(hey guys i just got a new computer, but im to lazy to go down to my basement to plug it in so im still on my ds tonight.)  orochi smiled and placed his hand over the lock. he clutched the paper firmly and began repeating the word in his head over and over. "oonliese oonliese oonliese" the lock glowed and he started focusing on the lock again and squeezed the paper. a key suddenly appeared in his hand beside the paper, nothing fancy, but orochi was just happy to have actually done it. the boy didn't hesitate to slide the key in and turn it causing the lock to pop open "wohoo!" he shouted enthusiastically holding up the lock. alabaster walked between the desks checking on the student's progress. "very good suwako, dev as well, and yes anything with an aduequete security system or seal will be beyond the abilities of most non spellcasters, this is meant to simply help you get into your own locks." he said answering his question. he stopped by utsuho and peered down at her lock. "don't get discouraged, its natural for a technology based being such as yourself to have difficult with magic." he said trying to out her at ease, something he rarely did. he looked over orochi, taur, and cielle's work and nodded in approval. "very well done everyone" the teacher stopped at maru's desk and lifted up her intricately designed key. "while the design shows alot of skill it should be noted that pad locks tend not to have such elegant keys, remember that you should allways consider what your going to open and forge your key accordingly. most of the time an old rusted looking key will fit better than an over complex one. also if your going to go through the trouble of making a key, it would be best to actually use it." he said refering to the fact that she opened her lock with her mind instead of using the key, which was pretty much the exact opposite of what she was supposed to do.

After a while Utsuho finally got the key to work well almost the lock did open the key she used didn't look like a key more than a chunk of metal that had the right prongs to open the door
"Well I got it open let's hope I never forget my keys" She thought to herself

xX Shadow Void NightwalkerXx  Shadow sat there quietly as Dev, Orochi, Taur and the new girl maru gave thier introductions. He gave them a good deal of his attention the moment they stood up for his curiosity for new people never ceases whether they are friend or foe. Either way, they were new classmates to the school and he had no word to speak except the tone of his own silence. As they took their seat, Alabaster went on with the next lesson on practical applications. At first Shadow was confused when the subject was about keys, but things began to go clear from the purpose of the lesson. Shadow didn't plan on integrating or socializing with human worlds or any other for the matter, but he didn't stray away since he knew the possibility he could hear something useful for a time of need when in a situation. After explaining the meaning of the key, Alabastor's statement concluded that this was no ordinary key but a charm to help magically unlock locks. Knowing there are different lock in the world there are multiple charms to know which key to use. " I see so this spell is kinda like a skeleton key", he though to himself as the Pad lock and paper appeared before him and the execution word for the spell appeared on the chalk board. From the way the situation seemed, there were two way to do it. One was to use magic and the other was use it on paper. " I could just lock pick it. But on the other hand, there are different keys with different limitations just like the amount of different locks. I guess this trick can be useful", he thought as he slowly placed his hand toward the lock. For a moment, he became hesitant on using magic since he can only use it with his dark power which has been acting up lately. But with his spirit arms in hand, he thought he could time it just right to suppress it after executing the spell. He tries to focus very gently on a tiny portion of his dark power as he slowly mutters," oonli-.....ergh". Shadow suddenly get cut off as the power in his hand suddenly began to quiver with fear as he halted himself form going any further. He quickly takes a deep breathe and begins writing down the spell on paper as if nothing just happened. He irritant grinded his fangs silently. He holds the paper firmly between his two fingers. Once Alabaster explained the second step, Shadow followed through as he concentrated on the word. Just as the lock began to glow, the information began to form in his paper as he continues to concentrate on the word. He then repeated the process to form the key in his hand. But without warning, the key pops and bursts into dark blue flames in his hand like a firecracker. Shadow flinches back as the flame quickly fades away. He looked at his bloody hand from the fragments of the key slashing it up upon its shattering. " I cant even use an indirect spell", he thought as he sighes in disappointment with his whole body quivering in shock. But was it the sight of his injured hand that filled his eyes with dread.

(I don't get why you just HAVE to show that your character has such great and dark powerful magic inside him by explaining it in great detail in practically EVERY post you make. It's like you cant resist to tell us that your character can blow up the world with his incredible powers. )

(Im not intending to, its just how the situation was laid out. And its the way i like to rp ok. Im not competing or showing off. I just want to have fun. And arent you over exaggerating?)
(If you have problems with it then you dont have to have you character notice me or pay attention. Im only writing whats happening and thats it. Nothing more.)
(But fine, if its bugging you so much then ill edit it. But just so you know, I only want to get my story down so the stage can get set.)

