Random Weekly Events

[1/15/09] Amendment regarding exp and rules of setup of event 1

Sorry bout that folks. Didn’t think about this at first. I’ve been watching and reading some of your posts and remember now. Yea you do post your completed event in the EXP thread. Just use the regular format but you don’t have to count your posts and instead of your level, post your rank. Sorry again about that.

Also corrected some bad wording and clarified some things in the events. Thanks for the help Gig, Proto and B.C.

[Basic Info]
Hi folks, it’s you friendly neighborhood Overlord here. We got a pretty kinky new event for you guys…

Baka Red: “Sir, I think Kinky is more in reference to sexual items…”

… as I was saying, we have some pretty nice little items planned for you ungrateful slaves in the future: This is but one of them.

The way this works is that once a week, I will roll a dice. Whatever number it lands on, that event goes into play. The purpose of this thread is to act as an encompassing view of the entire village. In other words, all your posts related to these events will be done in this thread but you are also allowed to rp/train in the rest of the village as normal.

Once the event starts, you can participate if you feel like. However, once the dice rolls for the next event, if you haven’t completed the previous one, you get nothing. I don’t care if you are one post away from finishing, you get nothing.

“Ooooh the Overlord is SOOOO mean!”

Anyway, if you complete the event, you get the rewards associated with your rank. No, you can’t do an event more than once per week unless you fail.

There are a few special rules for this:

1) You cannot die in any of these events. If you do fall to 0 hp, your character will simply be counted as unconscious and you fail the event. It will take one full real life day before your character can come back with 1 HP to try the event again. Again, this is only associated with this thread so it has no bearings on your characters HP outside of this thread.

2) As stated, you have from the time of the initial roll until the time of the starting roll for the next event to complete the event. If you do not complete the event, you get nothing. The date and time of the rolls will be posted in this first post as well so just check here to make sure you aren’t screwed.

3) If the roll to start the next event brings up the same event number then a new roll will be done. In other words, the same event won’t happen 2 weeks in a row but it may happen one week then skip a week and then happen the next week.

4) All posts related to these events should be made here. If you have any questions, ask them in the OOC thread or email them to me. Also, if you have any suggestions for an event to add, email them to me.

5) Have friggin fun!

Now, here are the events!

EVENTS

1) Rock slide frenzy:
Something has caused a massive rock slide on (insert mountain name). This isn't really something that bad but due to the change in topography from the war with the Earth Master, a path has been cut right to the village. Stop the rocks from hitting the village and stop them at their source. There's rumor of a pretty nice vein of gold in that section of the mountain. Maybe you'll find something.

Rules: User must stop the stones using one of three methods.
A-Destroy the rocks with Taijutsu -Must destroy 10 stones or more each with a DC starting at 20(1D20+str mod). Multiple rolls are allowed to reach the desired DC for a rock so long as you have enough attack turns. You may add up your Taijutsu rolls for one post to equal the DC asked of your class.
Gennin DC - 20
Chunnin DC - 30
Jounin DC - 60
ANBU DC - 70
Kage DC - 120

B-Build a trench/hole to hold the rocks-Must big a trench to hold 10 stones or more. The trench has a starting DC of 100(1D20+craft device skill). The player can add multiple rolls in separate posts to gain the required DC. Each post can only have as many rolls as the character has attack posts.
Gennin DC - 100
Chunnin DC - 120
Jounin DC - 160
ANBU DC - 170
Kage DC - 250

C-Construct a barrier to stop the stones- Construct a barrier to stop the force of 10 or more stones falling right towards it. The barrier has a starting DC of 100(1D20+craft device skill) within 10 posts. The player can add multiple rolls in separate posts to gain the required DC. Each post can only have as many rolls as the character has attack posts.
Gennin DC - 100
Chunnin DC - 120
Jounin DC - 160
ANBU DC - 170
Kage DC - 250

Other: If option C cannot be completed in 10 posts, you may choose another method and restart the exercise. One point will be deducted from your exp if you switch methods.

