"Good to know that I take the boring out of your days when we go cross paths." Standing on her own now, she extended one wing, looked at it, and considered, then stretched the the other and gave a hop and w wing beat to put herself in the air. "We might as well at least get somewhere warm, lay in the sun a bit seeing as we're both wet and cold. We don't need to be getting sick at all now do we?"
And he was going to tag along. "Whatever, just don't get in my way and we'll be good." Did not need people holding her up. She had two people who were after this information and it needed to get done. And then look, dogs. Weren't they just so easily taken with Shyrae? She had that kind of flare on animals. Not that Savvy could see any of them. "Did you name them or do they jsut run around the city and someoen casually owns then?" Though her ears perked at a certain sloshing sound an some commotion coming from the lower level of the city. "What's going on down there..."
Lycear looked up at the tapping on the window, and then the voice in his head made him shake it. The Laerethe was in an upstart. The water was acting strange? Well if she was upset that was a big problem.
She knocked on the door, but let herself in. "Lord Lycear...you have to see this."
Well that confirmed things and he gave her motion to followed as he hurried down the tower. Soon enough, both dragons were landing at the band of the large lake that served as the water source and which over which the lowest level of the city was built over. "By the Orb..." The water of the lake had more or less turned into a whirlpool. Grabbing a rock he threw it in, watching how fast the current took it...and it seemed to only be getting fashion. It was certinally a danger to the homes and buildings built over it. "I want the lower level temperally evacuated...open up the guard housing, the tower, and any other building you can to accomodate. This was really bad and too dangerous for his liking.
"I dunno, do fish get tired?" Watching idly, before resting his arms arn head on the wall of the city play set. "Should we just let it go and see how long? I bet it lasts at least a few hours before it gets tired." Or until the shard fell out. That happened sometimes.

"Yes, if the Guard had an officer in charge of surprise elements, you would be promoted in no time." Oh Kaz and military oriented jokes... He really was hopeless sometimes. But he nodded and took to the air himself, following her back out of the cave and passageways and landing on the sandy overhang outside in the sun, shifting a bit to readjust to the temperature change. "No, getting sick would not fare well with our duties. Better?"

It didn’t take him long enough to find out what Shyrae's project was about, four loveable dogs and she was training them. "Well I gotta say they are trained well..." He said with a small smile before looking over at the two elves, though when he looked to Savvy he still remember her telling him to stay out of her way...so what was she going to do? Still it bothered him a little but th only way he could get rid of that feeling was by petting a dog, which he did. So as he petted one of the other dogs he looked at the drow and grinned. "So this is your project huh? I gotta say it looks like a lot of fun." A small chuckle to that as he scratched behind the dogs ears.
But at that moment, when Savvy asked out loud about something a group of words echoed through his head. Pressing his hand to his head Caden received what Eilynne broadcasted to all of the guards, shaking his head he looked to the others and then towards the lower level of the city. "Well someone just...told me that the water is acting up...I need to check it out." Duty comes before anything else after all. "I want you two to stay here...there is no telling what could happen." First an earthquake and now this? Raynes had to wonder what the hell was going on in the city, and who was doing it. So with a final pat to the dog he was with he took off, he needed to figure out what was going on and fast.
But when he reached the lower level he saw Lord Lycear standing there, quickly he rushed to his side and paused as he looked out to the lake. "Sir what is going on?" He asked staring down at the water in complete shock.

"No they're not. All they know is sit. Sundance is the only one who knows anything else." Had he not been listening? "I believe they're just strays. Sundance might be owned by someone around here and allowed to roam free or she may have been pushed out by her owner and became the leader of this crew because of her superior intelligence and training."
As if two young elves would actually listen to anything like that. She watched Caden run off and then looked at Savvy and blinked. Water was acting up? What did that mean precisely? A shake of her head and she grabbed Savvy's hand, pulling her. "Come on, let's go see!" She hurried in the direction the guards were beginning to race and then looked down as well. "Oh my...that's a whirlpool. Daddy mentioned those to me a few times...said they're nearly impossible to get out of." What were they going to do...?
Eilynne landed next to Lycear and reverted back to her original form. "I will help you in anything you request of me dragonlord. Sadly I cannot stop this...it is magic I do not recognize or understand. But that will be discussed later. How can I be of assistance?"

