-when you care if your instrument gets one small rust spot, chip, or dent
-when you want to learn most of the instruments
-you're fascinated by marching and want to do it all the time
-when you fight with your fellow band nerds over whose instrument is better
-your role model is a person who plays the same instrument as you or is in a band

*for christmas u ask for music
*ur best friends are all 1rst chairs(whats sad is mine are)
*u know ur band director better than ur own father
*u start huming a tune from a piece of music and u can tell someone what measure it was in and what came after it
*uve slapped someone for saying something bad about ur instrument
*u find urself keeping step 2 a tune in ur head
*u can tell what time signature a song on the radio is in
*u love your instrument more than ur own mother

You know you're a band geek if you were in three different bands during the school year, and the only one that did any marching wasn't a school band.

When you carry old reeds around to use as gum.
When you burst out sing-humming a concert song with several buddies in math.
When you can play the nintendo theme song on your instrument.
When, instead of tapping your fingers, you air-finger tunes instead.

I've got some:
-You know your a band geek when your more proud of the fact your concernt band took first in the music festival that they went to, then the fact that your track team won against the rival team for the first time in over 12years.
-you know your a band geek when your more excited and nervous about playing in the festival that you've been ready for, for over 6months more so then the shorline track champ.
-You know your a band geek when you have all of the pep band music in your flip folder: but the rest of the band doesnt.
-You know your a band geek when you cry over the mistakes you made at the rehersal the night before the concernt more so then when you injure your already injured knee.
-You know your a band geek when your looking forward to Band Day.
-You know your a band geek when during pep band you make jokes about how your friends Sax wants you.
-You know your a band geek when your gonna miss a piece of music you played.

You know you're a band geek when you find yourself waking up after sleepwalking into the band room
You know you're a band geek when you spend more time every morning cleaning your instrument than you spend in the shower