Restrictions: No Ninjutsu or Genjutsu allowed

Special: If, after completing the above exercise, you wish to attempt the gold rush, only the person that reaches it in the least amount of posts (shortest time basically) wins it. DC for climb starts at 200(1D20 + str. mod) with no post limit.
*Every other post for this side quest, the user must either avoid or destroy a boulder that rolls towards them. The boulder DC for dodging and destroying starts at 20 and increases by 5 for each new boulder. Dodge(1D20+tumble skill) Attack(1D20+str mod)

Reward:
Gennin-+30 Exp / Str +1, Con +1 (For method A) / Con +1, Craft Device +10 (For method B) / Dex +1, Craft Device +10 (For method C)
Chunnin-+100 Exp / Str +1, Con +1 (For method A) / Con +1, Craft Device +20 (For method B) / Dex +1, Craft Device +20 (For method C)
Jounin-+200 Exp / Str +2, Con +2 (For method A) / Con +2, Craft Device +30 (For method B) / Dex +2, Craft Device +30 (For method C)
ANBU-+220 Exp / Str +2, Con +2 (For method A) / Con +2, Craft Device +40 (For method B) / Dex +2, Craft Device +40 (For method C)
Kage-+500 Exp / Str +3, Con +3 (For method A) / Con +3, Craft Device +50 (For method B) / Dex +3, Craft Device +50 (For method C)

For being first to gain gold on mountain - +50 Ryu / +50 exp / +10 Tumble or +1 str(Depends on which you used the most)

2)Ore Rush
Apparently, not all the veins of ore and precious metal in the mountains were completely drained. Someone found a strong supply in one of the old abandoned mines on (insert mountain name). Everyone’s getting in on the cash...why aren't you?

Rules: Using an axe pick provided by the mining society, the user must mine for items. The user rolls 2 20 sided dice. The first one is to see how much further the wall can be pushed till it breaks. The user will have to do multiple rolls (in separate posts) to add up to the DC for that wall. Each post can have as many rolls as attack turns that character has.
The second one is to see what item you gain. Different items give different payouts. The user must go through 5 walls before they can say they are done. You can do up to 10 walls. The DC is comprised of 1D20 + str mod + 5(for pick axe).

Gennin DC - 20 + 5 for each new wall
Chunnin DC - 30 + 5 for each new wall
Jounin DC - 70 + 10 for each new wall
ANBU DC - 80 + 10 for each new wall
Kage DC - 120 + 20 for each new wall

The payouts for the 2nd D20 are as follows:

Odd numbers you gain nothing
2, 4, 6, 8: you get high grade coal = 5 Ryo
10, 12, 14: you get silver ore = 10 Ryo
16, 18: you get gold ore = 25 Ryo
20: you get a rough diamond = 50 Ryo

Other: *When you complete one wall and move to the next, any points OVER the DC for the last wall carry over.
*If you roll a 1 at ANY time on a wall, the wall 'collapses' and you must start again on another wall at that same DC but with no points accumulated.
*If you collapse 3 walls, you fail the event and get nothing.

Restrictions: No weapons, tools, Ninjutsu or Genjutsu

Special: *If the user forgoes using the pick axe and decides to use taijutsu instead, they must take a damage equal to str mod however, all rewards for this activity are increased by 1.5 times rounded up.
*If you run out of HP through this method, you fail the event and get nothing but you may try again but you have to start from scratch.
*You are allowed only 1 Rest post per 3 working posts.

Reward:
Gennin-+30 Exp, Str +1, Con +1
Chunnin-+70 Exp , Str +1, Con +1
Jounin-+200 Exp, Str +2, Con +2
ANBU-+250 Exp, Str +2, Con +2
Kage-+400 Exp, Str +3, Con +3

*1.1+ per each wall you do past the first 5.

3) Scorpion Round Up
Well, whether you love them or hate them, the giant scorpions of Iwagakure are kinda the village symbol so what ya gonna do? Unfortunately, they have been a bit rowdy latly and are causing problems for trade routes and people coming to the village to make propositions. Smack a few of them around a bit to hush them up would you?

Rules: The player will be required to battle a minimum of 3 giant scorpions that are roughly around their rank. Victory is achieved when all 3 scorpions are defeated The player may choose the combination of scorpions from the list provided for their rank.

Gennin Scorpions: Gennin may choose up to 4 of these scorpions
Chunnin Scorpions: Chunnin may choose up to 5 of these scorpions
Jounin Scorpions: Jounin may choose up to 6 of these scorpions
ANBU Scorpions: ANBU may choose up to 6 of these scorpions
Kage Scorpions: Kage may choose as many of these scorpions as they want.[[I'll do these if these ideas get passed]]

Other: *There are more ways than one to defeat or otherwise drive off a giant scorpion. For those that come up with especially inventive ways of doing this, their rewards will be increased by 1.5x
*You may fight multiple scorpions at once and will get 1.2x the rewards for doing this but you only HAVE to fight 1 at a time.

