn't even bleed. Not even a drop of fun from him.
Casually, he made his way from the alley and started towards them a bit. Stoping a few feet away to watch. He'd have to decide how he was going to approach the man to taste his powers, or if he was simply going to pull his scythe back out and paint the concrete again.

Rosie thought for a moment. "Mmmm...yeah. Mister Spider-Man gave me a ride here. But I wasn't paying that much attention before." she replied, giving him a cute little smile.

After staring at the man who was freaking out for a moment, Riku turned his attention to the other man. "Hey. Have you seen a girl in a red and blue outfit anywhere."
He really wasn't sure where he was, or where the girl was. But he knew his symbiote was gone and she probably had it. He needed to get it back.

Spider-man blew right past the Commissar, his feet missing the gunmetal grey gasmask by centimeters. But with speed and improvisational skills borne of years of combat with all kinds of villainous weirdos with strange powers, he snapped his head back in the Commissar's direction, this time attatching his webline directly to his foe. "Crap he's fast!" Spider-man thought to himself. Out loud he said "Well, you know what they say about trying, if at first you don't succeed... Punch them in the head!" And with that, the webline pulled taught and Spider-man prepared to rocket himself (fist-first this time,) towards his adversary.

Normally Spider-man's spidersense was fairly reliable in combat, but he felt a little unfoucused as he executed this manuver, almost as thought the weird cloaked man represented more of a danger than russian biology display man...

"You are greatly wasting my time, Comrade; machines don't tire as easily as your kind."

Commissar was personally getting annoyed with the reluctance for Spiderman to just give up, but his stubborn fighting style was at the same time admirable. Maybe it was time to introduce a new kind of food to the creature and maybe have a chance to claim back what the Commissar had lost. The Commissar could hear the pink goo growl for food, but Spiderman was going to be a problem for that. Commissar was more deadly in close combat anyway, so having Spiderman come to him seemed like a much more interesting choice. Spiderman’s fist connected with the Commissar's gas mask and shattered in, revealing a mechanical face that seemed more like a control panel and soon even that was smashed by Spiderman’s strength. The eyes glowed bright red still despite being cracked and when the Commissar spoke, the small little digits on his mechanical face moved to match his words.

"You're getting to be quite a nuisance, Comrade."

Now that Spiderman was closed enough, Commissar reached out with both of his clawed hands and swiped them at Spiderman’s arm that he had used to punch his face. Machines felt no pain despite their damage, but humans -super powered or not- usually did.

User ImageReaper stood quietly and continued to watch the two. It was amusing, but he was afraid it may take a while at this rate. He glanced down at the ground a moment, looked at his shadow, then back up at the two with a smile. He'd been using the girl's duplicating powers so much that he forgot swiping some power from Shadow Spider.
"Do either of you need some help?" he offered with a grin. He really didn't care who answered, he'd pull the same stunt either way. Nor did he care wether the robot escaped or not. He was simply interested in gaining some more powers for himself.

A sliver of fire soon reached the top of the tower. It grew into a small circle, and another reaper slowly emerged from it. He stood there a moment, his 'eyes' scanning the small crowd. There were at least two humans here, but the rest were different. Power. He grinned and looked up into the sky a moment, just to make sure he didn't see a flash of blonde hair and blue costume. He could sense someone else high in the sky, but it wasn't the girl. He was much to far to bother with anyway. He turned his attention back to the group, smiling at the little girl and Shadow.

As Spider-man's punch connected, he said "They just don't make evil robot exoskeletons like they used to."

Then Spider-man's reflexes kicked in and he withdrew his hand a fraction of a second slower than ususal (because his spidersense continued to demand that he focus his attention on the man in the cloak), but fortunately it only cost him some excess skin cells and a long tear in his suit. "Don't be silly, lots of machines have tires. But seriously, I'm already getting tired of looking at your crazy ugly machine face, and I only broke it open two seconds ago. So why don't you just lay face down on the sidewalk and let me web you down so I don't have to try to fix the damage I caused by hitting you again." With that, Spider-man shot a web out behind Commissar, afixed it to a fire hydrant, and pulled it toward's the commissar's legs, meaning to trip him up.

His spidersense was practically shrieking about the cloaked man by this point, and Peter suddenly remembered Supergirl's warning about someone dressed this way. But since he was offering to help..."Sure, you can start by dropping the scythe and laying face down on the ground so I can web you up and have Tony Stark or Reed Richards capture you and put you in whatever prison they reserve for crazy power-absorbing supervillains. 'Cause that is more hassle than I need right now." In truth, Peter thought that Kara had underestimated him quite a bit. He may not be able to move mountains, but he'd held his own against plenty of heavy hitters. Usually, the bigger they were, the harder they fell.

"And I know, I just used the same line twice, but no one ever listens when I say it anyway so I figure I'll just keep trying until someone gets the message."

"Yes, I would appreciate that Comrade; Spiderman fails to see that I do not give up easily!"

The Commissar jumped up into the air using his mechanical leggings to give him a boost in his jump. Using his arms to control the way he fell, the Commissar aimed his blades towards Spiderman; preferably his neck. The blades on Commissar were quite sharp despite their use in hanging to the wall above. The material they were made of was quite special and they wouldn't break as easily as the rest of the Commissar's mechanical body. Most of the armor focused on the Commissar's chassis plate to keep the pink goo contained; having it escape would mean death to the Commissar or worse.

