((Shizuru, Isabelle, Felecia, investigator dude newly named Arich.))

The investigator coolly looked at the young lady. Although she was crying and he felt , he couldn't shake an uncomfortable feeling, but that could be due to the fact that she had mentioned skeletons, and he had thought he was hallucinating before from Adam's punch.

"Where do you live?" the investigator asked. "We'll heading to town hall right now for more information. You can come with us if you'd like." He looked back at Shizuru and Felecia to check with the ladies were alright. Maybe it was his imagination playing tricks on him again, but the doctor looked annoyed.

Shane was sitting back, having done all he could do at the time, when the gate crashed open. Shane immediately jumped up and sprinted to retrieve his broadsword a few yards away. He returned to the front to see the Mage Guard captain yelling about a skeleton. Shane turned to see the skeleton of Alderin bravely fighting most of the Eurosian army. Shane took a last glance at Lyris before heading up to the fight. Shane was whirling and slashing, the silver of his sword flashing around, along with the occasional scarlet of freshly drawn blood. After several minutes of this, Shane began to slow down to conserve energy, and chanced a small break. Little did he know, however, that there was a berserker right behind him, about to cleave his head in two, when...

*click, bang!*

Lyris had since awaken, somewhat less dizzy than before, and with two planks of wood attached to his right leg. He moved his left leg so that the knee was pointing up in a triangle, and he was leaning on his left elbow for support as he reloaded his revolver with one bullet. Noticing Shane was about to be killed, Lyris aimed his gun at the berserker and shot a perfect shot through the head. He managed a grin at Shane, who had been looking around wildly for the source of the shot.

[Bam! Incapacitated Lyris saves the day!]

Haucon glanced sidelong at Aidan after the barkeeper's remark about her profession, wondering how she would take it and feeling somewhat protective of her. He didn't have long to ponder either of these feelings however as it appeared the entire Eurasion army had descended on them en masse. He needed a weapon, a real weapon, not just the piece of wood he'd haphazardly pulled out of the wreckage of Aidan's shop, and he didn't have much time. His bow was back at the stables.

He turned to Aidan and said quickly. "Stay here and stay safe, I'll be right back." before turning and sprinting as fast as he could to the stables. Once there, he grabbed his bow and quiver checking to see it was full before bridling Farran the largest war horse in the stables. He climbed up, too much in a rush to bother with a saddle, and kicked the large gelding into a gallop back to where the he'd left Aidan. The scene was somewhat more confusing now, but having the horse to clear the area was very useful and he quickly sighted her and pulled up beside her.
((There, now I'm not quite so useless!))

Ian the Archer
And my luck has ran out.

Ian had resumed killing the Eurosian soldiers from his point on the tower roof. Several times he had killed an attacking soldier before he could have killed one of the defending force. Focusing mainly on the heavily armored ones, he found to his delight that he could easily fire on to their exposed shoulders and necks from his vantage point. They were reduced to tatters in a few minutes of rapid firing into their midst. One of the last remaining siege weapons had finally got it's act together and fired the meter long bolt at the tower where he had been aiming from. With no other options, he jumped. Missing the first pole, he found himself speeding up in the direction of the ground rapidly. Rubble from the now ruined tower would be falling just behind him going towards the crowd of defenders below. ”WATCH OUT!!” Although Ian was lucky enough to land on a jut of the tower, the soldiers below would be much worse off if he had done nothing. Most of the bricks were bigger than his head after all.

Aidan Vale The Apothecary

As Shane tied the splint, Aidan knelt silently by, unsure of how she could help. She watched the process, and was suddenly glad that Lyris was still unconscious. When Shane spoke, Aidan looked up, studying his expression. There were many citizens who would not put their faith magic, and this man was obviously one of them. Slightly annoyed, Aidan was about to respond, but before she could so much as even open her mouth, she was interrupted by a succession of rapid events. Whipping her head around, Aidan responded to the sound of the gate finally giving way. Shane was simply a blur as he rushed past her to join the fray, and Aidan felt her hand instinctively jump to her own sword. Looking back at the unconscious Lyris, the elf relaxed a little, preferring to pay attention to the wounded man instead of entering the battle herself. Looking back to the battle, Aidan's eyes found Shane, just as the soldier behind him raised the weapon that would end the bartender's life. Eyes widening in shock, Aidan opened her mouth to shout. Before she could form the words, however, a tiny click and resounding shot echoed from behind her. Instinctively, Aidan jumped, covering her sensitive ears. Turning back, toward Lyris' the female's eyes were wide with shock. She had time to notice his smile before Aidan heard Haucon speak. Before she could protest he was already sprinting in the direction of the stables. Rather irritated at her inability to get a word in edge-wise, the diminutive elf's hand flew back to her sword as the battle's participants moved closer to her position.