Restrictions: None

Special: *Players can NOT be killed during this event. In the event that the players HP hits 0 or below, they are automatically taken to the hospital and can not move the character from that spot for 24 real life hours from the last post they made in the event thread. Upon the ending of that 24 hours, their character will have only 1 hp and must recover the rest through whatever means the player wishes.
*If there is still time left in the event, you may restart it from the last amount of scorpions you had but they will have full HP when you restart.

Scorpion profiles here.

Rewards:
Gennin-+50 Exp, + 1 stat point in up to 3 different stats based on performance / additional 10 exp and 1 stat point if the user fights max number of scorpions for this rank.
Chunnin-+80 Exp , +1 stat point in up to 4 different stats based on performance / additional 20 exp and 1 stat point if the user fights max number of scorpions for this rank.

ANBU-+300 Exp, +2 stat points in up to 4 different stats based on performance / additional 50 exp and 2 stat points if the user fights max
Kage-+500 Exp, +3 stat points in up to 5 different stats based on performance / additional 100 exp and 3 stat points for every 3 additional scorpions of this rank the player defeats.

4) Actors Round-up
Thank’s to the current Tsuchikage being so well known in the film industry for both decent and indecent films, Iwa has become a bit of a hub for recruiting new talent for movies. Star’s are being born and fading faster than a Supernova could possibly keep track of. Why don’t you try your hand at stardom.

Rules: The player will have to audition for a role that fits their personality. The auditions consist of 2 scene try outs: 1 is a pure acting scene and the other is a combat scene. For the acting scene, the user must past a Performance(Acting) DC based on Rank 5 times. For the combat scene, the user must defeat a foe of your rank with exactly half your stats(rounded down) but make it interesting. Take too few posts and your not ‘exciting’ enough, take too many and you’re too much of a ham.

Gennin: Performance(Acting) DC 15 / Combat Posts: 3 min, 6 max
Chunnin: Performance(Acting) DC 25 / Combat Posts: 4 min, 8 max
Jounin: Performance(Acting) DC 50 / Combat Posts: 6 min, 10 max
ANBU: Performance(Acting) DC 75/ Combat Posts: 7 min, 10 max
Kage: Performance(Acting) DC 100/ Combat Posts: 8 min, 15 max

Other: Obviously, since this isn’t a REAL fight, you can’t die nor can you be knocked unconscious. If your HP reaches 0, you simply lose that portion.

Restrictions: None

Special: If you give your character an acting scene that goes directly AGAINST their personality, increase the DC by 10 (+2 per rank past Gennin). Reward's increased by 1.5x if you do this.

Rewards:
Gennin – Acting reward: +15 exp, Performance(Acting) +10 / Combat reward: +20 exp, +1 to any stat(s) of your choice //
Completing both: +50 Exp, Performance(Acting) +15, +1 to any stat(s) of your choice

Giglamesh would come walking to the base of the otouto moutians, mumbling somewhat angerly to self. "Dirty sons of bitches "gig go stop the rock slide, gig help us"....a** hole council." Giglamesh would come to one of the larger paths of the otouto moutians, if there was a rock slide they would most likely hit the lowest path and keep going down that path. Giglamesh could see in the distance the rocks coming towards him. There were two of the, giglamesh would a sigh would begin walking the first rock that was coming at him extremely fast. Giglamesh would slide his hands in his pockets and the rock would quickly approach as he made no attempt to move, Then rock as the rock would hit would would put hi right foot out. Then the rock would begin to slow down and push giglamesh back a small distance, then as it stopped giglamesh would then whip his left heel around to do a heel kick to the rock smashing it to dust. Then he would put his leg down and begin walking up the path again, a second rock came down the path the would jump against it and jump flipping a single time in the air to come back down with a heel drop to the top of the rock smashing the second to dust. He would land and like nothing happened he would continue walking up the path.

It wassent much longer before another rock would quickly tumble at giglamesh but still he just walked at it like nothing was happening. this would he would just kick his foot straight at it, as he kicked it the rock would lift off the gound some before launching straight back like a rocket in to a fourth rock smashing and exploding on the fourth rocks surface. The forth rock was damaged but no destroyed, but where did giglamesh go? Next thing known was giglamehs would come down on top of the fourth rock hard both heels down stomping in to the rock turnin g it to dust under his feet. Then he would land on the path and once againt just keeping walking with his hands in his pockets.

