Jacob waited until the vampire was a few more steps ahead of him and raised his shotgun.
He aimed at the base of it's neck before firing, point-blank.

The vampire didn't give him a chance; just as he walked past, his ears twitched and he body-slammed Jacob against the wall.

"External. The REF doesn't affect machinery used externally, right? We can pump blood in one end and out the other. Simple as that. Like dialysis, but a complete replacement."

jacob threw up his hands as the vampire slammed, tossing his shotgun away on purpose.
He grabbed the vampire's shoulders in an attempt to cushion the slam.
He dug his thumbs into the vampire's brachial plexus tie-in. He wasn't sure if pressure points actually worked on vampires, but it was worth a shot.
He tried to get his right leg behind the vampire's and attempted to throw the vampire down. If he didn't go down easily, Jacob slammed a headbutt for his nose.

"An earth wall is simple." Sebastian rolled his eyes. "It's a bunch of earth. And that's it. Machinery is a whole different story. Plus, trapping them in a dome of earth with ontological inertia is a lot easier than interacting with an REF."

The shotgun tumbled away down the stairs. The pressure point was, indeed, working - the vampire winced until Jacob slammed him to the ground. Even supernatural strength couldn't provide supernatural balance, it seemed.

Samuel shrugged. "Honestly, I think that we should move as necessity demands, acquiring supplies and whatnot for whatever battle we may encounter. Since we just arrived, and seem pretty well prepared for combat, I honestly think we should advance on the Hunter's position. This is reinforced by the fact that we don't seem to be under attack, indicating that the Hunter's likely have one or members of their assault team incapacitated. Logically, this means we should push our advantage and turn the tides upon them. Fetching additional equipment would be the only reason not to do so. " He gave himself a quick lookover and shrugged. "Honestly, I'm as well equipped as I'm going to be, at least for my current abilities, so I'm heading," he nodded in the direction that Raphael had indicated earlier as the location of the Hunter's position in the facility, "thataway." Samuel started walking, talking without turning his head. "You don't have to come with me if you don't want to, but backup is always appreciated, and allows for the use of group tactics I could not use otherwise. In any case, onwards!" Samuel started up the familiar chant of the shield spell as he walked.

"If you're so sure, we can try," Josh replied. "We'll be heading this way, then." He tapped a wall twice and held his hands out at it. Darkness began to build up around his hands. Their section of hallway dimmed, even in the fluorescent-illuminated corners. "You, too, Linda?" he asked. Linda nodded and put a hand on her amulet. Sebastian dropped the wall and the two swept beams of light surrounded by darkness across the opening, cutting through the the hastily-erected barricades as well as the vampires, werebeasts, and warlocks behind them. "Let's go, then."

"Let's kill the Hunters, then?" Gertrude asked. Takeshi nodded and they followed Samuel. Presumably, Agnese did as well.
They came to the Hunter barricade, passing the armory, arriving at the back.
"So, uh. We smash through it somehow, or what?" Takeshi asked, indicating the stone wall to Samuel.
"I have it," Gertrude declared cheerily. She took a running start and dropkicked the wall. She fell to the ground. "Huh. Maybe I don't," she added, dusting herself off as she stood.

((Why can't it be done? We can make bullets, and a dialysis machine simulator wouldn't be that hard - one pump in, one pump out. Super simple. Right type of blood, no reason.))
