Soon Jason woke up, and again out of sheer habit he inspected himself, for abnormalities. as usual he found none. he noticed his clothes were gone. "Now what the..." he started, however he did not finish his sentence. he started to admire Aiza more and more, she even managed to sneak in and grab his clothes without him noticing! he got up and looked for clothes. though he felt bad for borrowing some from whoever had lived in this room, took some from one of the cabinets. "Whoa, perfect fit!" he said to no one in particular. after that he went through his stuff, a survival knife, flashlight, a load of batteries, some conserved flesh from his last hunting act, the two canteen's he had, one empty, the other one filled, his fifty bucks and... "Wait a second... where are my charms... those which I learned to make from that monk... they're supposed to protect me from the darkness he sensed within me. whatever he ment by that." he thought, not that he believed that talk anyway, however, it helped ease his mind and were his most prized possessions, as they had been given by his best, and only friend since a long time. he usually kept them close to him, because it reminded him of the person.

"I'm pretty hungry actually." Jason said, "However, have you seen a necklace with some figures carved from stone and wood? They were a gift from an important friend of mine. it's rather precious to me." he said. he didn't look worried, however, something about him looked different. it was hard to tell what though.

"I had put them in my bag last night." Jason said, "I'm feeling fine, thanks for being concerned though." he smiled. in fact his temperature lowered very slowly however, the change would be noticeable for most people. it was only a slight change. however it had taken a slight amount from his humanity. Jason didn't know about that himself. as far as he knew he was an ordinary human, who got used to surviving outdoors.

Thanks Aiza." Jason said smiling brightly. he didn't notice the changes himself though. "Thanks for making this for me." he said, then he started eating it.

Jason looked at Aiza as she left the room. "How did she know they were charms..." he wondered, "Nevermind." he thought, as he enjoyed the meal. he had to say that Aiza was a great cook, in his opinion.

Jason had finished the breakfast by now. he jumped up, not realizing that he was a little too fast for a human. "Yes! those are the charms!" he smiled hugely, as they ment a lot to him.

as soon as Jason touched the charms he became all normal again, like he never lost them. "I haven't got much plans yet, but I have promised Virgil to help him out too."
