A soldier bowed before Sergei and then reported that Kirai had come. Sergei nodded and then responded to the soldier.
"So, you say she has come without hurting anyone? Odd, although not surprising. She must have come to terms with the destruction of the black cross. Go and send for her."Sergei waved off the soldier and he did what he was told and instructed Kirai that she may see the master.

Issac led them to the throne room where Sergei sat looking at them with his kind eyes.
"Welcome, how may I assist you other then healing your wounds?"Sergei said as he called for several doctors who began to funnel into the room.

eyes narrowing she held Anna a bit closer, shakeing with the need to run. the dark thing inside of her opened a bit, energy slideing across her skin. forceing herself to remain still, she looked at Sergei with a defiant glance. " im fine. i just.. Anna.." at a loss she looked down at the child she held, unsure how to ask for her safty. finaly she murmered. " i cant.. protect her.. or the others."

Sergei sensed she was nearing death and rushed from his throne and put a hand on her shoulder.
"We shall protect them, but for now I am going to heal you."Sergei put his hand right on her stomach and it glowed, he was using his own life force to heal her which was a special ability of the ancient vampires. Her wounds quickly healed up and enough blood was restored for her to live. Once he was done he took his hand away and smiled, looking her right in the eyes.
"You can stay here for as long as you like, there are many rooms and I promise you that the children will want for nothing. Although I see no reason for you not to live here with them. Go back and get the children if there are more, I shall send my men to assist you, however I am needed elsewhere. The life of a vampire ancient is never simple unfortunately."Sergei nodded and faded until he was no longer there.

winceing she steped back away from him, inching closer to Issac. she was both releaved.. and frightened. if he could heal her.. then he could protect Anna and the others. noding she pushed Anna into the arms of Issac, the child squealing with delight as Nia murmered lowly. " protect her. she likes you.. but if she is hurt im comeing after you myself." turning away she didnt respond to Sergei's offer, instintly blocking any hope that his words gave her. no clan, no name. no.. the best she could do now was get the other children and bring them here.

Lark fallowed Nia and Anna's sents, her pale golden eyes never leaveing the floor as she prowled to Nia's side. she had never had a problum getting past other vampires.. Dedrick had made sure of that.. she wasnt stoped by the vampires of this place, none of them seeing her as a threat.
she didnt say anything, though a small sound escaped her throat and she offered Nia the blood stained note she had found. she couldnt meet the older girls gaze, instead just stood and looked at the floor with her shoulders loose. she wanted to cry.. to scream and yell.. but no sound came. it never did.. not sense she had been changed.

glanceing at the young vampire she blinked. the small girl always shocked her.. her snow white hair and golden watchful eyes unnerveing most of the time. "Lark.. what are you.." she trailed off, accepting the card and reading it.

I did Warn you, yet you insisted on playing this game.
i took it easy on you.. without the children as a distraction i hope you will fight better the next time we meet.
P.S. the Boy Josh, that was his name wasnt it?, fought rather well. i take it you tried to teach him to fight?

a quiet sob blocked her throat, Nia falling to her hands and knees on the floor. she didnt care about her pride.. her heart felt torn open, blood red tears sliding down her cheeks as she tried to swallow. " the monster.. he..." hardening the look on her face she tried to stagger forward, fully intending to hunt Darius down. all she could think was children.. he killed children, murderer.. monster, beast..

Lark didnt move, just held up a hand and placed it on Nia's shoulder. with the casual gesture she slamed Nia back down into a sitting position, not struggleing in the least against the older vampire. her golden eyes never changed, and her soft but strong voice filled the air around her. " he will kill Anna if he gets the chance. you need to stay and protect her." she understood how Nia worked.. uncareing about her own health, as long as the others were fine.. she wouldnt leave Anna. but mabye.. Lark could help with the pain a bit. kneeling slowly next to Nia she wraped her arms around her shoulders, sending a sharp comaned for the woman to sleep.

she jerked for a moment and tried to fight the comand, her head falling forward and her eyes closeing.. bloody tears on her face and Darius's note held loosely in her hand.

slowly lowering her to the ground she let Nia's head rest in her lap, her fingers playing with her hair soothingly. her too old eyes flicked randomly to the side, nothing showing in them but the reflection of the room. calmly, with a normal childs innocence, she brushed Nia's tears away.. her own eyes looking sad. the hunter had killed children.. just to get at Nia. Lark frowned. she had lived with the other orphans.. cared for them in her own way. she didnt know how to react to what had happened, and failed to realize there was a single crystal clear tear running down her own cheek. with all of her knoledge.. the anceint vampires knoledge.. she still couldnt understand. how could someone be so evil..?

Sergei reappeared on his throne and several servants greeted him and one came in with a glass of blood wine that Sergei began to sip casually.

Anna, who had sliped away from Nia and Lark, tottled around in the hall. she tilted her head to the side, fallowing a sound until she came to the large throne room. letting out a thrilled giggle she ran to the throne, hideing behind it and laughing cutely. Nia hadnt woken up for a while, and Lark had told Anna to sit still.. which of course led to Anna running around wildly. she had been looking around for Issac, scareing two maids and running from Lark.

Issac was taking a walk when a thing bumped into his leg. He looked down to see the little girl from before. He looked at her for a moment and then looked up.
"Does this belong to anyone?"

Shea turned into the room just in time to hear what he said, her head snaping to the side. repressing a growl she cleared her throat, makeing her way over to pick Anna up and brace the child on her hip. look at Issac she raised an eyebrow. " she would be mine. cant you tell the family resemblance?" she knew it was unwise to bait the stranger, but her temper had went from bad to worse in just the last hour or so. carful to keep her sent human, she looked at Anna. " why are you out around here? i thought Nia lived in the downtown area."

waveing her arms she tugged at Shea's hair, speaking her normal jiberish. " Shee!!" hideing her face against Shea's neck she made a low sound, somewhere between a yawn and a mumbled word. she was happy to see Shea again, the last time had been just over a year ago.. though to her it had been forever instead of just a year.