((I'm lacking inspiration as well...

Harbor update. The rest of the gate updates are coming.))

"The dragon is on our side," Kevin said shakily as he received a telepathic message from Tia. "Draw back closer to the docks." He wasn't about to lose any ships to some dragon, which was apparently on their side.

Unfortunately, another dragon had suddenly appeared to wrestle the first dragon. Uh, Tia? Is that yours too? Why is it fighting? The new dragon was also an ice dragon, and the two dragons were making a mess of the harbor, creating big waves that were giving the Chronopolitans and the enemy issues. "STEADY!" Kevin hollered. Whatever the case, the navy was in a bad position. They couldn't keep backing up into the harbor forever, and it limited their movement, making it easier for the enemy to bombard them.

Tia, can you get the dragon to fight farther out? Kevin thought, not knowing if Tia could hear him since he wasn't capable of telepathy. If those waves got big and turbulent enough, they would hit the buildings by the harbor, causing more havoc on the city and possibly grounding the navy. We need to end this now.

The Captain of the Sea Guard sighed. "Sea Guard, prepare to fire on the enemy ships!" If both sides were confused, perhaps, they could use the confusion to their advantage. They just had to ...not hit the dragons and make them angry.

At that moment, a voice sounded in Kevin's head.

Kevin, end it. The Northern Cemetary has been weakened. They must not find that.

Kevin sighed. Easier said than done. I'm on it, Master.

((North Gate - Allen and the High Guard))

Skeletons. What madness was this? Something was wrong. It wasn't right for the dead to walk. The captain couldn't shake a very uncomfortable feeling in his heart. Lord Thomas, why are you not here when the strangest of events occur?

Aside from that, Captain Allen's hunch of who was attacking had been right and confirmed by Kira's messenger, Eurosia. He really didn't understand why they insisted on attacking one city such as Chronopolis. What was there to gain? What ridiculous notion did they have of a treasure? Allen didn't even know of one. And, some of the Eurosians had rather strange masks on that made them seem inhuman. He had gotten a close look at one when he struck one down. Certainly, in the rain and the darkness, they seemed eerie and intimidating.

The captain's thoughts were interrupted by one of the High Guards. The enemy was retreating at the North Gate with minimal losses on the Chronopolitan side. "Excellent, keep up the good work."

"Should we go after them, captain?"

"No, that won't be necessary. The inner city is safe. The Mage General is handling the outer sectors." It wouldn't do to spread the forces too thin, and from the reports, the enemy wasn't harassing the outer areas too much. They were concentrating on the inner city after all. "East Gate is having some issues though. Some of you head over there to help out. The rest of you, watch for the enemy. It may be a short lull." He handed a written message to a guard. "Pass this to Captain Kira." The message basically requested Kira not freak out at the sight of the undead, and that Allen would figure out the issue with them.

Unfortunately, unknown to Allen, the enemy had retreated to head to East Gate to help charge through since the gate had already been breached.

"Captain Allen!" The blonde haired captain turned to a teenage boy running toward him. "Meeting at the town hall! The council wants to know what's going on!"

The captain nodded. Timing was bad, but it needed to be done. The enemy was in the city, and Chronopolis had to take civilian action as well. "Thank you. I'm coming." He turned to the remaining High Guards at the North Gate. "Take care of things here, and if Aleron shows up... assign him to lead watch." With that, the captain headed off with the boy to town hall.

((Edit: Oops. Forgot something. Added the town hall bit for Felecia, Shizuru, Arich, and Isabelle.))

