Gabriel stood on his pedestal, alone, in an empty tower. The only company he kept was the engineering drone. Even though it was in the protection of the main artifact, it has been exposed to the dark aura already and a large chunk of its memory was missing. So as Gabriel tried to repair it using past data, the drone behaved like a retarded child, and constantly needed Gabriel to keep it still with an unseen hand. It was a frustrating process, but he managed. He has calculated that the army had left already, so he had the comfort of knowing that he could work in peace, he had already restored a couple of the internal turrets, and they were nearly worked flawlessly. 'Nearly' being that one of them had already shot a monitor because of a programming glitch, and was working to fix it along with the drones memory.

Gabriel finished the drone's restoration. It floated up and immediately began repairing the monitor the turret shot. "Well, thats one problem out of the way. Just need to think if a way to do something about the rest of the tower..."

There was something faint being picked up on Gabriel's sensors. He would have passed it off as a glitch if he hadn't here a voice in the room. The image of him spun around as the cameras in the room tried to focus on anyone else in the room. "Who is there? Identify yourself!"

The image of Gabriel crossed his arms as he looked in the direction the strange figure. He had the camera's shift through a variety of filters until he came upon one that he was able to see the figure the best. Same with the audio receivers, strengthening and tweaking the levels for the best sound. "Yes, quiet clearly now, the image is still a little fuzzy though. What manner of being are you?"

Gabriel tilted his head slightly, "I'm being visited by spirits now? My how strange things have gotten." He listened and shrugged at his question. "That is really too vague a question. Everything can always be beaten by someone else, could either be that someone is stronger, or that they are smarter, or that they out number the other. There are always thousands of factors that could decide the victor of battle, it can even just come down to luck. Wither blood and flesh or electricity and steel, it doesn't reassure victory unless you think tactically."

He then watched him tap the screen of one of the monitors, "That is a monitor, a display device that allows electronic data to be shown. I can't use it to see you. There are a variety of cameras and sensors around here which I am using though."

The drones arms fixed themselves back to its underside as it had finished the repairs on the monitor. It then floated on the opposite side of the pedestal from Jin. Gabriel waved his hand towards a hand full of monitors, which hummed and flickered on. Each showing some schematics for the original portal and some 'theoretical' portal physics text and data read outs. "I was only reactivated by Zero a few days ago, so my data is minimal. I can tell you what little I know."

Gabriel imitated a noise like he was clearing his throat as he looked up the old data. "From what I've learned, that portal is in direct connection to Hell. It's still a bit far fetched from my stand point, but images I've seen of the creatures escaping from it would have me believe otherwise. Zero understood that some creatures in this world could create portals for themselves, to quickly move themselves from one point to another. He created a gateway that could create a stable portal with another gateway pretty much anywhere, connecting them through subspace. Unfortunately, the last reports I received were of some Shadow Clan saboteurs that had tampered with the gateway, and it had halted the process halfway. That tampering connected our world with hell, and the energies that seeped through have rendered most of our old technology useless. It was also the reason for my own deactivation." As Gabriel told his story, the displays and read outs on the screens changed to show what he was talking about. The image of himself floated slightly slumped over as he ended his explanation.

Gabriel shrugged and crossed his arms again. "I'm sorry, Jin, I do not have that information available to me. All I know is that several of the creatures currently residing in the clan are supposedly demons from Hell, including the current leader. Unless the Shadow Clan saboteurs knew what they were doing when they tampered with the gateway, a highly unlikely fact I remind you, the portal connecting to Hell was just a random and most unfortunate event. I know its something that no one wanted or expected here." Strips of data ran along the underside of Gabriel's wings as he still tried to connect and restore the old tower systems.