Giglamesh would continue up the path which the rocks kept rolling down still mumbling to himself. "...dirty sons a bitches...."no jutsu, if you fail burning rocks roll to the village." meh meh meh......should let one pass ...smash there faces....old farts." It was as if giglamesh wassent even paying attention.

As another rock was quickly approaching giglamesh, but it was like he wassent going to try and evade it, and he wassent. As the rock would hit him he would simply kick his right foot incredibly hard as if he was playing kick ball. then just like he was the massive stone stoped it moveign foreward and would lift off the ground slightly before eventually being catapulted high in to the air, and giglamesh would continue walking hands still in pockets. A few moments later the rock would come down smashing in to the ground and crumbling. Another rock approached giglamesh, he was getting tired of this very quickly he would begin to charge the rock with a very fast pace before leaping straight at the next rock trusting his kick directly at the rock with great force.

Suddenly the rock would launch back rolling back up the hill literally in to another bolder that was rolling down the path. Both would stop rolling and giglamesh again charged the rocks that had stoped and would once again drop kick the first rock hard smashing it to dust, and the second he laded he would round house with his left heel to the second rock, then bring his left foot to the ground stomping it don useing the momentum from that kick and stomp to kick his right foot incredibly hard in tot he rock smashing this rock to dust also. Giglamesh would hold that pose for a moment, left foot down in to the ground, his stomp literaly broke down in to the ground, right foot still out slightly leaning forwards. He would then stomp that foot down and use it to pull the other foot out of ground and step foreward then pull the right out of ground and go back to walking again as it ten foot tall rolling rocks didnt bother him in the slightest.

6+25=31 > 30

Raisuke had been hearing the talk. The bantering of other shinobi as well as from common merchants and the like. They were afraid that the village was going to be trampled by the rocks that were falling from Otouto Mountains. As he approached the base of the mountain he could hear the rumbling. So he started to climb his way higher on the mountain, only to see the rocks trying to pummel down the side of the mountain. As a rock that was about half the size of his body came at him, He simply tried to punch through it. Big mistake. It would cause his hand to just lose the tension of the balled fist. He swerved his body and side stepped to avoid flying down the mountain with the rock.

Wait, what the hell had just happened? Did he seriously just get beat by a freaking rock? With that, Rai got a look of anger on his face. His feet would get pools of chakra gathered underneath them. He seemed to move twice as fast as before. Almost leave an afterimage of where he just was as he appeared infront of where that same rock was. He would draw his right hand back and then lung it forward, splitting the rock in half. All of the remains of it crumbled around him.

After that, he would have to make progress of his footing on the mountain. He would look like a small, almost colorless blur as he progressed up the mountain. Moving back in forth in a zig zag like pattern. As he came up on another medium sized boulder he would crouch down slightly. He would kick out and then bring his leg skyward. Causing the boulder to go flying up in the air. Simultaneously he would have to leap in the air to avoid a boulder that was about up to his knee. He would push off of it to get more air, coming up to the level of the one he just kicked into the air.

As he got up high in the air, he would come up with a front flip. Bringing a heel drop ontop of the large rock, it split in half like a knive cutting through butter. It caused him to be lined up face first with the ground in a swan dive. No real way to straighten himself out. He was falling directly in the trajectory of the next boulder rolling down the mountain. If he didn't do something this could get slightly messy.

Giglamesh was getting close to where the rocks seemed to keep coming from, so he should soon be able stop this. He was still angerly mumbling to himself, but he was finally beginning to pick up his pace, he was now sprinting up the mountain pass. As the first rock came rolling at giglamesh he would simply leap directly at it with his left elbow out and left hand in a fist useing his right hand to push against his left fist to support the impact. As it hit it was like giglamesh's arm simply sank in to the rock cracking it deeply, then as he would violently rip his arm out it would cause the rock to crumble further in to a big pile of small pieces. He would leap over the pile and keep going but before he got a chance to move any further, another rock was tumbling at him. giglamesh would lash out his right hand not as a fist but keeping is finger straight out, he would actually bring his finger to the rock in this way. Then surprisingly his fingers actually created fissures in the rock, and it was no more than a instant after giglamesh would then cure his fingers in trusting his hand in to the rock, performing the three inch fist. As the three inch fist hit the rock would literally explode in to nothing more than dust. Giglamesh would then run threw it and keep heading up the path, at the point up the mountain it was beginning to get steep but he would keep running up it. Then the largest rock seen would hit the ground and begin to roll at giglamesh, which he would leap high in to the air flipping forward incredibly fast because he tucked up like a ball to flip faster. Right before he would hit the rock giglamesh would extend his right leg straight and right before he would hit the rock he would violently swing his right leg down as hard as he would in to the top of the rock, using a heel drop the it was like a axe as giglamesh foot literally cut the rock down to the surface of the ground, then the rock would explode in to dust. Giglamesh would shake and brush the dust off him and begin running full speed once again. but he was just running full speed at a wall? then slightly before he reached the steep mountain he would leap incredibly high in to the air and cling to the wall and begin climbing up even further.