(children calm down its just keys. if shadow wants to over state everything that is fine, as long as you realize shadow that others find that annoying and choose to accept that they're going to complain about it. so basically either stop or let circuit b***h as much as she wants. a fair compromise i think.....oh you don't understand how satisfying it is to get that typed out in less than two minutes......so sastifying)

(first congrats on having a computer Pdragon
second I guess in the terms of posts, if Shadow is going some where with his inadvertent displays for power then it's ok to show that he has little control over it.
It's good to show your characters flaws every now and again, this lesson was a great way for me to show the differences in my 3 characters.
But I do see Circuit's point you tend to mention your lack of control quite abit and honestly I tend to skim threw your posts sweatdrop )

And Circuit, I know we all find large blocks of text annoying. Especially when roughly two solid paragraphs revolve around one topic. But that's Shadow's RPing style. Yes, we don't expect a purely literate person in this RP, since.. Well.. If that happened, I'm sure most of us would bang our heads at the possible length of the posts. But... The RP style is something we have to deal with. Annoying? Yes. Impossible? No.
So... we have the right to rant, but the RPer has the right to choose their style. I mean, pdragon snaps at things he finds irksome. That's fine. Let out some steam, adjust some things, and get things rolling. So.. This is all just a damn phase.
Now... I just came home from school. It's 7PM. Oyasumi Nasai. :3

Yui woke up and glanced at her clock slowly. A sudden scream escaping her lips as she realized she was late. She had just transferred here and already she was missing class. Running around her room to try and get ready, stumbling several times.
"Ow ow ow"
She winced, staring daggers at the chair that had tripped her. Such an evil thing... She should get a new chair soon anyway. This one was old and beat up.
Shaking her head, Yui shook the distracting thought form her mind. No! She had to get ready! Hopping to the door as she tried to get her last knee-sock on, she nearly fell again. Catching herself on the doors handle. Letting out a sigh of relief, Yui slipped into both of her shoes, slipped on her hat, and grabbed her bag.
Running at the door to her class, Yui slipped on the ground and fell onto her back. Letting out a small yelp as her back met the ground. What was with all this falling today?! Grabbing onto the handle of the door, she lifted herself up and walked inside.
"S-sorry I'm late..."
She said sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head.
"Oh! Maru!"
She said happily, waving to her friend as she winced yet again. She had fallen on her arm earlier and it still hurt slightly.
"Uhm..."
Biting her bottom lip, Yui glanced over to the teacher. Bowing slightly.
"I'm Yui . . . I just transferred"
She said quickly, not straightening herself from the bow until 30seconds after the introduction.

 MaruTheme Song - Maru looked up from examing her lock, she smiled her biggest but then frowned. She noticed her wincing. She sighned and waited her her to sit in th next desk beside her, wanting to ask her. She then grinned and thought that maybe yui could make both of us invisable, though Maru could do that herself, though today she was to tired and light headed. She nodded in aprovment that it would work. Maru and Yui will spy on the teacher and the other kids about what they talking about. She grinned her devlish grin and waited for Yui. (( OCC: ))

I was waiting on you to post so I could proceed, and due to the situation that means everyone else had to wait as well. This makes the stall YOUR fault, not our argument's. Then you completely ignored everything my character said to yours. Meaning all that waiting was for absolutely nothing. we could have been rping the last two days but I had to respectfully wait so you could get a chance to interact with the story, and for what? jack s**t. You know what Shadow may over explain things at times, but at least he doesn't ignore people and stays involved, he actually puts effort into it, some real thought. He doesn't just pick and choose who gets to be acknowledged and who doesn't. Shadow I apologize for anything rude I've said to your before. This experience has helped me realize that there is much worse that can be done than anything you ever have. Please accept my fullest apology.) orochi smirked when the teacher acknowledged that he did well and mentally gave himself a pat on the back. "I really did magic, I bet Patchi-sama would be really proud of me" He thought as he relocked and opened the padlock over and over again. However after about the fifth time the key snapped off in the lock. "Wah!?" .raised a brow as Shadow somehow managed to blow up his key. "well I can honestly say I haven't seen someone mess up the spell that badly before, that's something I guess. I'd recommend working on your control before attempting more spells, try meeting with Ms. Knowledge about it I'm sure she could help you. Oh and please head to the infirmary and get your hand checked out" he said plucking a small piece of shrapnel out of his collar. He glanced over at Utsuho and Orochi and shook his head. "try not to over do it on the spell, the key created is not supposed to be permanent and is prone to breaking if not handled carefully. Oh and miss Utsuho remember to keep a firm visual in your mind on what you want to create, If you focus intently on making a key the shape will reflect that." he glanced over his shoulder to see the new student bust into class late, luckily she quickly introduced herself so he didn't need to worry about that. "Miss Yui. A tad late don't you think? ohwell for a first offense you'll only get one day of detention, and I see you a friend of maru's, good. Maru while you two are in detention please fill her in on today's lesson. Whether or not she can use the spell in our next class will determine your grade for that day. so please don't forget it". he said snapping his fingers and causing a detention slip to appear in Yui's hand.
