Adrian snorted softly. "I leave them to you, dear. And while physically she's cute... mentally and spiritually... she's about as tolerable as Limburger cheese in a solitary confinement cell," he murmured, shrugging slightly, meaning that if Lillian were within a ten mile radius of Carmen, he wouldn't even notice her period. He snorted softly, fighting back a laugh at the vampiric neighbor's baffled look. "Besides, with you anywhere near her... like say ten or fifteen miles.... I wouldn't even notice her... or anyone else, really," he murmured.

Lillian looked to Adrian a smile on her face as she heard Adrian's reply. 'I'm glad that you're not objecting to my being cruel to them like this.' she told him before blushing at the rest of what Adrian told her. 'Adrian,' she thought in a flirty tone. 'That's so sweet.' She looked out her rearview mirror and saw the man talking to the two girls, a sickeningly charming smile on his face, though she knew that it meant nothing. She could only try guessing what was being said, though, Lillian could see the man lean forward towards Carmen and smiling still. Lillian did not want to find out, so she just kept driving and thinking only of Adrian and spending time with him.
Back in Lillian's driveway the man was flirting heavily with Carmen and trying to sweet talk her into coming to dinner with him and his family, completely ignoring Ali altogether. He could tell that this wasn't liked by her, but he didn't care. He knew that he'd probably do what he wanted with the girls and then have nothing more to do with them. Who he really wanted was Lillian for her father's fortune and he was going to try to be patient and he swore to himself that he'd fight for her and her family's wealth if need be. Or he'd just kill her and be done with the whole mess and then Adrian wouldn't have any reason to stick around.
Adrian glanced in the rear view mirror, rolling his eyes. "He may have emotions down, but his theatrical portrayal falls so flat it makes paper look like a freakin' log," he muttered, unimpressed. He glanced at Lillian, blinking as he saw Kōrai flying alongside the Jeep, a faint smile twitching the corners of his mouth in amusement.

Lillian kept her eyes facing forward as she drove, but she still heard Adrian. 'I don't know, I can bet those two girls might fall for him, they don't have very good taste when it comes to men. Girls like them look at the jocks just because they think that they look good. I think that guy was a jock and he just recently graduated. I can imagine the two of them know him probably on a personal level, well not too personal, but I bet they'd like to know more about him. yet maybe not.' she said in a laughing tone as she drove to where Adrian had told her about before they had to walk the rest of the way to the cavern, which didn't bother her at all.
Adrian chuckled as Lillian pulled the Jeep over, though he glanced up where Kōrai was perched to the left of Lillian's head. "Seems she likes you," he remarked idly, not surprised to see the eagle glance towards him. Rōkai was sitting with her forepaws on the console, her sapphire eyes flicking around with interest.

Lillian parked the Jeep and unbuckled before hearing Adrian saying that someone liked her. As she looked to her left her eyes went wide at the suddeness of the eagle's appearance, though she didn't squeal or anything. "She is a really pretty bird." Lillian remarked as she got out of the Jeep, opening the door to let Roxy and Rōkai out of the vehicle. She grabbed Roxy's collar and made sure that she had her hand on the leash before she let go of the collar. "There you go Roxy. I think that you'll like having a nice long walk, since I haven't walked you for a couple days... Sorry girl." she said to the red colored husky, who only tilted her head and wagged her tail, happy to finally be out and able to get a good walk in.
Adrian chuckled. "She's extremely observant and often notices details that most don't," he said with a smile as he slid out of the Jeep. He scratched Rōkai behind the ears, making her bark softly as she did the same, though he had no leash for the fox-wolf hybrid.

Lillian looked around for a moment before waiting for Adrian to lead the way. She didn't know the area as well as he probably did and she did not want to end up walking into something like a bear's cave or something of that nature. She also was concerned about getting lost and she didn't feel like doing that and having her father sending out search parties to find her. "I think that I may need to take a nap... I wanted to see your cavern, though if Daddy finds out we were out together so late I think that he might just have a hissy fit..." she said as she took a deep breath and took in the scent of the trees, although her nose wasn't able to pick up much other than the smell of the leaves, dirt and other obvious things.
{{ooc: Edit ~ You do realize that in my one post (the one where she got bit by the hyena-wolf hybrid) Lillian was at her uncle's all day and that I was thinking that it was probably after dark now? Unless we just skip a night and half a day... I guess that it doesn't matter confused I could still reply, though my poor mind is all confused right at the moment...}}
Adrian shrugged. "Look at it this way, you know what the main path to the cavern looks like now, for the most part, so we can head over here tomorrow," he said with a faint smile. He didn't mind heading back to the house, though now that Lillian knew where the road was, which was roughly half again as wide as the Jeep, it was possible for her to take the path all the way to the cavern if she so chose. "We can head back if you want, or maybe we could run it past your mother and perhaps do a bit of a picnic," he said idly, watching the stream as the fireflies hovered and swirled in the slight breeze. He glanced up at the waning moon, sighing softly.

