EMBER SAYS:
Falconwind looked up at the sky, wrapping around his tail as he thought about his answer. Was it surprising for two of the clans to ally? The tip of Falconwind's tail twitched as he considered the answer.
"Considering the circumstances, Foxstar, I think it's only natural for alliances to be made. Everyone is scared, they fear what's to come and think that the best way to prepare is to choose allies, but choosing allies also leads to choosing enemies." Falconwind looked back at his leader. "At the Gathering, I believe that the issues should be addressed, but in a diplomatic way rather than bringing any level of hostility. We don't know what the other clans are doing and we can't know. The best thing to do in this situation is to approach it with care. We don't want to appear weak and encourage an attack, but we can't appear hostile and coerce an attack because of intimidation. I suggest that we don't show weakness, but limit how much strength we show in case of appearing as though we were planning to take action. Right now our concerns should be for our own, not the other clans."
Falconwind paused before continuing carefully, "Perhaps we could have a meeting with just the other leaders and deputies to discuss what's happening. We would learn how they're fairing and prepare accordingly. But the best thing to do, in my opinion, is to wait and observe."
Falconwind cocked his head to the side. What dreams could Foxstar possibly be having, it was unusual for a leader to have dreams, but then again, Falconwind had be warned about earthquake just moments before it had happened by Lavenderstar herself.
"What happens in these dreams?" Falconwind inquired. For a moment he considered telling Foxstar about the vision of the former clan leader, but he wasn't sure if now was the right moment to or if he should console Rabbitfoot about it first. Or maybe he just shouldn't say anything about it at all.