((South Gate - Adam, Shrava. ))

"Wheeeeeeeeeeee!" Forest suddenly dashed into the South Gate area and tried to weasel her way outside of the walls. The hound, Fang, bounded behind her happily, tongue lolling out.

"Oh, hell no," Adam spat. "Someone stop her from being a f**king idiot!" He was already annoyed at Shrava's question to him earlier, asking if he had provoked the skeleton first. He had answered it, but as he mentioned... the skeleton did continue attacking him later, so it didn't make sense to him.

"But butbut! I want to see the skeleton thingies!" Forest chirped as she tried to go through the soldiers and get through he barricade, not that she would since it was one a girl and a dog against a bunch of hardy soldiers.

“Shrava, stop that kid before she does anything stupid,” Adam ordered, even though Shrava wasn't under his command. He scoffed and headed up to the top of the inner walls to see what was going on. If Shrava wanted to come along to watch, he could...even with the lord's brat. "Forest, it's all yer fault for making us decorate the damn castle." The bright pink on the castle was still rather visible in the rain. That makes me damn sick.

Outside the walls, the skeletons were doing pretty well against the enemy ranks, but at that moment, one of the skeletons scattered, breaking apart, leaving the other one very much alone. There was another mass of enemy soldiers in the back behind the group of soldiers fighting now, but they were not moving for some reason.

----
"Not as strong as you thought, hmm? I've broken the barrier on Chronopolis, the one that keeps it in a separate space from the rest of the world." A man smiled. "Well, it should be soon now," he said, looking into a crystal ball in had in front of him. "The city's defenses are failing one by one." What the man didn't say out loud was that breaking that one barrier had taken a couple of years, albeit it was one that didn't even seem too important since it didn't interfere with anything really noticeable.

Inside the particular crystal ball was an image of a room with another older looking man with a crown, flanked by two advisors. They were communicating with the crystal ball mage.

"Of course, I remember the deal. The city peaks my interest as well," the mage said.

((...hmm, this mage seems ridiculously skilled...Guess I'll have to finish his profile for the story purposes.))

Shizuru had a frown on her face, and she wanted answers. She was totally impatient right now. "Come on. Stop wasting time!" She grabbed Isabelle's arm and started dragging her after the investigator. She glared at the other girl, Felecia and then at the investigator. "Let's go already!"

((Sorry about all the posts. I didn't want to confuse anyone while I'm moving the plot forward. Those posts may help in coming up with conspiracy theories or figuring out what's going on.))

((East Gate – Ian, Haucon, Aidan, Lyris, Kira, Shane))

East Gate was breached, and had been falling. Haucon’s horse maneuver did indeed help with taking down the enemy soldiers, as did Lyris, Shane, and Ian’s actions. However, the siege weapon sent several of the Chronopolitan soldiers to their deaths or painful injuries. One or two of the enemy ended up caught in the rumble as well.

…NO! Kira was not happy with the situation. The gate she had been in charge of had been breached. They needed to regroup to push the enemy back. A High Guard appeared on the scene and shoved a message into her hand. She read it quickly. I know, Allen. Focus. The enemy seemed endless in numbers and strangely varied in race, and they were coming into the city, no matter how much effort the Chronopolitans were putting in. Hopefully, Allen could warn and get the civilians prepared in time….though probably not since the gate was already breached. The place which would take the least damage and harm the least people was the castle area. It was painfully obvious anyway with the random decorations on it. "To the castle!" she yelled, implying for everyone that could hear her to drive the enemy that way. The Northern Cemetery would be in the same direction on the way to the castle.

The skies suddenly began to darken as ominous black clouds rolled in… the same type of clouds that the rest of the world was suffering from. They were shutting out all sunlight, if there had been any to begin with, because of the rain clouds. These new clouds also seemed to stop the rain though. A single ray of sunlight peeked through one section of the dark ominous clouds directly above the North Cemetery, casting an odd glow within the fenced area of the cemetery. It was the only source of natural light from the sky.

---

"...hmm... looks like the starting location has been revealed..." The mage smiled as he opened a book of his notes. "All this research might pay off this time. Let's see if it's the real thing."

((Edit: Each of you will be receiving a pm sometime, something that your character will become responsible in the future events of this "treasure" hunt. It will somehow relate to your character's background or skills.))

