Layna whimpered against his lips. She wrapped her arms around him, clamping her hands against his back. She didn't want to let him go. His words only tightened her resolve. She returned his kiss, as if this were a death's kiss.

Ceon kept on kissing her. He didn't want to go, but he knew what had to be done, wether it kills him or not. "Layna, know that I'll always be with you, no matter what happens to me. I'll come back with my shield on it."

Layna shook her head, crying against his chest. What would she do if he died? She shied away from the thought of being alone again.

"Layna....please be strong for me..please be strong for Gabriel. Gabriel needs you, and I'll do my best to come back. But please, be strong." Ceon began to wipe the tears from he cheeks, then ran his fingers through her hair.

She looked up at him, sniffing softly. "I-I just...don't know..." She murmured, disheartened. "But I will try..." She whispered, her voice shaking.

Ceon kissed Layna again, "I know you'll be strong. You always are." Ceon became startled as Gabriel began to cry in his room. "Do you want me to get him?"

Layna nodded slowly. "Yes, please..." She murmured, sniffing softly as she wiped her wet cheeks. She wanted to delay him leaving for as long as possible.

Ceon came came back with Gabriel crying loudly, his tiny hands grasping out in the air. Ceon held him close against him,rocking him gently, "I can't tell if he's hungry, or just lonely."

Sibyl came to Ceon's apartment, having memorized where he lived as opposed to actually having to track him down. She knocked on the door gently though she could hear that Gabriel was awake anyhow so she wouldn't be waking the baby up. He was crying fairly loudly, as was expected of a baby, perhaps he was a little collicy but no matter, it didn't bother her. "Ceon, Layna, Gabriel, it's Sibyl."

Ceon walked to the door and opened it slowly, then all the way, "Hey Sybil, please come in. I have something very important to tell you." Gabriel's cry quieted down to a small whimper, his face had became slightly red from his screaming.

Layna stared at her son and her mate. Would this be the last time they were like this? "I'm not sure." Her face was a bundle of different emotions, all fighting for dominion. "Sibyl? What's wrong?" She asked softly.

Ceon looked at the time on the clock in the kitchen, and a disheartened expression came upon his face. He kissed Gabriel on the forehead before handing him over to Layna. He kissed Layna passionately, "I'm sorry, love, I have to go." He slipped a letter into Layna's hand. "Open thisonly if I die." Ceon turned and put a letter into her hand. "Sibyl, you do the same." (exit)

Sibyl had been blanking out and not paying attention and hadn't realized that Ceon had come to the door. She let herself in and then decided to cut to the chase as she usually tended to do. "So what are you needing to tell me that's so important?" She had no idea what it was but if it was important then she definitely wanted to hear it. However, apparently Ceon had decided to leave and along with that, leave her hanging so that she wasn't able to know what it was he was wanting to tell her. She took the letter, wondering why the hell he'd give it to her only if he died.
The wolf was turning to leave the place, kind of in a hurry. She said goodbye to Layna as well as her Godson, which was still unknown to her and headed outside of the room. As she was journeying down the hallway, she felt a shock and gasped slightly as the breath was knocked out of her. For a few moments, she was rendered immobile and fought to keep herself together. The last thing she needed was to fall completely out of herself and be lost to nonexistence for eternity. "Yeah, yeah," she grunted as she slowly made her way through the hallway, "I'm coming ..."

Gabriel began to wail in his mother's arms as his father left. The feeling of security had dissapeared all around him. He clutched onto his mother's shirt and ouldn't let go.