Giglamesh would keep digging his hands and feet in to the wall scaling the straight vertical wall, He was scaling it quite rapidly like a mad man running on his hands and feet across the floor, but he was going straight up. Then suddenly a large boulder would be tossed from over the top of the wall, giglamesh knew it was thrown as it wassent spinning sombody was out to try and stop giglamesh from getting to the top. It was falling right at giglamesh would would plant his hands and feet firm and jump to his left side incredible hard and try to grab on as rocks passed. The rock passed as he evaded it, but as giglamesh landed the rocks he grabbed on to slipped and he only hand a hold with his left arm, he dangled for a second before he was able to reach his right hand up to get a better hold, then replacing his feet on the wall surface. He had to hurry to reach the top as as he got closer to the top there would be less and less time to evade as he got closer. He would continue to scale the wall at a tremendous speed, from time to time he would slip but he would quickly replace his grasp and continue as if nothing happened. Then it was about that time again another rock was tossed from over the top it was close he pushed down and readied to jump but the ground under his feet broke so he could not jump so he basically froze as the rock quickly approached him. The rock would seem to smash right over the top of him and keep going, but giglamesh still kept hold with his left hand in his right he wielded shirotsuki the blade pointing down. Giglamesh would resheathe his katana and begin climbing again....how exactly did giglamesh evade the ro.....suddenly the rock would split up the center in a pan out view from giglamesh as he was starting to climb again, he had cut it in half as to separate it from hitting him.

"...Yokou-dono?" Shinratsu sweatdropped, as he glanced at the disgruntled Sannin before him. No answer. Hyuuga Yokou almost angrily stopped just to kick a sitting boulder, the heel of her boots making a loud THUMP as it connected with the surface. Shin raised his voice, and asked again. "Are you really sure that you are alright, Yokou?"

Shin swore he could see a veinpop appear at her temple.

His memory rewinded, to this particular morning, when Yokou was teaching him a lesson about chakra control... When suddenly, she was dragged off (rather unceremoniously) by a happily humming Hokage. Shin remembered the pang of pity, for her and the scowling Nara dragged by the collar (courtesy of Zephyr's other hand). Shikamori was still holding his breakfast, a bowl of cereal, which apparently his sensei had so discourteously ended (early).

"Perfectly fine..." Came the grumbled reply. Getting angry wouldn't make this progress any faster, anyways...

Shin briefly wondered if she knew that her discontent was practically etched on her face. But then he shook the thought off. He had to admit...it was kind of amusing... Of all the people that has a natural talent for igniting the Hyuuga queen's fury...the Hokage certainly excelled in that point. While Zephyr and Shikamori had headed off to another part of the mountain, with the Hokage cheerfully blabbering something about a rock smashing spree (while the Nara next to him did not look at all pleased), Shin sweatdropped (expression: =_=) as the unhappy aura around Yokou darkened a notch. Yeah...Zephyr will probably (most likely) be ok. Unfortunately. But as for the Nara... Shikamori will hopefully alright...as long as the Senju didn't decide to use the Nara as a shield...

So yes, that was how it ended up...now that he had to participate in building some kind of trench to stop an upcoming avalanche... Or so, at least according to the paper Zephyr was waving in front of Yokou's face. Personally, Shinratsu was glad...heck, he wouldn't know what to do if Zephyr had decided for him to be the partner. Actually, he did have a choice of which part of the mountain he wanted. Well, it didn't make Shikamori's job any easier...and even this... His assignment was to create a trench. And Yokou wasn't allowed to help him, though she kept her Byakugan up, on the lookout for any incoming rocks.

