((Don'#t judge me, I'm drunk again... student life >.<))
Ruuavn was quite impressed with D's skill and ability handle the situation, even though he was trying to maintain his own balance and avoid being thrown off by the beast, so he waited those twenty minutes until the beast gave in and slumped to the ground, allowing Ruuto jump onto the floor and quickly make his way over to Claire, making sure D was behind him. Once there, all safe and sound, the party entered the final chamber where Ruu would face the Guardian. It went without saying he took the stone from D, smiling calmly and showing, in his eyes, he needed to this this part on his own with the stone.

Hugin the Raven All right then... so now, the dragon was simply trapped by its own manuver, and not knowing any better, it tried to pull back... only to have its head rammed against the wall. Grunts of exertion were heard as it tried to shake free of the oppressive goo... however, it seemed that it would not let go.
Pesky human child!
It was definitely seeing starts and spots before its eyes at this point, seeing as it had smacked its head a couple of times in its struggles. Not to mention the deprivation of oxygen was slowly starting to wind him down. Still, it fought, thrashing and whipping its head about in order to at least make them let go...
However, twenty minutes later, it finally slowed its pace. Before closing its eyes and giving out on its own legs, the Fire Drake weakly shook one last time before the goo forced him to the wall again. Coup de Grace...
It passed out, not in sleep... but in a comatose state. ::And not a moment too soon. As the Drakes wieght pulled it down, a series of loud pops were heard. The sort of pops you might here when you step on that bubble wrap that comes with most packages. And the beasts simple wieght pulled the black goo right off the wall. As it hit the ground, D fell with it, landing flat on his belly right on the things head. He was out cold...4 seconds...thats all it took for the snoring to start. And almost instantly D curled himsef up in the fetal position with the ruby tightly grasped in his hands, and fell asleep. As if the goo was made of sand, it just sort of disingegrated away leaving nothing but two "sleeping", monsters.::

Claire smiled towards D, quite impressed with what the boy had done. Of course, judging by the lack of command he had over his sword, it was safe to say that he would not be participating any further... She carefully lifted him, placed the boy on her left shoulder, and walked onward behind Ruuvan.
Unfortunately, the final chamber would not be for a while... still, the stone guided them through one passageway after another, until they passed a rune. One... single... rune. They stopped briefly, and she read it as a single word...
"Onward."
She nodded, and they passed by... a few feet after they had passed it, the rune flashed.
Nothing happened... or had it?

There was no conversation as the trio continued further down into the dungeon, just D over Claire's shoulder as the Ruby lead them deeper into the tunnel network. Then only eventful thing to happen was the stone flashing once they past the Rune on the wall, but Ruu figured that was something telling whoever was waiting for them that they had the stone, kind of like confirmation that these adventurers were here with reason and sought an audience with the Guardian. "We're almost there." Ruuvan said quietly, placing each hand on the corresponding sword as the moved on, waiting to enter the final chamber and get this show on the road.

Twist after turn later, and a few corridors, another rune appeared. The same rune, the same word. Onward. Claire quirked an eyebrow at this, but nodded and continued forward. Once again, a few feet after they passed by, it flashed. No noise, just a pulse of light. Now, it was just a bunch of hallways and twists, and all the stone looked exactly the same.
It was confusing, and a bit frustrating, but she continued moving, paying it no mind. They were almost there, after all. And surely, they would reach it soon. It might take a while, but they would reach it.
Right?

Sunstrike Wait...what? N-no! No, it's alright, Tijae...We're safe, for now."He's stuck..." Sun walked forward a little, hand now slipping from Vahn's arm reluctantly, eye not leaving the giant one in front of him. "I don't think you have to worry, just yet, Hono..." A few more steps, more like shuffles, closer to the ladder. "We don't have time for old battles, Vahn..." His eyes turned back to the fuming man. Vahn, the traitorous sibling. You had Victor at your mercy but lacked the courage to fulfill the act. And now you see what your kin intends to do. By his selfish decision to preserve this world, even when it meant sacrificing a bounty of your people. This is the Bane of Fah, as long as his seed remains alive. What may have passed for a snort, left the great beast's nostrils, the sudden wind flaring past the party. "An ironic condemnation, considering who's chained up here. Just what the hell were you thinking, in letting yourself get captured? What are you trying to do by being here? And why, as the gates continue to open, do you just get stronger off it?" Vahn turned on his left heel, partly turning away from Antharas and showing his backside. "Things in this world, I am learning, are rarely what they seem. You, apparently, are no exception." Another heavy snort, even as the dragon's eyes narrowed. I am the son of Coor, the source of darkness' very existence. I am the bane of all your kind, the devourer of Death itself. You will watch your tounge mortal.Odd laughter echoed throughout the hall, as Vahn turned, pointing the end of Efreet towards Antharas. "...Or maybe you're just hungry - could it be as simple as that? The great Antharas is being spoon fed like a baby..." Do not test my patience, Vahn. I made you, and I will unmake you if I become so inclined.Efreet came to rest upon his right shoulder once more, even as Vahn began walking away from the beast. "Not even Death can stand in my way. You should know that by now." There are fates worse than death, Son of Fah. A guttural purr seemed to emanate from the dragon; chains rustling greatly as it moved it's head slightly to stare at Tellus, Sunstrike and Raven. Vahn jabbed his finger in the dragon's direction, nothing but disgust coating his voice. "You can try. But you will fail, and fail hard. I am not one to be <******** trifled with!" Antharas' voice rose ominously even as it's sickening laughter filled the room. Go now. Play out your pitiful family reunion, and take your place among the destroyed, the used and the damned. But know this - we will meet again.Vahn had already turned his back to the dragon, eyes closed as each hollow step brought him further away. "Let's go."

