"Give me the answer to everything?" Aki asked dryly, sarcasm covering up her suprise at the voice. "How long's he had them? Whatever this thing is?" she asked, relaxing again.

Ray gave a smile as she was staring at the HPPC and said "They'll be standard for all members of the rebellion during our next meeting. We just got a new member, but you'll find out all about that during the next meeting.". Leaving a brief pause so he could collect his thoughts, he continued "Don't worry too much about it, things like that happen. There was a lot of pressure, and people can't help but snap under it. The demon rage is sort of my own way of losing it. Just remember, we're there to help you, we want what's best for you, whether it's trying to help you cope with the ties to your mother, or allow you to walk away unharmed."

Ignoring the sarcastic remark, he answered "He's had these things for about half and hour, he just got them when he came to pick up a replacement for his sword. I put in a bunch of these, so everyone in the rebellion can have one. This thing is an HPPC, High Powered Palm Computer, which is pretty self-explanatory. It's number one function is communication, because it can link with other devices without the risk of being tracked or traced. You could potentially hack a camera with this thing, and there'd be no way of finding out where the hacker is. If you know how to operate it, you could have it calculate some of the most advanced situations, for example, if I wanted to know how far a bullet could go when passing through multiple objects, you could input the caliber of the bullet, the gun firing it, the types of objects it'll be passing through, and it could do the rest for you. Because that's very hard for someone doing field work to do, I can control it from my computer, and help you guys out. Does that answer your questions?"

"Thank you." Aiva said. She felt releived to be reassured the rebellion was on her side. She turned her attention to the HPPC. "Do you want me to take one of these For Terra?" She asked, holding it up.

"Pretty much. How far away can I take it and still have it work?" Aki asked, watching the screen.

Handing Aiva another, he nodded and said "Sure, I'll just hand 'em out as I see any other members. Don't mess with it too much till the next meeting though, I'd hate to make the new member fret over repeatedly explaining the same thing over and over again with each person who tries to figure out how to operate them."

"Hmmm, I haven't done any distance testing on these things. Well, they can operate on more then one sort of connection, including radio and satellite, so you should be able to use them and connect with any of the other HPPCs at any distance, you just lose the ability to keep connections completely hidden, though they'd still be very hard to trace. Even if you didn't want to connect with the other HPPCs, this this is the most powerful cell-phone you'll get your hands on, so it would still be useful.".

Aki nodded. "Thanks. So, how exactly does it work and what all can it do? Or should I just mess with it to find out and pray it doesn't break?" she asked with a faint smile.

Kimi reached the mayor's home and knocked on the door. A maid opened the door and let her in. "She's in her room." the maid said knowing that most likely Kimi is here to see her. "Thanks." Kimi replied giving her a smile. Kimi walked up the stairs and turned down the hall. Kimi made sure that no one was watching as she pulled a super high tech handheld laptop out of her pocket. She pressed some buttons and the screen lit up. She entered her password and the screen read, Welcome back Kimi. She pressed a couple of more buttons and a couple of red dots and a couple of green dots appeared. She clicked one of the dots and a picture of Ray and a full description of him showed up. So that's who he is. The name he gave Kimi during the fight, Slyrin, sounds familiar too. She clicked another red dot and Aki's picture and description appeared. Kimi's eyes opened in shock. Aki? She's part of the rebellion? I wonder if the mayor knows. I better tell her. Kimi signed out, closed her handheld laptop, and put it back in her pocket. Then she slowly walked to the mayor's room.

Aiva nodded. "I should probably get going; I need to make dinner soon." She said. Not waiting for Ray's reply she left and went to the library. She returned her books and then she went into the room that held the spell books. She was disappointed to find that most of the books were gone. There were only a few left and only three of them were written in Latin, the only language Terra and Aiva could speak. One had elemental spells, one had defense spells, and one was spells for controlling shadows. She opened the one that had to do with shadows and read a random spell. “Umbra intego.” As soon as the words left her lips, shadows swarmed around her making a shield. It shocked her enough to make her drop the other books. “Exonero.” She said once she had regained her composure. The shadows instantly disappeared without a trace. When she bent down to pick up the books, something caught her eyes. I was a book entitled ‘Shades’ that was under one of bookcases. She picked it up and examined it. “It couldn’t hurt to learn more about what I summon.” She said to herself. She took tat ook and the other three and left the library.

Dro'ki was standing on one hand with his legs pointed straight up in meditation, the room he was in had one of the corners blown open to expose it to the outside that let the light of the moon enter the damaged room, his figure was concealed in heavy shadows far corner and and at that time he started talking to another the voice was rough but faint almost seemed to echo in his ears.
"Now, now Dro'ki that wasn't very nice of you." Dro'ki spoke out loud while still in his meditative pose. "Your opinions of how I acted then are not welcomed."
" You would have enjoyed yourself as well. Dro'ki don't you remember the fantastic times we had together? Those beautiful colours spilling and covering over every thing...the intoxicating sents each one had... "
Dro'ki leapt to a standing possition, anger slowy replaced his calm voice. "You no longer exist you no longer have a form nor do you have power, I've change, my past no longer will defin--"
The other's voice suddenly was violent, drowning out any thought Dro'ki had. "HOW LONG WILL YOU KEEP LYING TO YOURSELF?!!You damn well know you haven't forgoten that I am your pastand that I exist!! I am your Anger, I am our hatred, scorn, and your rage. You've locked me within the depths of your mind for far to long and I have gnawed out of the bindings you put me in over 275 year ago and I am demanding the use of your body as I need to FEED!!!!" Dro'ki felt his body spasm as his past self tore through his self-control fueling his blood with massive doses of adrenalin and made the body change from the human form into the form he was containing for so many years.

