Again tho, Im pretty sure it's not. I see where your coming from, but I think you just need to be a sand ninja. Or atleast when I asked Misa she allowed me to use it with only one of those elements.

She taught me a katon jutsu, and when I asked if I could teach it to someone else later another crew member revealed that you can't learn outside your element.

at academy level we aren't able to let the sand level our bodies, meaning that it can't get off of us, we can't use it very well.
and it doesn't say in the style that you have to have those elements, maybe for the higher up ranks, but not for academy.

what rule did I break? if something is moving fast by law of inertia, it isn't going to just fall, it will coninue moving, ok, maybe the sand blaster bit was a bit much, but he had to go anyways, I had to go pretty soon too, and I was going to have him hit kir, and knock Kir out, so Yuu would have an excuse to pick him up, if he would have stabbed me, then I would have taken that as a death threat, and sent Yuu in there, and they would have killed him, and became fugitives, and with kir's spine severed from getting stabbed by a kunai, they wouldn't have been worth playing... It says clearly that I can manipulate it to an extent in the stupid style. It says in the academy section MANIPULATION IS NOT VERY GOOD AT THIS LEVEL, that mean basically side to side and small circles. That is the only thing I have ever used, granted I may have made it sound better than it probably looked, but I was taught that way, my old english teacher would fail us if our Stories didn't have a bare minemum of 1000 adjectives in it, so I describe things overly. sorry if that leads you to mis interpret what I'm trying to say. but that is how i was taught, and it has served me well up until this point...

I'll talk to Orchid about it, she has Zane's cell number and can talk to him directly. Sand jutsus should only be able to be learned after becoming a Chunin due to getting your second element then.

As for the sand jutsus, any sand shinobi can learn them as long as it takes an elemental slot. So it's sort of like an extra element, like medical and the such. the requirement is simply to be a sand shinobi.
In regards to the taijutsu style, you shouldn't be able to hardly control sand at all...meaning the sand to encircle you or waver is not valid. Granted if the sand moves down your shoulder and unto your arm, that's fine, but you shouldn't be able to manipulate sand at the academy level.
The one tail has a very increased power over sand, probably by one rank higher...does this answer your questions?

It'd be nice if it were somehow better explained in the post on the style, because it seems everyone who uses it starts doing things that just don't work. When I read through the style I see pure physical augmentation, but everyone else seems to go with manipulation being the main aspect of the style. It doesn't even look like manipulation to me until it hits jounin, and even then it's very low level.

k, I will cease to use the Sand as though i am manipulating it, I thought because it said that you could manipulate it to some effect that i could make it move back and forth rapidly, I am sorry. i was wrong.

The picture of gaara manipulating the sand probably threw most people off, it got me, it was just a psychological catalyst, when someone sees that picture they think manipulation, and that's what I thought. and it just procceded form there... Man now I think the desert fist style is crap... i'm already stronger than an average shinobi, I don't really want more augmentation...

The sand style is actually better at the later stages as opposed to the lower stages

From what I can tell, all the academy level really does is add weight to your fists, hence the reason it says it makes your hits more powerful. At genin level the sand starts to add itself to the attack. At chuunin level the hits begin to act like sand paper, sort of like you did, but only when you're actually punching or kicking. The style is focused around powering up physical attacks with an extra sting. The control over the sand, is just telling it "Get on my hands so I can punch somebody".
That's what it looks like to me at any rate.
