Exactly PMS, I just don't get it... It confuses me when someone goes on about fanous poets because I haven't got a clue who they are!
I am now getting very excited about starting my new fiction. I was going to use Verum's world plan but I've decided to turn the whole thing on its head. I'm now going to make it so it is the typical fantasy world, but keep continent and country names as well as languages. Humans will be the minority. I've spent ages planning and thinking about this story and I need to start writing it soon.
So...a plan is going to be drawn up later so I can actually get Verum finally out of the way. It only has a few chapters left anyway.
Now...I need to get ready for my workshop as I have to hand in my first assignment Friday! :O

As much as I love Harry Potter, that is one of the few series I like with such... easy magic (I don't know exactly how to describe it). Goodluck getting that written. By the way, how much time do you waste on Gaia that you could actually be writing? I lose several hours worth. smile

I lose several hours worth. smile Ahh I've been writing Libertas/Verum since April and the second part is taking forever!
I'm not going to include landmarks, I'm just a bit iffy on what types of magic my characters are going to have. Any suggestions? smile
Ummm how many hours I waste on Gaia? I spend about an hour or less nowadays because I have Uni and I'm always doing that work sad Corrr what do you do for several hours?!

By hours worth, I actually meant during the week. I spend about 30 mins here a day.
As far as magic goes, I don't like it to separate the character from everyone else too much. Either all humans should have a similar degree of magic, or none at all.
I don't have a preference for magic right now- it all depends on the writer. I liked the way magic was written into Harry Potter, but I don't like any other 'wizarding school' series that involve alot of magical beings.
I also loved Lord of the Rings, but the Prydan Chronicles... not so much.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do myself.
And just because you're not dealing with landmarks, I already like your story more. They've just become an old idea. I mean, the Pyramids of Giza have got to have at least 50 different uses by now. And the Eifel Tower... hundreds.
Landmarks have kind of lost their 'wow' factor in stories.

Yeah magic is iffy at the moment because everything seems to be compared to Harry Potter, just because it has magic haha.
Landmarks wouldn't work in my story as humans are a minority, a race almost extinct smile

Well, at the very least I have it open on my PC whenever I'm in the house and will refresh all of the common threads/guilds whenever there's a lull in the amount of work I have to do (or whenever I feel the need to put off the work I have to do XD). Hahaha oh dear. I wish I could spend more time on here but...I don't seem to stop working or being ill!
All my writing is on hold until I catch up on my work I was too tired for last week. Ack!

I'm doing an alternature Universe, so humans have always been a minority, seen as powerless and weak. The races are fantasy races, and the main race depends what continent you are on. smile

Right guys, I'm back with a vegence, a drive to finish Verum and start on my new one! I have music, my story and inspiration finally!
University is hectic and being the proofreader to our student paper, ugh, it's like I have no time to do anything else! However, here I am!

Okay, I am so, so, so sorry for having suddenly disappeared. Life has been so hectic for me: University, numerous doctor/hospital appointments, assignments, socialising and keeping my boyfriend haha.
I've abandoned all my works. I just don't know how to tell everyone on FictionPress that I haven't got it in me to write the rest of Verum. It would be a sham if I continued.
I've decided I need to get out of genre fiction and start writing something more contemporary...and luckily my boyfriend is helping me do that...
So, I shall try and be more alive on here from next week, as this week I have a lot of travelling and of course New Years!
