If Sasha was as good a pilot as she said (and talon was no slouch either from what he had seen) they could dock with the Khaos later.

The Khaos could be controlled from the bridge, the engineers only needed to maintain the engines and alert the pilot of any issues. Daniel gripped the helm. steady increasing the engines speed."Are we clear Myles?"

"All watch, check in. Are we clear?"

"Aye."
"Aye."
"Aye."

"Clear on all sides, captain."

Daniel says a quick prayer, "Castoff!"

the clank crew unties the mooring cables and the Khaos begins to drift away from the dock. Daniel gently increases the engines power, and the Khaos begins to pull away, drifting over the districts of the anacronism, slowly rotating on the giant cogs that make up the guild city. To any observer, the mighty battleship was a wonder to behold. freshly painted and restored the ship glowed in the midday sun.

Daniels grin couldn't get any bigger.

Talon just realised something "We were going to ship off soon!" She started to turn the sip half afraid to allready see the ship gone. It was their but starting to leave. "HOLY [FILTH!]." She started to fly closer to the ship. "Landing gear! where the hell is the landing gear!" She looked around frantically. The ship dew closer and closer, they were going to fast. She at last found it pulled the leaver.
They slammed in to the hanger the little two person ship rattled badly but, seemed ok. She pulled off the helmet cutting the engine.
"Im soooo sorry about the bad landing, if their is anything wrong with you ship I will pay you back or fix it."

Emelia watched the activity and hub-bub from the safety of her barrel seat. As the ship left the dock she walked to the nearest railing and leaned over, enjoying the breeze and the view.

She jumped when the ship made a hard landing, but as everyone seemed unharmed, she stayed where she was. Besides, it's not like she could help if there was a disaster anyway. Instead, she rested her chin in her hands and enjoyed the "maiden" flight.

Abigail placed her chin in her palms and sighed. Was there always going to be so much buildup for takeoff? Perhaps it was an intended show for their prestigious guest, something to prove the old girl could indeed be grand and not just s fumbling hunk of metal. Glancing down at the docks, a slow smile grew on the doctor's lips. The docks began to grow smaller and the people began to disappear. Standing upright and leaning out the window, Abigail grinned and looked upward. Marvelous. Despite her impatience, she could hardly deny how thrilling it was to feel the ship as it shook off the years of dust and sleep to soar through the sky.

Myles keeps his attention on the proximity watch tubes, listening for any reports. But there are none, The ship has practically no list to it, it flies straight and true.

then Talon's interesting landing. Also, she's only been told she's their first passenger and that this is their first test flight. She more than likely wasn't paying attention to any details she overheard from Amaranth's tour, and so doesn't know the history of the ship. Anything moving through the air will create a slight breeze, and she's just enjoying floating over the city.))

Apparently lost in some... Random bit of confusion, Albrecht found himself in front of Gunnery Captain Eli nonetheless, and had his hand up in a rather lazy salute. "Reportin' fer duty, Gunnery Cap'n!" A metallic bark chimed out from at his feet, then, before the metal dog began chewing idly at Eli's pants. Blinking, Albrecht leaned in to kick the metal pooch, sending it flying in some random direction.

"Which gun 'ye wan' me on?"

[Dragonflora: Just you metioned the ship making a hard landing confused me, as I thought you were talking about the Khaos when you said that. I'm silly that way]

Elliot returned with another lazy salute, like for like, well aware that this was hardly a military vessel anymore.

"Anywhere you like good sir. The clanks have no real opinions of there own, so I doubt any will mind if you releive them of duty. I trust the Captain has already informed you or their locations?"

via communicator he would interject the conversation with the new gunnery mate, he turned a few dials on his display within the cannon and quietly asked

"Permission to switch to live ammo sir"

a dead silence moments later as he waited everything ready to be switchd he jus awaited permission

[Imber: No worries. I also wasn't incredibly clear with my post. Hectic weekend with craziness abounding makes for a not incredibly coherent Dragon. It's also sometimes hard for me to post about my character keeping their nose in their own business and not jumping in on the action (which is what my characters usually do; this proper lady is still very new for me).]

Emelia watched the metallic dog chew on one of the (apparently) ranking officer's pant leg from across the deck. From the direction the men were pointing she figured it had something to do with the guns mounted around the ship. She pulled her goggles back down on her face to tint the light and allow her to see better; from there she proceeded to truly study the set up of this top deck from this vantage point.

Eventually, she realized, she'd have to learn the basic layout of the inside of the ship (or at least from her quarters to the galley and infirmary, maybe a reading lounge if they had one? No, probably not, but worth the moment to ask...later).

Hearing Nysth's comm., Elliot turned to the bridge tube.
"Just a second, please"
And calling down the tube:
"Captain, are we out of guild airspace yet?"

To Eli:
"We are just reaching the the guild ships outer edge."

Daniel began to increase the speed of the engines, pulling forward, using the steering controls to not only steer but to fly up and down. He gently pulls back on the helm lifting the ship slowly to a higher altitude. despite the wind and elevation the day was warm and pleasant.

(i'm stalling one more post in case we have a late arrival that jumps aboard. don't act too late you-know-who)
