@ Boss - Thanks, this sometimes poet does try.
@Rad - I didn't mean my post to seem that I was being disrespectful to those whose lives were lost and irrevocably changed that day... For me, I don't keep tragic events in mind and their anniversaries, because if I did that I'd get into a deep spiral of depression that would be near impossible to escape. I'd either hide in my room with the window blocked, or try various forms of escapism. I was driving home from running errands after a long day at work, and there was a man by the road. His cardboard sign said that he had gotten stranded and was willing to work for money for a bus ticket home. I was so touched that I nearly bawled. And then I wouldn't have been able to drive and would've caused an accident. I thank the Lord for all my blessings in life, and I often feel tied and unable to directly help people like that, because of the possible threat to a young woman, alone. I feel things very deeply, and if I constantly kept such upsetting things in mind I wouldn't be able to function. But I'll never forget, not really.

I think 1337 means that he forgot that it happened on 9/11. It reminds me about a song that 1337 was listening to. It was a christmas song. he even sang along with it but it took him a few months to figure out that is was a christmas song. It even repeted the saying "lets have a christmas, very merry christmas." He didn't realize it till I told him.

Radjulon I don't quite understand how anyone who was above the age of five during 9/11 could not remember the importance of the date confused I have to agree. It really affected my family because it's my sister's birthday and I remember coming home to find her crying (I don't see her cry very often, even back then)

Anyone got any ideas for how to get a super picky 5-year old to try new foods? One of my nieces is infamous in my family for being a picky eater. One claim she made is that she tried a chicken drumstick and it tasted like rotten meat. *sigh* I don't know where she gets her ideas from... I asked her if she had ever had rotten meat, but logic doesn't mean much to a 5-year old. She's got the usual tricks of kids - tears, calling people mean cause we don't give her what she wants (mainly cookies and other sweets), and temper tantrums. xp Too bad I can't just put food in her mouth and stroke her throat to make her swallow...

New item thingy thing is up... nothing I really care for. Dragon scales would be a pain and probably itchy. The staff is weak and my scythe is better anyway.

Behold! The glory of Nature: animal, plant, mineral... um, did you eat the dirt? I must say, nothing has made me grin until my skin cracked like the glorious leaves!! But I must ask - what does she wear when summer fades and all the leaves have died?? *laughs manically and leaves*
idea (note: pun spontaniously intended)

I want the fur to complete my reindeer self, but..I'm not sure if I want to other thingy or not, cause it's one of those things where you'd have to have 3 or 4 of them to be really cool
