Valthier lost his temper emediately upon those ignorant accusations. Duraz would have been blown backwards by the force of rage that the vampire's mind was filling with so rapidly. he stood up from his seat, hands slammed on th table, seething with anger. his form rippled and grew stronger and furry, he transformed into his beast form and with growling voice shouted at her back "YOU KNOW NOTHING OF MY RELATION TO HER! SHE REPLACED MY ONLY FRIEND, BUT I STILL GAVE HER A CHANCE, AND I SHOWED HER RESPECT AND CARE! SHE THREW THAT AWAY ON HER OWN! AND WHAT KIND OF REDICULOUSNESS IS THIS YOU SAY, THAT SHE LOVED ME!?" he spat. he couldn't imagine the girl having any feelings for him, he didn't believe that a girl like seth could be capable of compassion for him. the thoughts started coming up in his mind, memories of how well she backed him up and cared for him in times of need, but he squashed them down in denial. he growled back at Maovu, and allowed his form to shorten back into a drow again, though he was still seething with rage, and his eyes were rapidly focusing and refocusing. "JUST-- ... just be carefull what you assume next time, girl! i cared for Seth, untill she betrayed the respect i gave her! let her rot, she deserves it!" with a huff he turned to glare at Duraz. the look on his face said all duraz needed to know, though his mind was practically screaming it at him. you'd best depart as well, before i lose my temper again.

the vampire almost lunged out of his seat at Duraz at the mention of his old pet sake, but settled at the offer of a game. he examined the muffin in front of him. ".... what kind of game? what's with the pastry?" he asked with a growl. he slipped his ring ack on his finger.

val examined the scalpel, muffin, and Duraz warily. was it a trick? some kind of prank or ambush attack, or something to make him look rediculous and undignified? he considered just eating the thing with his mouth, but he would not dare allow himself to look so rediculous. eating out of the hand of some stranger.

"this game is pointless." he annonced. "do not waste my time, i have things to do. i've got papers to grade. at the school once headmastered by the lich you killed." he grinned, before getting up and walking away toward his house.

Maovu tugged on Duraz's arm. "Let's leave the whore to his delusions. I want to go home." The toy maker had plans to revise and old friends to summon before she exacted her revenge on the nobles of Au'Shinduago. Even in death, Seth Derahel would prove to be a dangerous nuisance. After all, Seth wasn't Maovu's only student and she was far from the best. Soon there would be a new doll maker in Kiaransalee's city.

Maovu sauntered out of the cafe with her Duraz and her dolls. The model Valthier hopped onto her neck and gazed at her expectantly. "Go get Kahaba and bring him back to The Worg's Head. I think it's just the kind of place he's been looking for." Maovu whispered. The doll leaped off and scurried away. The toy maker watched as it disappeared in a forest of legs and feet. Most of Seth's dolls were stiff and spotless from lack of use but a few like the Valthier doll had been worn loose and smelled strongly of the high priestess's perfume. Those dolls had been loved. Maovu could tell how Seth felt about people around her by the quality of the dolls she made. Seth must have held Valthier and Valatar in high regard because their dolls were made of the finest materials. And the other doll, the one Maovu destroyed must have been made for someone Seth trusted. "Self-absorbed." Maovu muttered. Her former pupil had never been one to hide her emotions. It was clear to Maovu that Valthier had never really paid Seth any attention or he would have known. The high priest would pay for that. There were others that had loved Seth even if he never did.

"My most powerful student. He's on his way." Maovu smiled like a proud mother. "You'll adore him and he'll love you for making me so happy. I sent one of my dolls to fetch him. I don't think the owners of that cafe like this neighborhood anymore anyway." She laughed. One by one her family was reuniting.

Maovu waved a hand and dismissed the idea. "No, No. Kahaba's not a baby anymore. He'll want his own place to live and do business. Besides, I don't want his clients that close to my customers. It's bad for business. I think that cafe will do just fine." She said. It wouldn't take much convincing to get rid of the building's current owner.
