[I flinched as someone called my name-no, wait...what used to be my name. Yeah.
I turned and squinted at the shadowy figure peering at me with crimson eyes. I recognized it immediately.]
"FOWSHAKEN!" I squeaked excitedly.
[I hauled myself up to my feet and scuttled up to him as best I could. I realized with embarrassment that I was a lot slower than I used to be as well. (( For those who haven't made the connection, Purepaw got fat. :I ))
I wrapped my front legs around his long, skinny arm, nuzzling it contentedly as I sat on my hindlegs. A small purr erupted in my throat, a hoarse and unused sound.]
"How have yhou been? I mished yow sho much!" I murmured softly, excitement still beaming accross my face.
[It still hurt to talk. Go figure. After all that time alone, healing, it should be healed by now...]
"Time wash lawng. I saw little catsh- all alone! I forget many thingsh, but had many dreamsh! About nothing, yet. I think...medicine still hasn't off worn."
[I spoke slowly and with difficulty, and it seemed as the medecine wore off, the pain increased.
Then I paused, finally realizing something.]
"What did you cahll me?" I asked, a little bit of the old spunk I had edging into my voice.
"Oh no you did not! Ah didn't wait eight moonsh to change mah name and hash you fohget it!"

She's interrupting my training!!! he hissed as he slinked into the shadows. Just then Foresaken moved away from Broken. Slasher silently followed. WHAT!?!?!? a pridelander!!??! Slasher flattened his ears. He approached Purepaw silently. Then he remembered what Foresaken said. Tempted to follow Broken almost jumped down from the fence but remembered the chat it had with Bluepaw earlier I'm injured, it's the ruler of shadows, it's already said it wanted to eat me she had enough reasoning to keep herself on the fence, she heard a loud squeak shouting Forsaken "A kit! It has a kit! How humiliating, I almost followed the advice of a mother-father-whatever, oh I'm so glad I haven't done anything yet. I would never lower myself as to listening to a cat who owns another" she laughed, she jumped down from the fence and returned to her nest, her pelt still carrying the scent of freshly spilled blood

_____________________________________[Forsaken squinted, a confused look on it's face.] "what, i didnt forget your name. Your Purekit. and... hmm, you are talking differently, aside from other things. it would seem the 2 legs medicine is waring off..." [Forsaken sat up suddenly as it turned one of it's ears, listening as Slasher approached the scene.] FOXDUNg! I thought i told them to wait back in the ally! [The demon growled a quiet warning to Purepaw as it slowly turned to face its apprentice. Its sadistic smile growing on it's darkening face.] "Slasher, i thought you were to wait in the ally. no matter. come, i have something to teach you..." [Despite foresaken's smile its tone was more serious and menacing then it normally was. the air around it was colder, more dangerous.] _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

"It's Pure-" I began, but stopped and stared after Forsaken.
Apprentice?! I thought wildly.
[Something seared across my heart with a burning flame. I hadn't felt emotions like this since I left the Clans...but what was it?
It tugged at my heart with an aching rip. What was this feeling called again?
I wish I was Forsaken's apprentice...but my mother would have a fit...mmm...mommy...I miss her...
However, at the same time, I was excited to meet somebody new! Especially if they were Forsaken's apprentice...they had to be worthy in some way.]
"Hay Fohshaken!" I whispered with wide eyes, peeking out from the bush I was sitting next to, "who's yoh fren?"
[Envy. That's what it was called!]

