Just a bit of background here. Porta Denia was a place that Aylin wasn't just told to go investigate when the military alliance around Gaia caught wind of the missing cargo ships from the island. During the early years of their marriage Aylin and Orrin would spend time up on the island using it as a launching point for some of their adventures together and made some of their closest friends there. So there's too many memories back in her birth village, too many memories up on Porta Denia, and too many memories in Barton that it's painful to live there yet she still does because the love she has for Barton and her family and the promise she made when Orrin was dying far outweighs that pain.
You know now that I think about it I kind of do need Aylin and Caelen to be on better terms for that next morning's post to work. It may not fix three years of tensions completely but hopefully he can better understand her. And would you believe for a moment I was going to have Aylin swear and begin to wonder if she had been around the manor more that maybe people wouldn't be in the mess they're in. I'm actually glad I didn't. And you know this explains why, even though the Stewart name is so well known within Barton, Aylin doesn't know more of the people in town and why they have so many misconceptions about her. It still hurts far too much and she still hasn't been able to say she's done mourning. Poor Aylin is a bundle of pent up emotions.

Alrighty, Caelen has basically spilled his guts and stated the absolute raw truth about his feelings regarding Aylin, so now there 's really nothing else he can say. It's up to Aylin to sort out her feelings and decide whether or not she can get along with Cae.
Right now all Cae really wants is to crawl into a hole in the ground. He's just completely spent for the night, emotionally. But, duty calls.

Oh god Hydro said at some point someone was going to cry because of this part of the RP and I'm already making myself cry here with this next post. The one thing she doesn't talk about to Chef and the others and she's dragging it all out for Caelen.

I'm thinking of making, for the first time, a separate post for Kai. He does at least want to be on good terms with everyone and there is the matter of someone making a crack at Caelen's muddy appearance.
I still haven't decided if Aylin has a fear of Caelen like he thinks she does or if that thinking is unfounded and there's another reason why they clash so much.

I was actually thinking about that last night and came up with an idea. We'll have to toss this one around, but it might really help clear the air between them.
I'm inventing a new ability for Cae, but kind of for demons in general. It's called Soul Sharing. Caelen's ability in this area differs from the rest of his kind since he doesn't use his power for evil. Instead of using this ability to tempt and enslave the heart and mind of a person, Cae can use his ability to feel all the strongest emotions a person has had in their life as if they were his own emotions. It helps him understand the pain, anger,and loss from the other person's perspective. The downside is that the other person feels his emotions the same way. That is why it is called Soul Sharing. He tries not to use this ability too much since he has thousands of years of heartache and hopelessness inside him. But, he thinks Aylin would be able to handle it.
It's not mind reading. he doesn't see a whole cinematic record of the person's life. He can sense the events that caused the emotions and feel the effects of those events. So in essence, if Aylin did consent to try the Soul Sharing with Cae, her private memories would remain private, it's just the emotions that would be shared.

So you want to eventually try and do it between them at some point or was it something they had tried? If it's the former then I could see that being a good scene before everyone else is up in the morning. If it's the later she could be scared of feeling so vulnerable when he did it. But I could see it as a good way for them to finally get over the tensions between them. We can decide on which one works better once you read what Kai has to say.

lol, all joking aside, yes. There will be many reunions. I'm thinking Alice will notice right off just how pale and drained Cel will look because of Nyx's dark forces draining her energy. It's your call whether or not you pull her aside and comment on that.
I will wait until after I read Kai's post, but I'm treating this like something Caelen doesn't bring up much, so it would be the first time they ever tried it.
