Sample PM to ask a member to be a Prefect:
Quote:
Hello,
I was wondering if you would like to become a Prefect for the upcoming term.
Your job would mostly be to help keep the guild spam-free, report behavior problems, that sort of thing. You will also have the ability to punish students by taking away house points for things failing post in a house color, being caught in a foreign common room (even if it's just "I read in *house*'s common room that..." That's admitting that they were there), and spamming. You would do this by merely posting the punishment in the Hour Glasses(to know how many to dock, you should read the rules in the Entrance Hall, they've been edited). However, the Mods will still have the power to over-rule any point-docking punishments that you may give(although this is not very likely, it's just best for you to know that it's possible).
It's not the hardest job in the guild and shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes on any given day. But you will need to lead by example; posting often, visiting the guild at least twice a week (or posting in the common room that you will be gone), and keeping in touch with me, your fellow Prefect, and the Junior Prefects(it would be nice if you could help and give your opinions when they need it as well).
If you're interested in this position, please PM me back as soon as possible so that I may put your name on the list. If you're not, that's quite alright, but I'd still need you to PM me as soon as possible so that I may try to find another in stead. If I get no reply by the 31st, then I'm afraid I'll have to ask someone else, and if I don't find someone before the 4th of September, then the spot will have to remain empty all semester.
Thanks for your time,
Katie