"Well, part of being a strategist is having the ability to pull a surprise when it is needed. I think it's a good trait to have for what I'm doing. I told you, I'm already on the game, he's just doesn't think I'm ready for the chance." And she'd probably be sleeping in barricks tonight for earlier. But she merely splayed wings and stretched lightly in the sun. Mmm, desert sun. "Much better. After all I'm wearing a lot less than you. Now come on, aren't you glad you agreed to spend the day with me, just think this is only the beginning too."
She blinked, looking up to Shyrae who had promptly grabbed her head. "Why do he still think that telling us to stay someplace means that we're going to do it?" Letting Shyrae lead and merely jacking the girl's own sight for the moment, catching a look at what was the cause of disturbance. "That's a really powerful one too...middle looks like it dips down quite a bit. Is that a filled lake or does the water rise from the ground like a spring? Maybe the bottom fell out..."
Lycear gave a look to Caden. Always the forward one. Though he noted his son wasn't about...he must of been out somewhere. "Assist with the evacuation and tag log of all who are being so. Find places for them to stay. You're in charge of that." Before turning his look to Eilynne. "Follow me, please." The dragon starting on the docks that made the ways between the buildings with the Laerethe. He was watching the water that rushed by underneath, searching for the middle of the whirlpool and thus heading for the middle of the lake. CLoser they got, the more the boards shook under them. "You were alarmed...yet this is not familiar to you? Things like this have been happening more and more...I fear it is cause of the Orb. Would you be able to sense that?"

Kronos was always a noisy person by nature, and like the other had overheard another guard close to he shop that he was walking out of saying something about the water acting up. He made his way quickly to the site, it seemed that buying that he had acquired that other item just in time to see the show. He now stood next to Shyrae, and sly smile on his face. "Now that looks nasty." he said in a voice which sounded almost like a laugh. He then turned and face Shyrae. "Glad to see that you are doing well." he said with a smile.

"And I said I would look into the matter for you but you refused. You have potential, Jae. You just have to find someone that can appreciate it." He lay as she did and rested the back of one hand on his forehead, squinting up at the sky for a moment before turning to look at her. "Backless tops are never recommended. Ice caves or otherwise." Not criticizing her, merely pointing out a fact. "And I am glad. I wonder how the city is faring though..."

Why is it that everytime he always ask a question he gets stuck doing something that would probably take forever to finish? Oh right it's his job. Still the look that Lycear gave Caden creped him out a little, it was like the guy didn't like him being there...then again there is a huge whirlpool just a couple of steps away. "Alright then." Gotta do what the Lord tells him to do, can't argue with it and can't give it to someone else, though he could order a few around which was good. So off he went grabbing a nice chunk of the guards that were there and gave them thier orders, in a few minutes people were being asked nicely to leave the area, didn't want someone drowning.
Though as Caden looked through the mass of people he spotted the elves again and sighed, seemed like some people didn't like to listen to him. So he made his way over and gave a small smile as he stopped in his tracks, seemed like Kronos arrived as well. "So it seemed you guys decided to come along huh?" He wasn't upset really but he did wished that they had listened instead, oh well can't have everything. "Well it was a waste of time sort of, gotta ask you to leave now...the whole place is being evacuated."

She smiled, it was nice to know that someone thought she could do things still. It wasn't fun someone telling you everyday that if you couldn't even walk without falling then you didn't deserve to have the plans of the Guard in your hands. "I could always just go pure inventor...open a shop or something." But she wanted bigger than that. "I think he's just afraid of being out of his job." A little shrug and then a chuckle. "I beg to differ...I don't have to get someone to help lace up the slits in the back of our clothing to accomodate our wings. Lace the collar and bottom in the back and I'm good." Giving a chuckle and then watching him a moment as his thoughts wandered back to the city that he so loved and protected. "Missing it already?"

And Hunter saw it..and noted his ship, and promptly jumped off the outerwall, catching the mast with one hand and neverminding the bloody ropeburn slid down it. this was why his ship went by sand and water. you needed water to get to the places of the city he needed to go to. which ment at the moment his ship was a toy in a draining bathtub.
"Port! hard to port! don't fight the damn current, just get us to the outer edge of the water..we'll coast off the side. like being thrown out of window. All hands amidships, half on the mainsail, too much wind will get us sucked further in."
and he went about ordering, his crew working as they were commanded, and that included her captain. this was his ship, not the sands, or the seas. His. and he wasn't going to lose her to anything no matter what powers that be.
"Get at it you dogs! I won't see my ship beaten by a little spinning water!"