The girl on Sunstrike's back hadn't paid much attention to the words between the two, only watching the dragon silently. As they turned however, she spoke. "Follow the light, and darkness will hound your steps." Tellus' voice wasn't her own, but only Sunstrike would recongize who it was. "But surrender to the shadows to find your light."
Her hair began to shimmer, the threads of silver seemingly more prominate at first before shimmering back.'Sorry, lover. I think you may have to deal with the angel sooner than I expected.'

stare now you guy are all starting to worry me... sheesh sweatdrop
*Hono shook her head and bowed respectfully to the great dragon again* I'm half tempted to try and help you get loose cousin... but I have a bad feeling that you would just attempt to eat me, and I don't have time for that right now xp
*she followed along behind the others wondering how bad things were likely to get ahead of them*

"Vahn..." Sunstrike had frozen, ears twitching at Tijae's words, just watching the other man with confused eyes. It was, a lot to take in and process really, and just not a lot of time to do it in.
Saving by sacrifice...to that...if ever there were another Destroyer borne... His head turned to look at the creatures resting place in a more curious, rather then horror, observation.
So even something as large as that was a pawn...although, Antharas wouldn't ever even let that assumption get near his head, let alone enter it. He sighed.
"Well, if the angel wants me to let her down, she'd best tell me, otherwise I'm her legs for this do..." He said, not unkindly, before continuing to follow the tall figure of his friend.

It was becoming apparent that this final chamber was still a ways to go, what with the same symbol telling them to continue onwards until something was supposed to happen, but the stone continued to shine every time they past by the sign. "How much farther can this place go on for?" Of course there was nearly unlimited desert for it to span under, but there had to be a limit of how far down these Valkyres would put their sanctum.

And once again, another rune that said onward. All right... fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, though...
"Ruu... keep going. Pay attention to which way we turn and which paths we go down. I have a theory, but I won't be able to confirm unless we keep going. Don't worry- it won't be long now."
She was almost sure that this was some sort of trap... or misdirection. In either case, they continued moving. A few feet after they had passed, the rune flashed again. Once again, it was silent... no noise, just a pulse of light.

[ Just Another Face ] Halycanos blinked, looked around, yawned and took a gander for his clock. 8:15. Enough time to gather water and food. Doing one of those weird wake up instant things, Helycanos pulled himself together, and sprang up, looking back to Brass. "Get your things together. I'll get food and water. Tell me if you want anything special." And with that, his semi concious self busted off to the kitchen, grabbing two five gallon jugs. Heavy as hell, but on a little equal weight, they're a sinch.
He filled the jugs with fresh drinking water, knowing damned well he'd have to come back with twice this amount. Living alone is hard, after all. He also packed lots of Granola and Beef Jerky. Good, because it'll keep you going. Once food for two was finished, he turned right around and went to his room, packing up no clothes, but some very large glass bricks. Stones, possibly ten pounds each. With a power like his, maybe he's smart enough to make a lucrative business out of it. "Nah, I've got everything I'll need, except water, right here." He said softly as he patted his pockets to his cloak and watched the man gather their supplies and whatnot. As the man prepared everything, BRass noticed he had picked up two rather large glass-like bricks. For a moment, he wondered if that was another type of material to be found in these harsh desert.

Top Nuerologists have recently discovered that concious brain activity gives off extra electrical currents, and thus, raises the temperature the head is giving off. This has absolutely nothing to do with the following posts.
When Halycanos was finished strapping the bricks in, he looked up to Brass. "Wait till we get out there. At night, this place is a whole new view. The sand is really rather pretty at night." Standing, Halycanos grabs his pack and slings it onto his back, hefting it carefully. "Not to mention, all that broken glass from our fight."
Heading to the door, Halycanos mentions, loudly. "We need to be carefu from here on out. Sand worms could still be out there, not to mention most of the monsters wake up at night." And with that he left, not really offering Brass extra time to catch up.

And so the mental note taking began; Ruuvan leading on with the Ruby in hand, memorising which turns they took, what ramps they went up or down and relaying them back to Claire as they went, eventually getting rather bored of it all again. They past the Rune once more, at which time the Ruby pulsed again, and it all added to the monotony of the whole situation. "Seriously now, how far?"

And when the ruby pulsed...
"Stop!"
They did so. She turned around and scowled at the rune. Now that her suspicions had been confirmed, she walked over to the marking on the wall and poked at it. It was a trap, and they had both fallen for it twice. "Damned clever, you are. But you can't fool me more than twice, you little runt."
She turned towards Ruuvan and extended one had to him. "Can those knives of yours carve through stone? I have a simple way to solve this."
