Winter looked back at Daniel and sighed, "I suppose your right, but its hard not to. My life was miserable before I met you." She smiled a little, feeling just as shy as she did the day she came here.

Winter looked away from him, blushing slightly, "I don't have many." The ones she did have were her times with Daniel, and back when she was little and was with her Father. Even back then happy memories were few and far between. She sighed contently, as her handful of good couldn't overcome the lifetime of bad.

Winter said, "It seems I'm not extremely great at that." She held back a sentance that rang in her head. Seeing as I have somehow jacked everything up between us, just by missing my family. she kept her face straight, not betraying anything.

Daniel looked at her as he smiled gently rubbing her check "good now go have some fun and let lose" he said gently. he handed her some money and a camera, as he backed up "well take one of the younger girl slaves they will fit you better"

Winter nodded and gently took the money and camera, feeling the weird electric shock when her fingers brushed his. She turned and left the room, blinking away tears. She shut the door behind her and remembered his touch fondly before continuing on to the kitchen. She sat and ate an apple in peace for a while before another woman came up. Winter remembered her, seeing as she was just a year older than her. The girl sat down next to her. She began asking questions about Winters day and if everything was alright. Winter replied smoothly, though it became harder for her to kep her voice level.

daniel sighed a bit as he sat down leaning back against the chair. he ran his hand throught his hair as he took some deep breaths wondering if he was pushing her away. he shut his eyes leaving his hand in his hair

Winter nodded when it was needed and tried to avoid questions about how Daniel was doing. The girl, as Winter had found in their conversation, was named Anna generally noticed. Anna invited Winter to go and bring the men hot chocolate once they came in from working outside in the rain. Winter smiled a little and agreed and they both went off to make steaming mugs of sweet chocolate.

daniel soon fell asleep in the chair as he mumbled a bit, fisting his hands. he wasn't likeing the nightmare at all right now, he wanted it to end or at least change

Winter seldom smiled truly during her task, as she couldn't change the path of her thoughts. But what kept coming back up was their previouse exchange. When she had seen him he had smiled, as if she were someone else, but then it faded. Her heart thumped sluggishly in her chest and she longed for only two nights ago, cuddled up and asleep in Daniels arms.

Winter thought that Daniel may want a cup but was soon shot down by the memories of him pushing her away from him. She kept her solumn thoughts to herself, and faked a smile as a few men came in from outside shivvering. Her and Anna, along with the mens mates, rushed towards them. The women guided the men back towards the kitchen and sat them down. Winter came back with the mugs and gave one to each of the men. Others toweled their husbands hair down, and wrapped a towel around their shoulders. Winter looked out on the cozy scene but her heart hurt more at the affection that permitted the air. She felt as if she was tainting the beautiful painting.

Daniel continued to sleep as he fell off the chair as he fisted his hands. he shot up screaming cold sweat as he looked around and then lowered his head. "i messed up big time with her" he said quietly. He layed back a let a few tears roll down his face