And entertain me as I will Broken snickered in her head, lying down as flat as she could on the ground behind all the cats so only Slasher was facing her, but her black coat cloaked her so that the only way he could pick her out from the ground was if he was looking for her So that's Pure, interesting name for a kit who's close friends with a demon

[finally, after much thought Forsaken looked back over to Slasher, a serious tone in it's voice. the demon whispered into the tom's ear.] "Slasher, this is Purekit. No harm is to come to her, understood. she has some odd connection in which i do not understand yet somehow effects me for the worst. I do not wish to take any unnecessary chances." [the demon said, hiding it's cold words with it's usual insensire, sweet tone it usually had. it peered down at Slasher, waiting for his returning response. only their eyes were visible in the could night, glowing like orbs of fire.] _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

Broken became frustrated, she had to know what Forsaken was saying, it could be important and even if it wasn't she still wanted to know what was such a big secret, her dark red eyes slowly became a lighter shade of red Why and I feeling this way-the blood lust-it's returning, but why! Those eagles are at the heart of it! I know it! she hissed in her head she suddenly became aware of a small puddle of blood beneath her Or maybe it...because...I'm loosing...to much...b-blood she soon found it hard to keep her eyes open I must stay awake though...
((eagles, they're at the heart of everything bad in Broken's eyes))

He spotted her, and his tail swiped above her nose, on her eyes, as if putting her to sleep. Slasher narrowed his eyes. " Your instructions are clear to me. However, if this kit in anyway poses any threat to you in any way I will destroy it..." He hissed coldly in Foresaken's ear, so no one except the demon could hear. But Forsaken greatly respected Slasher for his loyalty and willingness to help it in any situation. the demon sneered at it's apprentice, putting itself at ease.] kekekeke Slasher, i can tell already that you will be the ultimate apprentice. i will be sure to lead you down the path or great power and success. [the demon frowned, however, when it notice Slashers attention focus on something in the bushes. Without thinking Forsaken protectively wrapped it's cold, whip like tail around Purepaw to secure her and turned to the smell of blood. It narrowed its eyes to see Broken fading out.] ... how bothersome, i could have sworn i had just healed her wounds not to long ago. No matter where i go i always seem to run into cats... [Forsaken smiled, seeing an opportunity for it's apprentice.] "Slasher, One you learn how to deceive and secure others to bend to your will you are sure to have minions. It is likely they will be injured at times. The best medicine can be found buried in the den of 2 legs. I will teach you how to use it to heal and if necessary to poison your enemys. kekekek Medicine can be used to kill as well..." _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

[I looked from Slasher to Forsaken and then back again. My eyes grew wide with angry disbelief.]
"Oh geez!" I hissed angrily, "Ah'm barehly gahn foh ah moon and you're alrea'y star'ing trouble again."
[I glared at Forsaken, my hazel eyes blazing with painful rage. I know you were connected to Leopardstorm's death, Forsaken, but I was somehow able to forgive it...and now...it's almost as if you like to hurt me!
Frustrated, I whipped away from the demon. For the first time, his touch made me sick to the stomach. The image of Leopardstorm's broken body kept filling my mind.
Puh. I bet he would've forgotten me if I'd've stayed in that twoleg place. Stupid, stupid, stupid...I'm so stupid.
Wait, Forsaken doesn't really have a gender, does he? ...but I...don't want to call him an "it". That makes him sound like he has no heart...
Pain prickled at my own heart. I thought more fondly, ...can't you at least try to be good when I'm gone...? You were doing so well before...
But he'd been plotting Leopardstorm's demise all along. Ay. This is too much to think about.
I stomped away, my fur bristling, without any idea of the dangerous beasts that stalked the lands.
It seems like I'm nothing to Forsaken anymore.
Maybe demons don't have hearts after all.]

