Once in the room, Eldin sat on the couch and flipped channels, not interested in any of this dramatic crap that was on. Sighing, he finally stopped at some reruns of a show about a hospital and a sarcastic doctor with a cane. He smiled and chuckled softly at the jokes, but made sure to keep the sound quite low, barely audible for human ears.

For the most part, he was glad that no one was in the kitchen with him to see how calm he was. It was weird that this big, bad and evil slash scary demon was calmed when either cooking or cleaning. Of course he didn't have a punching bag or a really good mission to do to let everything out.

The two were both calm for a while, but a call from Rave's cell phone brought both of them to reality. Blinking, Eldin looked around for the source of the simple ring tone, but realized that someone must have charged it in the kitchen. "Why there?" He blinked again and went into the kitchen, ignoring Monty as he looked at the ID, shocked. Kal "Marcessa..." He looked at the time and saw that it had been a little over twenty four hours. There was no way that he got his voice back that fast... Right? Eldin didn't pick it up but made a note to tell Rave about it as soon as he woke up. Rave would want to know this.

Monty ignored the phone that was ringing and ignored Eldin as he walked in to get it. But that one thing he didn't ignore was the name of Kalore being said. He almost stopped to look over his shoulder that the young elf but reminded himself that he and Kalore were not on good terms and that he didn't care, even though something inside him told him differently. Continuing to cook, he looked over at Eldin with a bored expression. "Would you mind putting that phone on silent? I like the quiet in the mornings." He said.

Eldin shrugged, "It's not my phone. I'll put it on low, but Sir Rave might have it on for a reason, I don't know." Putting it on the lowest setting, and making sure that the vibrate wouldn't go off, Eldin got himself some more water and went to leave. His thoughts were going crazy though seeing as he didn't even notice that the phone rang again. Once again, it said, Kal.

Monty looked at the pancake that he was making, which was thankfully not burned but his mind was revolving around why Kalore would be calling. Mentally slapping himself he wanted to throw himself off the cliff for thinking such a stupid question. Of course the elf would call to tell them whether or not he got his voice back. He hoped the elf got it back. If that Eri didn't then he was going to rip his voice out and give it to Kalore personally.
Glowering at the pancake he went ahead and made some another one. Why would he do that? He wasn't supposed to care about Kalore but he did. Then again, the thought of Kalore anywhere with Eri made him burn with anger. He couldn't stand that elf. He didn't care where Kalore was or who the elf was with as long as it wasn't with Eri or anything close to being a Eri-wannabe.

After a few more minutes, the phone rang again, and again... and again. Whether it was Kalore or not, whoever it was really wanted to talk to someone; Probably Rave seeing as it was his phone. Growling softly, the man on the end of the other phone just dialed and called again. He had to talk with his Rave... He just had to.

Monty finished cooking the pancakes, seeing as he finally burned a few with the distraction of Kalore calling and well, he shouldn't care damnit. He growled and stepped away from the oven before he made it burst into flames and have the elves scared that the demon was finally losing it and going to end up killing them. That wouldn't sit well with Gambler, seeing as she practically adored Rave and liked him so much. Why kill her happy when he was a miserable demon?

The phone wouldn't stop ringing, but even though it was on it's lowest level and not on vibrate, even Monty would have to notice it sooner or later. Until the man got someone to talk to, he wasn't going to stop calling. It didn't help Monty though, that Eldin was hugging a pillow, having fallen asleep on the couch during the show. And Rave wasn't getting up any time soon.

Was it just him or was there a ringing going on? No, it wasn't him. It sounded like that blasted phone was still ringing and that no one was picking it up. That was pissing him off. He growled lowly and walked into the living room to find that Eldin was sleeping. He had the mind to wake the elf up and make him answer the damn thing. Why he wouldn't do it was for a good reason. Kalore hated his guts, so why ruin his happy too?

The phone continued to ring, but Eldin also continued to sleep. The boy seemed at perfect peace, his dreams offering reassurance that no one in the waking world could give him. There was too much going on for Eldin, and the poor boy had only been there for about a month. That just wasn't enough time to properly adjust to such a new place where things happened much too often for Eldin to properly react. The phone kept ringing.

Monty growled lowly again, getting pissed off at the ringing sound, taking the electronic and walking into the kitchen. He answered the phone with a growl, realizing that he just did something really stupid. He answered the phone when it was Kalore calling and that was stupid on his part and letting his temper get the better of him. "Hello?" He growled, not really meaning to this time to be mean.

"There you are! Damnitt, I've been trying to get a hold of you for the past half hour!" The voice then paused, "Wait...did you just growl at..." The soft musical voice was impossible to not recognize. It was one that had been gone for weeks as the people tried to get it back. "Monty?"

Holy hell! Kalore had his voice back! And that fast?! That was impossible. This was some kind of sick joke. It had to be. Eri was mimicking Kalore's voice to make everyone have peace of mind that the elf was okay but really he was tied up in a basement, gaged and about to get molested. Okay that was a bit much but it was possible.
Monty opened him mouth to say something but nothing came out. He was in shock that it was Kalore's voice. Then it hit him, now that he had his voice confrontations were going to be even worse.

At the other end of the phone line, Kalore just stared at the phone, unable to comprehend why in the hell Monty was talking to him through Rave's phone. "I don't get it..." he muttered. "Kalore!" Looking up, he saw that it was time for another treatment. His voice was back, but not permanently. If they weren't careful, then it would go back into the way it was, but it wouldn't be fixable. They were still pushing that week long limit, but Eri made a promise, and just like all elves, he was true to his word. Without saying bye to Monty, he hung up the phone and went back to work.