Lillian stretched and looked over to Adrian. "We don't have to head back. I mean I can stay out, though, I wouldn't want to risk Daddy getting angry with us," she said as she thought about Adrian's words for a moment. She knew that she wanted to go and perhaps if her parents would agree to the picnic idea then maybe her father wouldn't be so against Lillian hanging out with Adrian. That would be the perfect way for her parents, and her, to get to know Adrian better, though she felt like she already knew him even though it had only been a couple days since she had found him in that alley. Letting a small yawn creep from her mouth she nodded and said that it probably would be best for them to get back to the house. She said that she would even talk to her parents in the morning about going on a picnic. She thought for a moment before she decided they didn't have to get back right then. "I think that I want to walk Roxy around for a bit, let her strech her legs and maybe I could sit by the creek and get my feet wet. I haven't gone swimming since the day that I found you and it's almost driving me nuts not swimming, though I've had a very eventful few days, so I gues that not swimming for a couple days won't kill me." she said, laughing softly as she watched Roxy snapping at the fireflies that were flitting through the air.

Adrian smiled slightly. "Hey, swimming in itself isn't a vice. It keeps you fit and limber as well as agile since I've found walking through running water at a steady pace is kinda like running with weights. The good thing is that you don't drink alcohol or smoke," he said with a chuckle. He liked the idea of staying for a while before a mischievous look entered his eyes as he quietly stepped away into a nearby bush that had ripe blackberries on it as well as a ring of unique silvery 'moonglories' as he had dubbed them since they seemed to bloom strongest under a full moon or moonlight in general. "Maybe you'd like a little something to snack on while we're here," he said as he plucked several berries into a small case that was hanging off of the nearest tree. He cocked his head, noticing the vine for the 'moonglories' had entwined into the blackberry bush, though what caught his eye was that the plants seemed to be intertwined without harming one or the other. It gave an intriguing effect, the silvery blue and silvery white flowers amongst the dark green leaves and darker indigo-blue berries.

Lillian smiled as she watched Roxy trying to catch the fireflies, though she had to keep a good hold on the leash or Roxy would have pulled away and took off after the blinking bugs. "I love swimming and I try to go every day, though I don't have to. And yes, yes it does," she said in agreemen t to Adrian's words, then replied to his saying that running through running water was like running with weights. "I haven't tried that, though I have gone swimming in a 'wave pool' before and that's pretty fun. There were some of the other swim team members that kept getting pushed back when the 'waves' came. Although, I wasn't pushed back until I got tired." she said, while she took her shoes off and put her feet in the water after setting down at the edge of the creek.
Adrian crouched next to Lillian, tapping her shoulder while offering her some blackberries. He knew from experience that they were sweet and tangy. "You haven't noticed the flowers, have you?" he said quietly as he flicked his fingers at the bush as the moonlight streamed down, making the silvery blue and silvery white flowers seem to glow white amongst the darker leaves and berries of the blackberry bush several feet to their left down the path.

Lillian let her feet dangle in the water as she felt Adrian tapping her shoulder. She looked up at him and she tilted her head in the direction that he had pointed to, whilst taking the berries from Adrian and popping one in her mouth. Her eyes went wide at the delicious flavor of the berries and she saw the flowers. "These are amazing and those flowers are beautiful. I can't believe I didn't see those without you pointing them out to me." she said, thinking that she must have had tunnel vision for a moment when she was watching Roxy trying to eat the fireflies.
Adrian chuckled. "In my experience, people see the night as simply a time to sleep and recharge, yet sometimes those same nights can hold a beauty just as impressive as any dawn or sunset; it's just a matter of looking," he said with a small smile, lightly tapping the tip of his finger against her nose. Several short yips followed as three silvery fox kits darted out of the bushes on the other side of the path, heading straight for them. One had eyes that were a brilliant indigo as if her eyes were replaced by amethysts, while another had brilliant ruby colored eyes. The third had deep amber colored eyes, though the ruby eyed one slid to a stop by the bush, staring at Lillian as if confused. She yelped softly, which made Adrian chuckle. "She's a very close friend of mine, Biru, so don't worry, Rokai likes her quite a bit," he said with amusement as the forementioned fox-wolf hybrid leaped out of the bushes and bounded over, settling right between Adrian and Lillian with a soft growling sigh. "I think Rokai looks at you like a kit of hers," he teased Lillian.