"I have no idea. Apparently we're too sensitive or something?" A shake of her head and she turned in surprise to see Kronos. "Kronos! How lovely to see you again." Glancing back over the pool, she nodded. "It does look pretty bad. I'm not sure how it got started though, something had to have forced the current. It looks like it's getting bigger or deeper too..." Then turning to see Caden and she frowned, "You evacuated all of them that quickly?"
"Anything that occurs on your plane that has to do with Nature alarms me. I know the pattern of hte air and the gentle sway of the current. This is unnatural." Eilynne followed along behind Lycear, no worries for her own safety since she was quite well protected. "It is a shard. Were it the entire Orb I would know in a moment. What I cannot understand is what is controlling it. There is nothing evil amongst us, no sense of anything around that might be impacting it. Nothing...which leads me to believe that it might not be the Orb after all."
A shake of her head at the swirling ship and she glanced at Lycear then at the ship that was attempting to escape through a back channel but quickly going to be caught in the whirlpool's deadly trap. "Excuse me a moment dragonlord." Morphing quickly into Jaebelltiah, she took flight and caught hold of the ship's mast. Flapping her wings mightily she pulled and strained against the large current then gave one last burst of energy and like a popped top, the ship flew out and bounced on the water then ran aground onto the sands of the beach.

"With your talents in that, I'm sure you could." It was amusing to say the least to see some of the things she came up with. She often ran to him with her latest designs, asking for opinions but then having to explain to him what it did in the end. Embarrassing moments... "It certainly is... fashionable. I've heard a few comment on your choice of clothing." Which was what women liked to hear right? He let his eyes wander back to the sky and breathed out, trying to relax again. "There are many things I haven't done yet. I have to talk to the Laerethe about those lists, I have to see my father about the potential outings and arrange the accompanying group, I have to finalize plans for rebuilding the buildings in the square..." A blink and glancing over to her again, realizing his mistake. "Sorry. I know I'm just supposed to be Kaznec right now."

The sand was as much the ocean to the Chimera as the water...but as far as Hunter was concerned, they didn't need the extra help. and a slightly resentful look to the shapeshifter...before noticing the bloody mess that were his hands from rope burns.
His crew flopped aroudn teh deck out of breath...which got a angered look and teh captiain himself swiped the bosun's cat and lashed it across the air sharply. after all, he wasn't always a captain.
"Get up you dogs. the water won't beat my ship, and as long as your on it, it doesn't beat you either. unfurl the mainsail, get this ship ready for sail. I have some people to talk to."
bandaging up his hands, he held up a peice of mirror, using codes that ships use to ask permission to come aboard. or in this case, back into the city by some means.

"Again, something about this whole thing isn't natural. Though I have to admit, watching that pirate struggle to keep his ship afloat is hilarious." he laughed, loud. Kronos wasn't too found of pirates, when you spent most of your days in the desert, the coming of a pirate's ship was the worst thing that could happen. "Yes, Shyrae it is a real honor to get to see you again. I was hoping that we could a chance to speak again." he smiled
When Caden spoke, and barked orders to him, Kronos gave him a very cold grin, it wasn't one filled with anger, it was more the type of look that someone gives there younger sibling when they just did something that was really annoying. "Caden, you know very well I don't take well to being ordered around. I'm here to help and there's nothing you could say to stop me." he said, and turned his head towards the two elves. "I'm sure this two lovely creatures are more then capable of taking care of themselves." he smirked.

Savvy made a disgusted noise. "This means I can't get my supplies now until evertying is relocated, doesn't it?" Well that pissed her off. Why did things like this have to happen when she was trying to do something? Well...she guessed it buyed her some time at the very least. A tilt of her head at the new voice. Oh look who else was back. Shyrae attracted everyone didn't she? Long as it was harmless attention. "Oh what a day already." Chylithair gave a screech in agreement.
A look to her. Not the Orb...was this just the way of the land then and this was all natural? The Orb kept all of this at bay the perhaps as another function to what they personally used it for. Though then he blinked and watched as seh changed again into a very familiar form of dragon...how did she know how to do that particularly...and duely go about pulling the Chimera from a precarious situation. A shake of his head and he put himself in the air, gliding over and landing on the ship. "Captain, I'd call that a tad foolish." Snatching the mirror from him. "I would advise you to not be moreso."
"Would take up all my free time at least." A blink at him, was he trying to give a compliment of the fahsion sorts. How cute. "As long as they are good things that are being said then yay." Seriously that was just too cute. But she merely watched as he was himself...Kaznec and commander were one in the same. Commander just had moments where he was relaxed. Sitting up she shook her head. "No it's okay Kaz. If you have that much to do then we can go back. Maybe I can help you...I am a strategist you know, I'm good at organizing things." Getting up and offering a hand to him. "Come on."