_____________________________________[The demon smiled devilishly at it's apprentices anticipation. Forsaken quickly gathered slipped into the all to familiar vet's house, snatching up certain bottles and ointments here and there. Quickly and quietly, the demon returned and placed the tools to be used before Slasher.] "theses are powerful and potent poisons of the 2 legs. if used correctly, they have immense healing powers that can heal any wound twice as fast as any medicine cat. but if used ignorantly they can backfire, causing great discomfort, and if used against the enemy with expertise, can cause instant death." [Forsaken with a smile assorted the complex, gibberish labeled bottles into separate categories.] "these heal open wounds but kill slowly and painfully if swallowed, these heal internal problems and kill pain but sting sharply if applied to shredded flesh, and theses help strengthen broken and healing bones but can cause blindness if applied to the eyes. For your bleeding friend here you will want to use medicine from long and flexible bottles, but only apply if the ointment is white. then give her some of these red pebbles (pills) to kill her pain and give her strength." [Forsaken then picked out some red pebbles itself and turned to Purepaw to heal her still sore jaw. the demon's smile melted away when it heard her angered protest. Forsaken didnt understand, it didnt do anything, not that she should know of anyway, yet she seemed... different in its presence now. it could sense her suspicious thoughts of it spinning around in her head as she looked into it's hellish red eyes. before her eyes were warm and comforting, the only place the demon felt safe, but now, they looked like every other cat's eyes that looked upon it. This time the demon felt something it had never felt before, even when it was still an ordinary cat... something like, regret? maybe? Forsaken dropped the small red stones and let them fall. they landed softly in the grass before her paws. Forsaken could feel pain, it could feel it. a feeling that it had just lost something precious that would never return.] ".... Purekit, whats wrong. you are acting differently. do... do you hate me?" [the demon said in a monotone voice. An expression on its evil face never shown to the world before. It was so out of place on the demon's face if one didnt see it's sadistic smile moments ago the demon would have been unrecognizable. The demon could feel itself fall to pieces inside as she walked further and further away, pain consuming the demons eyes as it closed them to hide itself from the unforgiving world in which it lived.] please dont go..._____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

[I paused, looking back at Forsaken with troubled eyes.]
"I can't bring myhself to hate youh," I muttered softly, "despite everything you did. But I'm jus' a 'prentice, jus' another face you'll hate, no matter how hard I try...to..."
[A look of aching tiredness spread accross my face.
I waited so long for you to come back for me, Forsaken, but you never did. You forgot me, in that place where time stops and every moment seems to last a lifetime. Yawning, empty silence in a cold metal den with that stupid round thing (( uh...the cone around the animal's head)) rendering me inable to move. I don't even know how old I am anymore! There's no sky in that silent place of loneliness! And every other animal there is critically injured and just as alone as I am.
All I wanted was assurance that you still cared for me. But you forgot. Everything...and now I'm a fat ball of fluff who can't walk right anymore.
Is all what I wanted to say to him, but there was that apprentice of his who would probably kill me on Forsaken's command. Just hearing Forsaken saying those terrible things, teaching someone else like him to be like a demon...I wished I was big and strong so I could chase that cat far away from here!
But all I am is a dwarfed kitten with no fighting skills. Unimportant, unnecessary. A traitor in my Clan's eyes for disappearing. And still, I can't bring myself to hate you!
Sometimes, it was my deepest, darkest wish to join the ranks of the Dark Forest, just so I could be with him. Closer to him than I was living. But I knew deep down that I would join StarClan, and be as far apart from him as I ever could be...
I actually missed you, more than I thought I would. I thought of my family, Leopardstorm, everyone...but it all trailed back to you. But now that I can see you again...it feels...more like you wouldn't care if I burst into flames.]
"Yeh," I muttered to myself, forgetting that he was there as I was lost in my own thought, "I c'd prolly burst into flames an be forgotten in much less than half a moon's time."
[I started to walk away again, having trouble maneuvering between the sticks and rocks that littered the ground, for the first time. Geez, I'm really out of shape...]
(( For those who are wondering:
Yes, Purepaw suddenly stopped talking and stared off into space while she thought about all those things. |D
Yes, she has such a short attention span, she forgot Forsaken and Slasher were there and started walking away again.
Yes, she will become cheerful again, but right now she's fat and lonely and feels abandoned. :C Plus she trekked over several hours to get back home, and she's kinda hauling more weight than usual. xD She has a right to be a grumpypants.
