Anyone that has really play and payed attention to the game knows that Cloud really liked and loved Aries. Yes in the game you can score more points with Tifa and Yuffie but over all Cloud is in love with Aries.

I'm going to say Tifa and not just because i love her and despise Aeris >_> hear me out xD;;;

Sure, Cloud valued Aeris as a friend...but dude... Tifa and him go way back! To like... childhood! O.o Tifa understands him in ways Aeris never could, she really cares for Cloud and worries about him and it doesn't take a whole lot of brains to see he cares for her as well. Sure, it's just in a friends way but those of us who have played the game know that Cloud isn't one to get all mushy and lovey dovey. There are parts in the game that imply Aeris is Cloud's main squeeze but who was really there to stick out with Cloud until the very end? Eh? Oh, i'll tell you who!

ok on a more serious note, as i have read through some of the reasons people have chosen Aeris/Cloud i want to say one more thing. Tifa does, indeed love Cloud. In the little guide book that came with the game it even says she's admired him for years but she'd never tell. Sure, it doesn't say love exactly but she has to have some pretty strong feelings for him if she worries the way she does.

When Cloud's down and out... he can always rely on Tifa to whip him back into shape i think deep down.. he knows that too.

I think a lot of us over look little things in the game as well. Uh.. would this be a spoiler? Ah, i'll just hide it, those of you who are past the part where they visit Kalm Inn, highlight to read the rest.

When Cloud is telling the group his story and your allowed to venture around the town, there is a house that is Tifa's house. He makes a point to fix his hair ( though we all know it's always gonna look the same anyway XD ) in the mirror, nodding and approval to himself before he wandered further in. Why? He obviously cares about his appearence around her... and how she sees him.

o-o just wanted to point that out. Ok, i'm done rambling now xD;

They did what they set out to do, I guess. These guys are truly evil... People will be debating about this for years to come as long as the very memory of the game exists. Shall we just agree to disagree?

kingdom hearts wa a completly different series. though, sora sparred with a young tidus so before MIGHT be possible. theres just no way of knowing.

Yes, he did... when he was younger he wanted to impress Tifa hence why he wanted to join SOLDIER. They were just children then, so what he felt for her may have just been kiddy love. Though, those feelings could have changed over the years, i doubt that they would have completely dried out.

But the truth is... no matter how much either of us argue, either one of us could be wrong. Cloud never proclaims his love for either of these girls o-o; I hope he would have chosen Tifa, but he could have chosen Aeris. I'm going by what i was able to pick out of the game and Advent Children ( though i wont spoil that for any of you ) that support that a relationship could've been possibly between these two.

They are very close friends, are they not? A lot of successful ( not all... just a lot o-o; ) start out as friends first. Tifa and Cloud could definately make it... but then... so could Aeris and Cloud i suppose. >_> it's a debate that could go on forever and ever.

*nods* Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, Barret, Cid, Yuffie and everyone else in your party were all good friends. But we wouldn't pair Cloud with Barret would we?

I may not like Aeris... but i can't rule her out of the picture completely... same for those who don't like Tifa and Cloud being together. It could've gone either way. Unless there is official writing somewhere that says Cloud chose either, guess we'll never know for certain x__x;

I agree with your view girl! In the story 'Tifas' case' that SE wrote, Tifa asks "Do you love me?" Refering to her, "Are we not good enough for you?" referring to her, marlene and Danzel. It's as if Tifa is talking about it as if they're family? I think that's how they see eachother as family... hmmm...
