Storm shook her head, seeing he still didn't get it, still didn't understand what he had denied her.
"Because I saw my opprotunity to die, quickly, painlessly, wholly. Untainted. And I took it. It was just a coicendce that those shots were aimed for you."

Kibo: That still leaves the question: Who were you dying for the love of, then?

"Khazar, Zia, Maida, my lord god Rilifane. Misaki, Aubrey, and Shini. Ari, Teller and Truth. Take your pick. I die for those few I call family."

Kibo: Now how selfish is that? You die "for love of" them. They are not in danger. The only thing you were trying to die for was to get into your little heaven-place. Life becomes so much easier when you realize you know nothing. Now if you'll excuse me...
He sits up, pushing Storm off him effortlessly.
Kibo: That knee in my chest was quite uncomfortable.
Anita rises from the ground, and touches his broken wrist, healing it, before disappearing back into Kibo's rune marking.

Storm stared at him in a amzament. She restraines herself, bearly, from lunging at him again, and scratching out Kibo's rune markings.
"You still don't get it, do you? Why do you think these people are my friends? They are immortal and most might as well be gods. Khazar and I are the only ones, left, that can't travel Planes easily. He would have come with me."
She spat in discust.
"What do you know of me, anyway? Naught more then I allowed you to, and how do you even know what I present is me? Who are you to call a crow black, raven?"

While the argueing continued, the remainder of Ranu's crew were vanishing in bolts of both black and blue lights. They were being taken to Ranu's new ship.

Kibo rushes forward, snarling at Storm.
Kibo: I already know I'm selfish. And you don't think I hate myself for it?
He steps back, regaining some self control.
Kibo: But I've resigned myself to my nature. Just like I was being selfish in healing you. I didn't want to ******** lose you Storm. A rebellion, hell, I could follow you if I wanted. At least we'd have still been on the same plane of existence. But death is one place where I couldn't follow you. I don't care if you try to run me through with a sword every time we make eye contact. I don't regret my actions at all.

Storm scowled, and grabbed up her chainmail shirt and her normal shirt (both with holes now in them.) She held them low at her side, in one hand, glaring daggers at Kibo.
"Die a horrible death, ser, and may you gain pleasure from it, knowing that you will never see me again."
She turned and stalked away, her cloak held closed around her front more for a defensive sake, then modesity's.

Kibo: And where do you plan on going without your toys?
He holds up Golden Storm, which he had rescued from the whirlpool, and tossed it at Storm's feet.

Storm stepped over the ship without missing a stride. She spoke a word of power and the little toy burst into flames. Dimly, horrifed screams could be heard, crying out in terror, pain, and help.

Kibo snaps his fingers, and Storm's feet sink into their shadows, allowing her to continue walking, but without moving. He walks up to the moving-yet-not-moving Storm, sighing dejectedly.

Storm stopped trying to walk, seeing how it was pointless at this point. She folded her arms across her chest and waited for Kibo's speech and/or attack, weather it be verbal or physical.

Kibo walks in front of Storm, and stands silently for several moments. Then, with shaking fingers, he unties his belt, removing Mary Catherine, sheath and all, from it's place on the back of his waist. He stabs the sheath into the sand in front of Storm, and walks past her again.
Kibo: Here. Mary Catherine is my most prized possession. As much a part of me as the mouth that's talking to you right now. Good luck in your life. May that blade protect you like it did for me.
He snaps his fingers again, and Storm rises from the shadows. His back still turned towards her, he sighs and takes a few steps.
Kibo: I only wonder what happened to the Storm that kissed me that night so long ago in Tortuga.
Without waiting for a response, he resumes walking back towards Natasha, Ranu, and the others.

"She never lived."
Storm touched Mary Catherine, briefly, running her fingers over her runes of warding and defense. Drawing her dirk, she pried out all the enchanted gems from the blade, pocketed them and scratch out the runes. She walked away from the sword then, leaving it sitting in the sand behind her.

He grimaces as he hears the sound of metal against metal, but does not turn around. There was nothing left he could say. He tried to apologize in the most sincere and profound way he could, and she spat it back in his face. And along with the runes, she had scratched out any trust, caring, and respect Kibo had for her. She was once again a stranger to him. And Kibo felt alone, for the first time in years.
