Kaleb glanced down when he felt his partner stirring. It was about time, he had no clue how Riley could sleep so much, and stay in shape on top of that. "Did you want me to make you something for breakfast?" he asked, then took another sip of his chocolate milk.

"Cheese omelet?" He yawned again and stretched slightly. "Four eggs..."

Kaleb grinned. "Okay, I'll bring it out for you once it's done." He closed his book and wandered into the kitchen, poking around for all the ingredients and cooking implements before finally getting started.

He yawned again and stretched out across most of the couch. His legs were still hanging over the arm so he rolled onto his back to make it more comfortable. "Thanks."

Kaleb was amazed at how much omelet four eggs made, since he could only ever manage one egg at a time. As it cooked he poured a glass of orange juice for Riley and got out a plate with cutlery, and before long he was bringing the meal out for his partner.

Once he could smell the food he sat up. "Mmm...." It was neat to have someone to make breakfast for him instead of him having to get up to get it.

Kaleb handed Riley the plate and cutlery, and then set the glass of orange juice down on the coffee table. He sat down next to Riley and pulled out his book again, but he kept glancing over as though waiting for Riley to try it and tell him if it were okay.

He was too busy scarfing down the omelet to comment on it. It tasted delicious and Kaleb had even put the right amount of cheese into it.

Kaleb stopped glancing and outright stared when he saw how fast Riley was devouring the meal. At least now he knew it was edible.

He had most of the omelet done before he reached for the juice. "S'good." He grinned at his partner before he started on the eggs again.

Kaleb 's face lit up with a smile. "I'm glad, I've never made an omelet before." Now satisfied that everything was in order, he wagged his tail happily and went back to his book.

He finished off the omelet and then went for his juice again. If he could have breakfast that good every morning he'd be set for life.

Kaleb glanced up at the clock a few minutes later, and then over at Riley. "You had to be at work today?" The little mage didn't have to work any shifts at the hospital for a day or two, and his phone had been pretty quiet lately, so maybe he could get some stuff moved in.