Oddly enough...what on earth was Zephyr talking about, that the base of the mountain was less dangerous...? Shin had to admit Yokou (next to him muttering darkly), had a good point. Gravity and Newton's stupid law of inertia would make the rocks hurl down at insane speed. Also, she was not exactly the best choice in these strength-challenging engagements... And if Yokou used Kaiten to shield incoming rocks at herself...he will be caught in it too. From beneath the frown, Shin could read elements of insecurity. She was thinking...beforehand plan of what to do when a boulder does come crashing done.

So thus it was settled: she keeps a lookout for incoming boulders, while he tries to figure out how exactly how to wield these...most cumbersome tools...in order to dig a deep enough trench, so that it is effective enough... Shinratsu attempted to pick up the first shovel. "..." It wouldn't leave the ground. So, he moved on to the next shovel. "..." This time, the smaller tool left the ground about halfway. No good. If he was to be digging for a while...he needs something wieldable. The third shovel...

Perfect. Shinratsu thought, as he lifted the spade easily. But now, he has a bigger problem.

Shin glared at the ground, kicking it in experimentation.

It was SOLID rock, dammit.

Lifting the shovel... THUMP. Trying again...

After several times of failing to even scratch the ground, Yokou stopped sentry outlook for a moment, her eyes returning to normal, and she taught him a variation on chakra control.

"I don't believe your problem here is strength...you're wielding the shovel fine, but the force isn't enough. But if used correctly, chakra can also be applied to strengthen solid compositions. You might not be able to increase your strength right away..." She had said. "But you certainly can increase the effectiveness of your weapon." While it was a fairly advanced principle, enhancing weapons with chakra, Yokou trusted that the boy would be able to figure out her meaning.

What could she mean...? Shinratsu glanced at the shovel. Yes, he had witnessed weapon masters back at his own village use chakra to strengthen their blades... However, normal weapons...well, metal didn't conduct chakra so well. That was why most blade-based were Raiton affinity. But there was no other option... So Shin tried it, took a long strand of hair and wrapped it around the blade's length... Trapping and keeping chakra in non-living things were difficult. But if he uses an organic medium, better yet... A part, coming from the source (him) and Shinratsu pinpointed his Fuuton type chakra to wrap around the blade of the shovel and thrusted the blade into the soil. This time, the shovel cracked the hard topsoil. Shinratsu pushed his body weight forward, so that the crack widened to a fissure.

A good start.

Hm...interesting... Shin thought, as he took a closer look at the ground. Even though it appears to be solid...past the harder topsoil that he cleared away with the shoveling tool, the lower portions of the earth, while still rocky, was normal... Rich soil too. Which was a rather rare occurance, in the mountains with so little vegetation. But then, there are fungi and different types of rock grown lichen, and also the hardier weed-type plants: like the dandelion. That along with other organic material: the dead corpses of scorpions, spiders, insects... All of this, along with the occasional seeds dropped by birds, created a type of rich humus soil layer.

Shin frowned. But, while this could potentially make digging easier... This would also put considerable drawbacks on his method of approach. Yes, with the soil less difficult to dig through, even he could possibly create a decent trench. However...a sturdier trench should be lined with some kind of material to prevent it from collapsing. Even in mines, miners set up wooden arches to prevent the tunnel from caving in. He sifted his fingers through the soil. Just as he thought. If it was a trench that was simply just dug, the sides will inevitably cave in: the soil was moist in some areas but dry in others...a trench would not hold.

So what if dug deeper... What if he dug deeper, past the thin layer of humus soil, until he can reach actual bedrock? A frown played on his lips as Shin fingered his clan's protective gauntlets. He could use Hyouton...first allow water molecules to permeate the rock and then freeze them, to expand the rock... However, the control would be more challenging: a lot more exact and trickier...as the purpose would not be to attack a general thing but a specific point... A cold bead of sweat formed at his temple. However, even if it would be the only chance he'll have...

Even if it was the only chance, he should probably save all his chakra last: for the finishing touches on the trench. Or otherwise...that's right...once he's done digging, he can alternatively freeze the sides of the trench so that it doesn't collapse. And the problem of a stable trench will be solved...! So engrossed in his work, Shinratsu didn't notice...

"Watch out boy!"

