Kaia ran out and jumped on to her father's lap, disturbing him from the book he had been reading. Luckily, it seemed that Kaia could do no wrong(except for sneak into floating buildings), and Sephiroth only greeted her antics with a smile. "Daddy," she put on her cute act,"Who's that?" she motioned toward the man in the red cloak.

Sephiroth set down his book face down to save his page,"That's Vincent Valentine. I suppose you could call him your unofficial godfather."

"Why did he shoot you?"

Sephiroth only glanced back at Vincent,"Because he was very protective of your mother. He was just trying to keep her safe."

While waiting for Kaia, Sephriea walked to the back of the room to look out the window. Outside near off to the streams were quite a few blooming flowers. Instead of going through the house, and passing up the caped man, she quietly opened the window. The cool breeze flowing into the room as she slipped outside.Quickly the girl picked four of the flowers along the stream before darting back to the window, and sneaking back in. There she closed the window, and hid the flowers behind her back.

Slowly, peeking into the living room once again her eyes scanned the area. Where was she? She thought about it, maybe she was with Zack again. He was gone after all.

Then it was like a little light bulb appeared over her head. She ran over to where Kaia and Sephiroth were.

Before they knew what she had done, Kaia had two flowers in her hair, on both sides....as well as Sephiroth!!

Lucrecia thought about what he had said, unable to tell, for the first time if it was a joke or he had slipped once again back into his darkness she was trying to hard to help him get rid of. As she felt his breathing slow down, it was then that she had realized he was falling asleep.The hint of a smile showing upon the womens face as she rested against him.There he was, sleeping again. And just like before it was still the most precious thing to her.


As Sephriea had finally come out of hideing, and done one of the most unexpected things in the world, she put a hand to her mouth to cover up the laugh that was just trying to make it's way out. Her son, Sephiroth had flowers in his hair!

((night, Holy))

"Well then," he put Sephira on his other knee beside her sister,"What do you want to know?"

"Is he a vampire?"

Sephiroth laughed,"No."

"I think he just likes the cape, but yes, he's a friend." He paused as he thought about how to answer the next few questions,"Its complicated... By being nice to him, you're helping, but as to what happened to him..." He looked over at Lucrecia, trying to choose his words carefully, before he looked back to the girls,"Hojo shot him, and put monsters in him, but your grandmother helped him...so he's alright now. He's just... very sad about things that happened long ago." He ruffled the girls' hair, careful to keep the flowers in place, "Vincent is a good person, so you don't need to be afraid of him."

"We'll wake them up when its dinner time...seems like everyone is worn out." He glanced at Cloud as he said this, then turned his attention back tot the girls,"Sephirea, have you ever seen fireworks before?"

Kaia practically bounced at the mention of them,"Fireworks? You got fireworks? Can we set them off right now?"

"Vincent brought them, and no, after dinner. It'll be darker then."

"That's Cloud, he's a friend too. He's not going to like me when he wakes up, I imagine... We didn't get along very well, long ago... But trust me, he's a friend." He thought for a moment,"Kaia, explain fireworks to your sister."

Kaia looked at her father in slight surprise, but then thought,"They're like noisy flowers made out of fire... They go boon, and they're really pretty! Sometimes you get ones that spin around, and then there's sparklers, they crackle and shoot off fire and look pretty..."