Haucon was keeping the large horse close to Aidan and trying to make sure he could keep an eye on her without getting in her way too much. The enemy was everywhere and fairly well equipped and diverse in nature. Being higher up on the horse gave Haucon a better vantage point to be able to survey the scene but nonetheless it was apparent that they were fighting a losing battle. The call came to head for the castle and he looked once again for Aidan. He found her and urged the horse through the crowd of weapons toward her. Reaching her he stretched his hand down offering it to her and shouting over the din: "It will be easier to stick together if you're up here!"

Isabelle The Barbers Daughter
Filthy human!!

As she was needlessly dragged along, the dust kicking up under her feet, Isabelle felt the need to rid the good doctor of her hand. Blowing her cover was not good though so she bore with it.
" Me? I live, I live, the salon... Urgh! Let go of my arm you witch! I can walk fine by myself!!" She snapped in frustration at not being able to answer the investigators questions due to the puling. Freeing herself from Shizuru's grip Isabelle ran to catch up with the Investigator.

Taint Imp Of Corruption
AHA! I can't hold back now.

Bouncing along the roof line above Isabelle was Taint. She had been laughing to herself as the highly entertaining scene unfolded below her, but she felt the need to join in. Floating down under her glamour onto Isabelle's shoulder.
"You look like you're really having a ball here don't you~. If I was you that doctor would be spilling a lot of blood just now, I'm impressed you managed to keep it to a 'gentle' shout, yi'know?" she said cheekily in Isabelle's ear.
"I am NOT in the mood for your stupid sly remarks. Buzz off before I decapitate you using your own legs..." Isabelle responded quietly. If the others seen her talking to whatever they could see they may think sh was insane, but then again it might give her an excuse to drop the stupid salon cover.
"Oh! Feisty today aren't you! Not much different from usual then is it." She said a little too loud as she getting comfy on Isabelle's shoulder.

Shizuru scoffed when Isabella pulled out of her grasp. At least the girl was hurrying up. The doctor quickened her steps to get into line with the others. After a moment, Shizuru narrowed her eyes. There was some dot near Isabelle, and it was flying around. A fly? Shizuru thought she heard voices, but the little girl was probably just mumbling to herself. "Flies seem to like you," the doctor said audibly and tried to slap the dot with her palms to get rid of what she thought was a fly.

Taint Imp Of Corruption
Stabby stabby~

Fly? I'll fly you b***h... Thought taint as she calmly raised her axe at the oncoming hand. If the Glamour made her a fly she couldn't really complain, but it didn't look like the disguise would last much longer, after all no one gets stabbed by a fly wielding an axe with 3 inch head to it...
Isabelle on the other hand just smirked when she seen the hands approaching and the axe raise. She knew what Taint was thinking though... Their disguise was going to fail... A new story would have to be thought up... But what, it would be fairly obvious of their connections once they were brought to light. How could she disguise them both again.
Damn you Taint, why can you not just fly off... It is always about the conflict. Well, maybe some blood will brighten my mood of this horrible place. She thought as she suppressed her anger in readiness for her cover up.

((Remember that now everything is pitch dark save for any lights/flames/lanterns and the sunlight streaming on the Northern Cemetery.

Also, as a general announcement, I'm going to treat the "treasure hunt" as the last part of the roleplay, which means.... we could very well hit an ending.

On that note, in about a week, I'm going to be somewhere where I may not be able to get internet access for about two weeks. I'll try to leave you guys in a spot where your characters can yell at each other or something.))

All of a sudden, clouds had rolled in and the skies were completely dark. The investigator looked up for a moment in wonder. "What happened?" he mumbled. Something was off. Time was ticking, and he hoped answers would be at the town hall.

Luckily, the street lights had been lit earlier because of the rain's shadowing. So, the investigator and the humans could make out the roads. Some races could see better in the dark than others. The investigator was a human, and he assumed the others were as well since they didn't have pointed ears like elves.

The investigator ignored the commotion between the girls behind him as he started walking again. "Ah, the salon," he said acknowledging Isabelle's answer. He would have inquired further, but he was distracted by the darkness. "Quickly," he urged the others. He had no idea what was about to happen between the "fly" and Shizuru.