Giglamesh was getting closer and closer to the top of the mountain platform of which the rocks seemed to keep coming from, he knew with his luck a rock would be coming soon so he was climbing like a mad man. Giglamesh arms looked like wheels as he climbed up the final stretch of the mountain, then he made it he would left hand would grasp the ledge of the top and he would pull up hard to hop over the edge slightly. Only to see a boulder coming at him fast, giglamesh would react quickly and trust his left foot back and right forward to literally punt the rock away back in the direction of which it came. The was a odd noise made from something as the rock had hit something, giglamesh landed really close to the ground feet spread and left hand on the ground right back and he observed the scene. There was what looked like a badger or something digging a hole, and with the extra soil it would make balls of rocks and toss them over the edge. Giglamesh would stand and begin to walk over. "HEY...SCAT GET OUTA HERE!"

the badger would freeze and look back to the tall man in white coat. "Oh s**t im caught....im out of here WHOOP!" It would poof in to a cloud of white smoke, and just like that it was gone poofed nowhere to be seen.

giglamesh had a confused look on face, ...Was that a summon? giglamesh was confused and would begin to shrug it off untill. He eye would get the size of a orange and he would dive in to the hole the badger made. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Giglamesh was literally around in a small pit of pure gold, what was the badger doing...giglamesh didnt know or no longer cared he was rich...er! Giglamesh would begin to shove chunk after chunk of gold in to his pockets, shoving everything he had full of the unprocessed gold ore, they entire time with a huge coy grin on his face.

When he finally had it all picked up he would walk to the edge of the mountian and yell from the ledge. "IM KING OF THE WORLDDDDD!!!!" Any body that was down below would recognize this as giglamesh's voice yelling from the peak. then as fast as giglamesh had climbed the moutian he would decide to climb back down it faster. He would get the last boulder the badger made and toss it over, and jump atop it riding it down to bottem of moutian. As it hit the bottem giglamesh would turn the oppsite way and begin to run full speed. This rock litteraly being to squal like a peeling out tire untill it finaly began to move ten times faster than any of the other rocks moved before, meanwhile giglamehs was on top of it jacket buttoned gold sticking out of pockets and opening in coat. The rock would quickly make its way right at raisuke, when giglamesh would jump back flippin off it it as his foot came around he would kick the rock pulverizing it in to dust. He would land next to rai and keep running right on past, with just enough time for rai to proably see him with arm's and pockets full of pure gold ore. Giglamesh would keep running back down and hop right over shinratsu's wall, most with again just enough time for him to see his pockets and arms full of pure gold. and just like with right he would keep going right past back to the village.

Too late. Shin was too busy analyzing the humus layer, pleased with having rid at least the topsoil, that her warning never reached his ears until... What on earth! The mountain side was trembling! And then Shin saw it...a giant boulder rolling down, RAPIDLY, towards them. He winced instinctively, shutting his eyes. By no fault of his either...the boulder was HUGE. Good lord, it gained speed and momentum as it progressed... Shin fully expected the boulder to connect except...

"Y-yokou!"

She had managed to get him safely out of the way. They may had escaped the brunt of the hit...but Yokou had gotten injured. It was a scratch compared to what might've happened, but the rock had torn the sleeves of her clothing, and left wounds on her arms. The Sannin looked at abrasive wounds over her arms, through tears the rock inflicted on her clothing, and dismissively shrugged. Instead...

"Pay attention." She reprimanded. "If you don't you could get killed." A long pause. "Stop looking at me like that..." She rolled up her sleeves. "See? It's better this way too..." Her voice trailed off. "Since you know very well just about compatible you are with medical Jutsu..." She had a point. Healing Shinratsu will be something akin to a double-edged sword...

The relief must've shown on his face when Shin saw that there was no wounds...wait! There was, and one was just about closing up when she did so... Shin's hands gripped tightly around the shovel. He casted his gaze down. Yokou might've been able to heal her wounds...but she couldn't hide the tall-tale signs of blood.

Stupid Zephyr.

Annoying, annoying Senju... While Shin himself may have preferred for some constitution training, he didn't want it like this! If it should be that type of work, it should be him getting the injuries...rightfully proudly bored scars... Not having himself defended by a too generous woman. She could've used Kaiten...she wouldn't have gotten injured then... But instead, she chose to protect him... Her speed had saved him from getting crushed.

Shin bit down the memory of his mother...her last act on earth...

When he looked up, his face was expressionless...but his eyes were steely with determination. "I'll finish this."

The quicker he finish too, the less likely someone would get hurt. Shin began attacking the soil with a newfound strength - and fury.

And Yokou...she still kept sentry outlook but didn't stay too far from him this time.