Carys smiled at him and looked over her shoulder at the now almost empty park. "Why don't we head to a cafe I know?" She was on a first name basis with the owners of every cafe in town, so it didn't matter where they went even as late as it was, she could find someone willing to let them in and she really didn't feel like standing around the park. "It's getting late and I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind a nice latte." She remembered too late that she probably should find Ray and Miri. She would have to do so later...or maybe she could take Zen to the cafe that she had told Miri to meet her at, the one where the rebels had met prior to the riot. Maybe she'd find Miri there, if Ray hadn't decided to have her work a little longer. Either way, she decided on that cafe. By wing it would only take two or three minutes to get there.

Giving a slight wave to Aiva as she left, he stretched, then began his walk again. Opening the book up, he went through the pages at an alarming speed, mumbling every word under his breath at the same speed. It looked more like he was scanning the book then actually reading it. Perhaps Slyrin wasn't the only to inherit some smarts? Looking up suddenly, he realized he was in a district of the city he didn't visit often. The nicer area, mostly populated by the fortunate, and located closer to the center of the city, where many of the government facilities were. Scratching behind his ear, he gave an uncomfortable look around and asked himself "How in the world did I end up here? Geez, I shouldn't walk and read at the same time... The only part of this city I don't know, and I wander right in the middle of it. That's my luck.". Turning around to retrace his steps, he realized he hadn't been walking straight the whole time, so he really had no way of retracing his steps. Shooting a glance at the street name, sighed and said "I could be standing next to the mayor's house for all I know. What a fine situation I've wondered into. Well, if I ran, that would sure look suspicious, maybe I can find a map on this HPPC thing...". Ray was right about one thing, he WAS standing next to the mayor's house.

"Well, you wouldn't be doing yourself much good by breaking it, so I'll try to help you out. A few of the functions on here aren't designed to be easily used without in in-depth knowledge of binary, and other computer codes. Still, there are plenty I can show you, or you could figure out on your own. Like I said, it's main use is for communication, from the start-up menu, it has a 'seek connections' option. It'll list everything it can tap into, so if you were to go there now, you'd find satellite signals, Wi-fi, cellular, radio, and my personal favorite, quorum. I'm sure you know what all of those are but the last one, which I won't go into too much detail, but it's what the HPPCs connect with, it's a method not used by any other device. Now, if you were near any other digital device, it would appear in that menu, and you could access that as well. That's where most of the hacking comes into play, such as the camera hacking I mentioned before. If you accessed wi-fi, you'd be able to use it like any other computer and browse the internet, use cellular, it becomes a cell-phone, radio makes it a radio, and satellite make it a GPS. You could also lock onto a particular signal, and use the GPS to make it a tracking device. The rest of it's uses aren't anything you'd find useful, or be able to use at all, so there isn't much point in trying to explain it, but if you understood what I explained, you should be fine. So, you still with me?" Slyrin hoped she understood what he'd explained so far.
(I hope what I've explained makes sense so far too xd . I really did look into some of it for a little bit, so almost all of it is plausible, except for the whole quorum thing, which exists, but probably couldn't be used this way. ((Quorum is how micro-organisms communicate)))

((it's fine. I didn't really expect you to actually say how, just say he told her. lol.))

"Pretty much. If I need anything else I can always ask, right?" she said, nodding as an answer to her own question. "Well, thanks. Oh, can you figure out where I am using it?" she asked, looking to the wall across the room.

"What're you doing all the way over here?" Miri asked curiously, coming over to Ray. Somehow, her habbit of turning up in random places could be strangly useful.

(I had most of it figured out for myself anyways, I feel that if I'm gonna say something or introduce something so big to the story, it might as well have a solid background. Makes it easier to RP with.)

Slyrin nodded and replied "Yep. Just feel free to ask. And yea, I can find out where you are, or where the device is at least, at any time. Well, if that's all, I suppose I'll be seeing you around, bye!" Flipping off the screen and closing the connection, he leaned back on the chair and stretched his arms. Yawning, he took a brief look at the locations of the other HPPCs, figuring out Ray had already distributed two more.

Giving a relieved look to Miri, he approached her, and answered "I was reading a book I picked up, and I somehow wandered over here. Thank god you're here though, please tell me you know where we are, cause I sure don't. I wanna get out of here as soon as I can, and can feel the smugness in this place. I don't like areas like this, I'll take a shady part of town any day.". He still had the HPPC out, just in case Miri didn't know where they were either, though he doubted she was a spacey as him.

Amnity growled before letting go of the boy's hand. He writhed in pain, for the force she used to just grip his wrist was enough to snap it. She turned to Laviatar now, the angry expression still lingering in her eyes. "Come on...Let's get out of here..." Aww....And it was beginning to look like a good day too...

She went back to her apartment and popped in the movie Titanic first. It was a romance movie, and nothing could make her more happy then to just snap the DVD and toss it out the window. Sighing, she slumped onto the and invited Laviatar to come sit next to her. Well....At least people die in this movie.... But that thought wasn't convincing enough. Through the movie she still had sudden urges to take her revolver out and kill herself.

The soldier got up during the movie, a bit annoyed when she realized that it was practically 6 hours long. Amnity went to her "storage" room, taking back with her her SR-99 sniper rifle. She sat on the table near the TV, setting her weapon down. Occasionally, she would look up at the movie was she loaded her gun with hollow pound rounds.

Miri laughed. "That's the mayor's house." she said, pointing to the house beside him. That alone would tell him where they were, even if he didn't recognize it or know how to get out. "Where'd'ya wanta go?" she asked.