User ImageReaper stared at Spider-Man a moment, a bit surprised. Then he began to laugh. "Well, word travels fast I see. That girl was saying something similar to that earlier." Reaper said with a smile. He held his scythe out arm's length, then droped it, letting it clatter against the ground. "Though I haven't done anything yet, I suppose I'll oblige." he said with a sigh. Slowly he began to apparently shrank inside his cloak until he was close to the ground.
"There, now I'm afraid it would be very rude if I didn't oblige the other man's request. Wouldn't it?" he said in a poison dipped tone. The small shadow behind him suddenly grew and lifted from the ground, quickly forming what looked like a wall of complete darkness behind him. It shot towards them, engulfing the entire block in it's thick screen.

//It's like Pity from the Sinister Six novels. (If you've read them. Really good books actually.) It's enough to blind you while you're in the area of the darkness, but the one who cast it can see you. Spidey's spider sence helped him most of the time of course.//

Peter's Spidersense exploded. There was danger coming at him from practically every direction. But he was still thinking quickly. He leapt forward, straightening his body like a spear to shoot over the oncomming fire hydrant and away from the Commissar's metal arms."Wow Spider-man said to The Commissar as he leapt "Here I thought you had the potential to be an Ironman-Wolverine mix. But it turns out you're just another lame Doc Ock wannabe."

As he leapt over the Hydrant, he tried to angle it with his webline to smack into Reaper. He hoped that between the darkness and his own body standing in the way that skeleton guy wouldn't see the hydrant comming. Once he reached the side of an adjacent building, he started running up its surface, praying that the darkness didn't extend to the rooftops.

"Oh great, is it time for the evil loser team-up of the week already? Where are the other four of you hiding? C'mon out, let's just get this over with so that I can move on dealing with the whole trapped in an alternate reality thing after I take you all to jail."

Rosie caught a bit of movement out of the corner of her eye and turned her attention away from Psyco-Pirate a moment. Instantly she tensed up and gripped Roxy tighter once she seen who it was.

The Commissar landed on all four of his robotic limbs and quickly turned to see where Spiderman had left to. He seemed to be focused on the Reaper creature which was good, now Commissar could call for a copter back to base to have his body repaired and his sole life source fed. The creature in the Commissar's chassis was screaming for the Commissar to feed him; it had been so long since it had fed. Spiderman though needed to live since he would be a pawn in the destruction of the Commissar’s enemies, who were all enemies of Spiderman. Though Commissar considered just playing a hero to win Spiderman’s aid, over all these thousands of years he thought it was best to stay the course of a villain. Though this was a good distraction from capturing Rhino, the Commissar highly doubted his task force would have acted without his signal. Taking the moment of peace from Spiderman’s distraction with the dead man walking, the Commissar pushed away the shredded sleeves on his arm and opened a panel. Pressing the button inside the panel, the Commissar spoke.

"Claim the beast and reclaim the leader, my Comrades."

Claim the beast meant in code for the Eastern Bloc's task force to begin operations to catch Rhino and reclaim the leader was code for a pick up on the Commissar's location. Now Commissar just had to wait till the chopper arrived and he could leave Spiderman and the skeleton to duke it out one on one. After the Rhino was captured, the pink creature demanded the death of the Symbiotes on earth and once they were done, the Commissar could finally have peace in mind without it screaming to his mind to destroy them.

Shadow Spider looked down at Rosie as she tensed up, then turned in the direction she was facing. The shadows around her suddenly rose into the air agressivly as she turned to fully face him. "You." she growled, her face twisted in anger.

User ImageReaper smiled and bowed a bit. "Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Honestly, I wasn't following you, but I'm glad we're able to meet again. I really didn't get much power from you before. But with that girl occupied elsewhere, I'm sure we'll have more time. Oh, and you'll have to introduce me to your other friends." he said with a devilish grin, motioning towards the others. He spotted the young ninja at the far end and his grin grew. Ah, he recognised her. She didn't have any powers, but she would definately be worth using.

The Reaper watched Spider-man move past him and onto another building, then felt something smash into him. He used the impact to burst into black flames, spreading out everywhere. Even though he duplicated himself earlier, one going to where the other heros were, and the others onto other rooftops, more wouldn't hurt. Getting a blood sample should be simple if he was blind and overpowered.

A reaper ontop of a nearby roof top glanced down at the darkness. He hadn't moved it any higher than the street, and he wouldn't have to until the man arrived onto the roof with him. He grinned wickedly at the spider's comment. He moved towards the edge of the building and looked down, waiting for him to emerge from the wall of darkness under him. Was four all he was expecting. Well, wouldn't he be surprised.

[enter Carnage from New York City]

Carnage swung through the streets on his symbiote web strands. He looked around and saw a gathering of superbeings, obviously in a fight with each other. He looked at them, and recognised only one: Spider-Man. The scarecrow man had been right. He just might reward him with another reprive next time he saw him. Carnage dropped onto the ground and stood a few blocks away, so that he wouldn't get involved until he wanted to. He knew he wouldn't trip any Spider Senses, as he was Venom's offspring, and Venom had once been bonded with Spider-Man. The other man had asked that he waited for him, so he decided, since he had been so kind as to give Spider-Man's location, that he would, at least for a little. Until then, he'd simply wait, and figure out which of Spider-Man's organs he'd eat first: his heart or his brain.
