"WHAT??? Oh god no!" this news hit her hard and deep. One of her beloved Mishaps was in mortal peril "How could this happen?"
She was in shock, nearly crying. Jabir had been right all along. The tree Sentinels were far from effective against outsiders

Sick with shame, Crow looked up at Maggie.
"Please, I'm sorry. You have every right to kick me out of here. Once I get her back, I swear, I'll never bother you again. I'll leave."
The thought pained her terribly. But, Len would be better off without her. Everyone would be.
"I know where she is. Me and Julian and the others are going to go get her. And get back at the guy responsible."

"I will not allow it" she raised her head, her eyes burning with anger
"Jabir's going with you, you will bring back Len and you will stay here until she's grown up"
She grabbed Crow's hands with her own, ignoring the pain from the claws. Her expression soften a bit as her heart bleeded
"The past hunts us all, some worse than others. It's not your fault. The cat choosed you for a reason and it's clear as crystal Lenore was meant to be with you"

Nodding mutely, Crow sniffed as she started to cry again.
"Tell him we'll be going soon. I'll get her back safe, I swear." She said, clinging to Maggie.
"I won't let him hurt her."

Maggie hugged her in reply and patted her on the back gently, much like a mother would
"I'm sure you won't. You're the best thing that could have happened to her"

Crow laughed a little.
"I think it goes the other way around, really." She said, letting Maggie go. "She -"
"CROW EZILI ADYAMAUR!"
Crow jumped, looking startled. Julian had burst onto the balcony, looking furious.
"Why the hell did you just take off? Do you know how bad you just scared me?" He said angrily, storming towards her and seizing her by the wrist.
"Don't you dare leave like that again. Not 'til all this mess is over with. There could be snipers or something hanging around waiting to pick you off," he said as he started dragging her back inside. He looked over at Maggie, suddenly embarrassed.
"Pleased to meet you. I'm Julian. We have to go inside now, just in case someone tries to shoot her face off," he explained quickly, shooing Crow back inside. Crow put up with it tolerantly, looking bemused.
"Uh, bye, I guess - have Jabir come by Rabid's room later. We're gonna get her back soon." She called as Julian lead her inside.

Maggie was a bit surprised at Julian's outburst but it was understandable. They were worried about her

The Showdown
"You're sure you know how to get us there?"
Ethan nodded, re-reading the directions carefully.
"I am certain." He said. Crow paced around the room, biting at her claws and hyperventilating a little.
"What if she isn't there? What if... what if he..." She muttered, trailing off and looking at him worriedly. Ethan shook his head.
"The house has rooms down below for detainment. All the prisoners are there. Trust me, I am certain he is keeping her there." He said, looking a little sick as he spoke. Julian, sitting at the table beside Ethan, took the paper and glanced over it.
"How do we get in?"
Crow laughed humorlessly.
"We storm the entrance. There's no other way. I doubt he'll open up the gate for us," She said, her voice cracked and ever so slightly hysterical.
Julian shifted in his seat, looking thoughtful.
"Is Jabir going to come or what?"
Ethan blinked in confusion.
"Jabir?"
Crow laughed again.
"You'll see."
Looking over at Rabid and the others, she waved her hands around helplessly.
"You guys don't have to come. This isn't your mess." She said, though her expression plainly begged them to come along.

"Oh, come on," Rabid rolled her eyes, "You're my best friend. Len's like a...a...niece. We're coming."
"I concur," Liam attempted a smile.

A cloacked figure soon entered the room. It looked liked a tall person, about 7-8 feet high, but once he took his hood off Jabir's serpent like neck and head was uncovered in all its full leght
"Maggie told me we're going to face a particularly dangerous group so I decided to go undercover until the fight starts. And I hope you don't mind me bringing this"
He took a very long, black scythe from under the cloak. It was hard to tell how he fit it inside it in the first place

Ethan gave a cry at the sight of Jabir and fell off his chair, looking stunned. Julian helped him up, eyeing the scythe with a vicious grin.
"Hello, Jabir." Crow said, her voice a monotone.
Her hands shook badly, and she clenched them into fists to hide it. Jerking her head at Julian and Ethan, she made for the door.
"It's time to end this. Let's go."
Julian followed willingly, the grin growing more obvious.
"That son of a b***h is going to suffer."

Rabid laughed maniacally.
"Sounds like a plan."
What better way to go down than fighting.
Liam followed closely behind the rest of the group, crossing himself quickly. Ethan was beginning to get to him.

Jabir hidded himself and the scythe under the depts of the cloack and silently followed. If no one knew he could easily be mistaken by a person, even when he walked

Leading them all outside again, she got in the car and waved them in.
"Here we go," she said, smiling blandly. "If we... if I die, take care of her, alright?"
Julian and Ethan exchanged worried looks before climbing in. Ethan handed over the paper, looking a little afraid.
"So close. They're so close, and I never even realized," Crow breathed, looking oddly amused.

Rabid refused to respond to her friend's request. If she died...well...bad things would happen to them all, no doubt. She climbed into the car, a neutral expression carved on her face.
Liam sighed and slid into the car. He began forming militarian strategies in his head.
If they come from the right, all we have to do is...
He was wholly unnerved by Julian and Ethan's nervous reactions. Poor kids.
