Iwatodai...he had heard that it was the kind of city where anything could happen, a blue and luminescent and at times downtrodden city where the supernatural ran rampant. How many rumors had spread in the last year about the wild incidents three years ago when the moon had 'fallen', or when the Mist Wall had been attacked a few months ago? He couldn't forget rumors that wild if he tried, but when he arrived he was disappointed (or relieved or both) to see that it was just another city...full of buildings, cars, people...all of whom were wrecked or suffering because of the threat that plagued the entire country, the entire world. It wasn't all that different...which was comforting...and yet it was still dying. And that was a scary thought, the thought that there was no quarter.

It was a pretty well-protected area around the park, and so as he made his way down the sidewalk in the direction of the Shrine he heard about, he found very little resistance in the way of demons or the like. He stuck to the outskirts of the park, the shelter that was so well protected, and he kept tight to that area until the necessary diversion to reach the Shrine and the Terminal within. It was odd to him that so many of the demons were sealed in shrines or other areas where people tended to gather in groups...either for entertainment or religious connotations. Or maybe it wasn't odd...maybe it was appropriate. Did the location of the seals have any clue to what the devils preferred when you were trying to win their loyalty as a devil?
Anything was possible, and he knew it. Nothing was discounted. So far he had been to a station, a shrine, and there was an amphitheater left to visit before his tour of the cities' Terminals came to a close. No connecting fiber thus far, except that people gathered there...maybe they needed to summon it with a large group?

Moving up the steps of the shrine towards the Terminal there was a devil that greeted him with a pair of swords and an attack out of nowhere that only Zaou-Gongen's quick reactions had saved him from. Clashing blades together as he slipped past, he summoned Shiva behind the enemy devil and let it attack from the back, the two-sided assault putting down the powerful Koumoukuten devil where it stood and letting him move past it towards the kiosk for the Trumpeter. Now he needed to summon it, or study the terminal at the very least...his phone stayed flipped open and he began to type in the numbers that Daichi had sent to him through Io. If he could find something, some common threat...some common number...he just had to search, search, search, and never stop trying...if he could just find that breakthrough, it would be all he needed.
And then Benetnasch was going to get its ******** a** kicked.

"Keep the demons at bay, Shiva. I'm going to be looking over the kiosk for a mark or a symbol, anything that stands out from the other terminals."
...The demon looked down at him with an amused look, as if asking him if he was ready for what was about to come after.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. Go nuts, Big Guy."
Shiva turned towards the approaching small horde of devils just cresting the top of the stairs as his summoner continued to examine the kiosk thoroughly.
"PAAAAAAAASUPATAAAAAAAAAAA!"
...He's be finished looking over soon. Only Tokyo remaining thereafter...

His examination of the local terminal was finished; moving towards the staircase down from the Naganaki Shrine, another unfamiliar number appeared on his phone as he flipped it open...and the voice on the other side was a female that he had met in person again only just a little while ago. It was Nitta, the girl from the Restorer Faction calling on behalf of Daichi! That kid was really on the ball after he heard about what Kakyo was doing...as if the idea of a solution that didn't involve killing each other was enough to get him revved up in spite of the difference in their Faction philosophy. He smiled as her voice pierced through, telling him that she was calling to let him know about the terminal in Tokyo. There were codes, directions...he really was thorough...but then, that was his hometown, wasn't it?
"K-Kaido-san? ...Be safe. We're all rooting for you."
"...Yeah, thanks. I'll try not to let you all down." Back to the station. On to Tokyo, last spot on the Trumpeter Terminal Tour of Japan.

It was still surprising how clear the area around the park and shelter were...whoever had been taking care of the area and fending off the demons were absolutely tireless! He couldn't help but smirk and think to himself that there were some pretty good people involved in this Faction, too...if only they could all band together, maybe they could really create a new world worth seeing? He hoped that was the case...and as he reached the station at last he pictured his wife out there, waiting on him to get home with some good news. He couldn't let her down...wouldn't let her down...the people of Oshu and the entire world might be depending on the outcome of his Investigation.
"Guess we're moving on to Tokyo..." the Boss thought as he opened his phone, typing in the code to move on from his current location, "Always wanted to visit the capital...never thought it would be like this, though."
