"Well, your right about that but sometimes, it's best not to think about how old you are because it often times prevents relationships to happen. I mean, would you want to be with someone who was well past their prime, still looking good and able to hold their own but might die any moment? If you have lived as long as the boss and our friendly demon," He said "friendly" demon with sarcasum, "You wouldn't want to think about how old you are. It sometimes might hinder respect and nobody wants to work for a old lady who might kick that bucket. Oh dear, I work for a old lady who might kick that bucket." He blinked and chuckled.
Gambler was in the bath tub, nice and relaxed until her spidey senses alerted her that someone was talking about her and her age. How she figured it was beyond understanding but living with her group for such a long time, she knew when they might be talking about her and it was often very, very, very dangerous to call her old, fat, or ugly.

Another laugh and Eldin shook his head, "Well... I guess it's like our customs and things... We just think differently... Lord Kyin is... Quite old... But anyone would love to work under him. Same for Sir Rave." Eldin nodded to himself as he thought about Gambler, "She may be old, I don't know... But Miss Gambler doesn't look it nor does she act or look like she'll 'kick the bucket' any time soon..."

"Then thank the heavens that Gambler is does look or act old or is going to kick the bucket. Life would be boring without her. Anyways, if you would like, you can stay here until your home is built. It is being built right?" He asked, looking over his shoulder concerned at Eldin.

Blinking, Eldin thought about it and then nodded, "Um.. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that Miss Gambler said that they were being built... I think she said that..." Eldin thought it was right, but he didn't always know. "Thank you though, for the offer. I like it here." Another innocent smile, but Eldin had to stop it for a moment. "Um... I might have to go to Lord Kyin's this weekend though... But I might ask Sir Rave if he could speak with m'lord so that Miss Gambler doesn't loose two people like this..." Eldin didn't think that it would be good for her or for them being in the group.

Joker shrugged. "I don't think she would mind. Since it's only fair that you both do your own thing, I think she would be happy that you have something to do until she goes back to the office. It's hard to have any jobs when the city is this quiet which is why all of us end up having some sort of job as normal citizens. Like the Twins, they are in school and I run the main hospital." He said, sitting down with another bowl of noodles and eating it. "Your very formal, aren't you?" He asked, noticing Eldin using the word "m'lord."

"E-Eh?!" Eldin looked a little panicked as he blinked multiple times, "I-Is that bad? I-I'm sorry if it is... I'll try to fix it, s-...Joker..." He blinked and looked down slightly, sighing. Eldin was extremely formal, as was Rave. Any of the elves, other than Kalore, who had had any real exposure to the royal courts or things like that were. It was just tuned into them to be like that. Even Dusk was extremely formal, almost as formal as Lord Kyin.

Joker laughed and shook his head. "No, no, no. It's fine. I was just asking. I haven't met anyone elses who was formal. Other than that demon in that shed of course. It's been a long time since I hear it. You don't have to fix it. It's nice to know that it hasn't died." It wasn't a bad thing as much as it was a interesting thing to hear.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Eldin smiled at him, "Most elves actually aren't all that formal, though respect and honesty are huge with us. I've never met an elf that could truly lie, even the late King and Prince." Eldin knew that they were both horrible beings, but neither ever lied. "Um... But no... It's not dead. Even Lady Cecili-... Lady Dusk... Can be formal. Though Sir Rave claims that she doesn't remember any manners..." A small smile was on the boy's face as he took another bite of the noodles.

Joker shrugged. "I think Dusk is formal. At least she is with me and perhaps not with Rave." He chuckled. "Those two seemed to be at odds so I can image that Dusk acts rude around him." He shrugged again. "The most formal out of all of us is Monty and then me. Gambler is formal when she has to be but after that she's informal and treats everyone as if she's known them since the sandbox, as she puts it."

The boy rubbed the back of his head, "I really don't know on that... Kalore says that they are actually really close... But I don't know... All I've ever seen of them is that fight and Sir Rave as a guard. I didn't know Lady Dusk all that well, seeing as she's only a bit older than me." Eldin shrugged, "But... Oh well. I guess that only they would know..."
"Know what?" Looking to the door, Eldin blinked as a tired looking Rave was seen, "Sir Rave! Um.. We were talking about D-" "No offense, Eldin... At the moment, I need to sleep." With a nod to Joker, Rave sighed and began his way to the back rooms, going to the one that Kalore was in before. "S-Sir Rave..."

Joker gave Eldin a look that told him to back off Rave. "If you need more blankets and pillows, please feel free to ask. Gambler's in one of the rooms so if you need to use the shower I'll get you some towels and fresh clothes." He called out and looked at Eldin. "No hard feelings but the man has been through enough. You can talk to him when he's not looking like he's about to fall from exhaustion."
Gambler was out of the bath tub and dried up, in a nice soft robe. She had the bathroom door open and was brushing out her unruly hair. She was thinking about putting it in a braid before she got in the bed to sleep but she couldn't because her mind was anxious for Rave to come back safe and sound.

"I know, Joker..." A mature Eldin was shown now, "I'm worried... But I know to leave him alone..." He had been through enough. As much as people loved Rave, he didn't have many true friends; Most people were too scared or awed to come anywhere near enough to really get to know him. Kalore was one of the only friends that the man had, and to give him up like that... Eldin sighed as he finished off the noodles, getting up to wash the bowl.

Joker nodded and stood up. "Oh no you don't. Go rest up yourself. I'll clean up. Shoo." He said, motioning for Eldin to move away. It was at the this point in time that Monty came in, ignoring Joker and Eldin, to make himself food. He would have done it in his shed but he needed to get the electric work done before that happened. Which would take him a while. Good. He needed a project to keep his head focused on something. Joker ignored Monty and looked at Eldin. "Now out you. Go rest up. You might not have something to do but the Twin's are coming over so they might want to play video games with you for a while. Hopefully your up for it."

At first Eldin was objecting, "B-But... I just woke up a few hours ag-..." But he stopped once Monty came in. Without giving the demon a single glance, Eldin took a small glass of water and went straight to one of the back rooms, stopping only to look back and ask if Joker had any books he could read. After he got them, Eldin went to one of the spare rooms, quickly avoiding the demon.

Joker glowered at Monty. "Nice going. You scared him away." He said and Monty didn't respond. "You know, it's not my place but you need to stop this nonesense. It's effecting everyone who isn't really involved." He said and Monty looked over his shoulder at Monty dangerously. "Perhaps it would be best if you shut your mouth about things you don't know about." "Your right, I don't know about anything but it's obvious what's going on. You need to set this straight before you ruin your life and the life of other's without even having a ill intent behind it." He said, and turned to wash the dishes. On that note, Joker was right about that.
